Great Camp
Great Camp hearkens back to an idyllic, bygone era-before cell phones and mind-numbing social apps. This dynamic area features a wide variety of activities, including: a 24-hour Dollar General store, disc golf, a ropes course, playground, a beach volleyball court, a multi-use sports field, a miniature golf course, and access to the community's extensive hiking trail network.
The Great Camp area is also home to the Summer Concert Series, a free concert series each Saturday during summer months that is hosted in Eagles Nest and open to all visitors enjoying the community. Camp Eagles Nest
Camp Eagles Nest is the newest amenity area featuring a climbing tower, large playground, tennis court, stream-fed trout fishing pond, basketball, pickleball, and disc golf. Located midway between the Great Camp and North Pavilion areas, the Camp area is an exciting new option for families to enjoy.
Also near the Camp Eagles Nest area is the Beech Mountain gate, allowing quick access from this side of Eagles Nest over to Beech Mountain for skiing, sledding, ice skating, and dining!
Epic Chophouse at Eagles Nest
Epic Chophouse restaurant in Banner Elk offers the top dining experience and best mountain views in the High Country of North Carolina. The Eagles Nest location is perched at 4,300 feet elevation and opened in 2025. The lodge-like setting has soaring ceilings, glass walls and striking art, plus covered decks complete with firepits. Open year-round, the bar and dining room with a massive stone fireplace are perfect places to gather with friends on winter days. Reservations are not taken at the Epic Chophouse, but guests can call the restaurant to be placed on the waiting list.
North Pavilion
Just as Great Camp serves as a gathering spot for families on the southern end of the property, so the gorgeously conceived North Pavilion attracts families with its gorgeous views and variety of amenities and activities for all ages. Enjoy the multi-use sports court, fenced in dog park, a walking path, and the Bistro restaurant for quick bites.
River Club
Located near the southern end of Eagles Nest is the picturesque Eagles Nest River Club-an exclusive gated entrance private club offering memberships to property owners at Eagles Nest. Located along the banks of the famous Elk River, the River Club grants members various amenities, including 2,000 feet of riverfront on one of the most coveted trophy trout fishing waterways on the East Coast. Members also have access to a bait-and-tackle shop and reclaimed wood lockers that can be purchased and used for storing fishing equipment and apparel.
Access to the River Club is available to guests staying in the River Club.
Eagles Nest Winery
This stunning facility carefully complements the luxurious rustic aesthetic of Eagles Nest and opened in Fall 2020. Day passes are available for purchase by guests over 21 years of age.
Wellness Retreats
Set amidst the natural beauty of the High Country, Eagles Nest promotes an active, healthy, natural living experience. Multi-day Wellness Retreats and 1-day Wellness Seminars are designed to give guests the tools they need to improve mental clarity and physical well-being. For multi-day retreats, guests will enjoy programs led by a double-board certified doctor in integrative and family medicine, a professional chef, and a mental health therapist. Each participant will learn health-forward lifestyle tips and wellness activities, as well as farm-to-table, whole-food eating that can be utilized at home.
