If you're not familiar with the Parkway's mile marker system, it starts at 0.0 in northern Virginia and goes to MP 469.1 at Cherokee, NC. (A fun tip to help with navigating around our area: you can remember that Blowing Rock is at MP 295, which is the same three digits as the telephone exchange for Blowing Rock numbers!)
