Grandview Getaway

The rental had more than enough space for my family and extended family. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. Everything was close by and easy to get to. Overall we. Would recommend staying here. We would definitely come back. We had to leave early and they accommodated us to use one day we didn’t use at a later date. They were very responsive and the directions helped us find our way there to avoid closed roads for winter.

My family had a great time. The large table is perfect for games. The host company was very helpful and friendly. Had some issues with the garbage disposal and it was fixed promptly. The location of the house is close to Boone and other attractions.

House was large enough to accommodate everybody for our mini vacay!
Other than a few minor repairs that need to be done this house was perfect
My only recommendation would be to get the fence fixed in the little backyard because having small children and dogs can get through it as the fence is broken in some spots and the gaps are very large
Very peaceful and beautiful views
Definitely would stay again sometime in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again! The hot tub was great, the home layout was perfect for our huge family. The fireplaces were awesome, and the views were beautiful.
If you’re going during snow/ice, we have 4WD trucks and 4WD 2500 suburbans (with VERY experienced heavy machinery & CDL drivers), and we still wouldn’t have made it on the road to the house. We would’ve had to have also had snow CHAINS. Not either/or, like the listing suggests. You’d need both.
DIRECTIONS FYI: we have iOS 18 and Siri’s directions brought us directly to the house, despite being told several times (which we appreciated) to go by their directions and not navigation. But, we decided to try it and half of us went their way and half went Siri’s way, and it was the exact same, except one little early exit that Siri gave, which was actually more accurate and faster.

We had an amazing stay! The location is perfect—close to town, but still feels like a peaceful retreat. The views are stunning, and the cabin itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. One note for future guests: if visiting during snowy weather, AWD or 4WD is highly recommended, as the roads are steep and winding, true to a mountain experience. Overall, a fantastic getaway spot—we'd love to stay here again!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Grandview Getaway. Excellent space for a group. Some highlights for us included the solitude location, large dinning room table, decks for days, hot tub, highly functional kitchen and of course the views. The house definitely feels remote, but you are also not far from Boone and Blowing Rock. All the views and hikes you could want are nearby along the Parkway and State Parks. For some good brew check out Appalachian Mountain Brewery in Boone. They are pet friendly with an ample outdoor area and seating. Thank you! Mike

We had an AMAZING weekend at the Grandview Getaway! It was perfect for our large family of 11! The space was so roomy and comfy! We loved cooking in the awesome kitchen together, playing poker at the oversized dining room table, everyone enjoyed the ping pong table, the living room was the perfect size for us to play Pictionary & watch movies, and the wrap around porch was the perfect hangout to catch the AMAZING views, sunsets, and even a rainbow! Ohhh, and the hot tub was the prime hangout in the evenings! We could have stayed forever! We look forward to going back!

The advertising and property description were right on target. The cottage was very clean which is important for us. The road in and out is a bit of an adventure being only one lane and winding with a couple of blind corners. There are only a couple of other houses on the road so there was no traffic. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was easy to work with and there were no surprises. Lovely views. Great kitchen with "industrial grade" appliances. We will likely use BRMR on our next trip to Boone.

We booked for a long weekend away where we could gather for meals and great views with a group of friends. This property was wonderful - we especially enjoyed the large living room with great views and fireplace. We were able to spread out, cook large meals, and enjoyed the hot tub. There were a few stink bugs as a few previous reviewers mentioned, but not beyond what we might expect in the mountains. My only suggestion beyond attending to the stink bugs would be to replace some the bed and bathroom linens that were worn.
