The house and location were lovely. Beautiful river, great porch. We spent pretty much our entire day outside by the water, so can't speak to how the house is during the day. Inside was well taken care of and linens were clean. The house was one bed short of the listing (expected 8 beds, only 7 present), but the property managers said that detail would be updated.

Fantastic property for family get togethers. Everyone in our party from ages 12 to 76 years old enjoyed themselves. The river runs right behind the house so every morning was enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch while listening to the water. Game room was a great set up. Had everything we needed. The area is isolated, so don't expect a lot of food delivery options. There are neighbors on either side, but the property is far enough away that you don't feel that your privacy is being invaded. Kitchen had everything you could need and the washer and dryer were a lifesaver. Property was clean and well kept. Only critique as far as comfort goes is the beds are VERY firm. We actually bought a mattress topper for our stay that helped a lot. Communication with the property manager was perfect and details of check in and check out we're precise. Boone is about a 20 minute drive, but we found ourselves wanting to stay at the house rather than go out. Can't wait to stay again.

River Roost is a great house! There was plenty of space for our combined families of 8. Peaceful surroundings to relax and the game room was perfect for the teens! Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We took advantage of the easy 25 mins drive to Tweetsie Railroad to enjoy their Halloween fun! It was a great weekend with our App State students. The home was very well furnished. We loved the location on the river for tubing. This was our fourth year renting in Todd for the July 4th week and our favorite rental. The bed space is perfect with 3 queens and 2 twins, and 2 roll aways if needed. The kitchen was the best! It was well stocked with everything you need to cook and a full spice cabinet. We had sharp knives and even found a steamer. There was ample outdoor seating to enjoy the porches and backyard. We enjoyed the annual Todd Liberty Day parade and music in the park.

The living room and kitchen area offered lots of seating options for everybody to hang out and be together. Two families stayed here. We have kids who thoroughly enjoyed the river, and we had s’mores by the fire both nights. There was a bundle of wood waiting for us. Also, very nice to have a playroom for the kids, so the adults could get some alone time. We booked one day with a rafting company and this was a perfect place to base ourselves. Would absolutely book again.

River Roost was a great location for a family reunion. The New River is beautiful from the comfortable rocking chairs on the back deck. The driveway was large for our 3 cars and a truck!The house has a well equipped kitchen, nice coffee maker.

We live near the beach and wanted a different experience. So off to the Mountains! The river behind the house was the most perfect sound in the mornings and evenings. The stars were brighter than we have ever seen before as we sat around the fire out back. The 4 teens pretty much stayed in the basement playing games when we were not out snow tubing, mountain coastering or shopping all of the local shops. W.Jefferson was only a short 20 min drive, Boone was a 20 Min drive and all of the surrounding areas like Beech Mtn, Valle Crusis, Banner Elk were all easily accessible. There were no negatives to speak of. The house was well equipped, VERY clean and felt like home. Check is was EXTREMELY easy. And so was check out. The extra shelving in the upstairs bath was a life saver with 3 teen girls to all have a shelf for their things instead of piling it all on the counter. The outdoor furniture on the deck is high quality and very comfortable. And enough for everyone to sit and rock!!!

We had a great weekend at the property and brought our dogs with us. The front and back porch are gated so that made it super nice with the pets you could let them on the porch and didn't have to worry about them running off. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Our family of 9 came to Boone area for a Fly Fishing trip. The River Roost house was perfect. Plenty of room for all. Beautiful Setting with the river behind the property. My kids and grandkids had plenty of things to keep them busy while at the house. They enjoyed the Kayaking, they had bonfires each night with smores, they played cornhole and enjoyed the game room each night, even though some of the games needed attention to fix minor issues with them. The back porch was great having a toddler with the gates for security. My husband and I also loved sitting on the porch watching the kids enjoying their vacation. Great House!!

Easiest checkin ever! We had rain for most of our stay but there was plenty to do inside. My favorite was sitting in the glider rockers on the covered porch watching the water and wildlife. We will definitely return.

This was a great cabin. It was clean and stocked with all the cooking utensils needed. It was great sitting in the back yard listening to the river. The house was close to West Jefferson, Boone and Blowing Rock and plenty of outdoor activities. We will definitely stay here again. We have stayed at a couple different homes with Blue Ridge Rentals and will definitely book with them again. Our Bookings and stay are always easy and fun.

We enjoyed this house so much! It was spotless clean and very comfortable. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The porch furniture was very nice and we loved sitting out there listening to the river. My children were perfectly content staying at the house and playing in the game room. The house isn’t far outside of Boone and didn’t take long to get places. The roads and driveway leading up to the house were very manageable and didn’t make me nervous. My family is begging to go back this summer. Thanks for letting us borrow your home!

It was nice, clean, and the awesome downstairs game room produced hours of fun. Throw in the cool location (on a beautiful river, just a few minutes from Boone, skiing, etc.), and it's hard to beat! We hope to come back in the summer when we can put the kayaks to use too!

We were lucky enough to get snow, so they built forts and had snowball fights. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, overall the property is well cared for! We will be back!

This house was amazing! It had everything and more. We all enjoyed the place including my Australian Shepherd baby. From the bedrooms, to the game room in the basement. The whole experience was great. Waking up to that beautiful view and sound of the lake and being able to just sit outside on that deck was so peaceful. I will definitely be back and would love to experience other rentals BlueRidge has.

Our family had a great time visiting NC. The rental felt like a home away from home. It was packed with everything. My boys and hubby loved the downstairs pool table and basketball game. The wrap around deck was great to enjoy the mornings and it allowed my Aussie to enjoy the outdoors without a leash. I would definitely go back! The photos do not do this property justice. Everything was very clean, well appointed and stocked with everything we needed and more. Plenty of room for our group to spread out and gather when we wanted! River bank was a little steep and the fish were not biting but the house/property were perfect. You will find everything clearly labeled and stocked!

Plenty of room for our group to spread out and gather when we wanted! River bank was a little steep and the fish were not biting but the house/property were perfect. You will find everything clearly labeled and stocked!

We had a great time with our family. The cabin exceeded our expectations and there were plenty of activities for us to entertain while enjoying the tranquility and the sound of the water by the porch. Almost everything was very clean with the exception that one of the bed had some dog hair but nothing major that was solved immediately. We can’t wait to repeat our next vacation at this beautiful cabin. Thanks for sharing your wonderful place. 😉

Kitchen is well stocked and many amenities. Be aware that this is slightly far from Ski Resorts and such (around 40+ minutes). However, lots of things to do indoors with friends and family.
