We had another wonderful experience with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. Ms. Amy W. is the best, she is responsive, cheerful, and helpful. Walk In The Clouds was a fantastic cabin with lots of peace and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub and outside fireplace to the fullest. Well equipped and comfortable with a great front and back porch to enjoy the quiet. Very enjoyable and it was our 2nd trip to this cabin, we do plan on coming back to it. We had deer stroll by along with a very large black bear making an appearance one night. The bear was just passing through, such a majestic sight and experience for sure.

It's tucked away perfectly between Blowing Rock and Boone! If you have trouble seeing at night, I do recommend stocking up on groceries and taking advantage of the outside grill. The road in and out as basically one lane and no lights after dark.

We rarely return to the same cabin each fall, but are delighted that we returned to “Walk in the Clouds” this year. So conveniently located to everything, yet amazingly secluded for quiet relaxation. Views from the deck are not to be missed, especially when viewing from the wonderful hot tub. We appreciated the extra towels for hot tub use. The house is labeled nicely explaining how everything works. We will be back.

We stayed in Walk in the Clouds for 8 nights arriving on July 26, 2023. We absolutely loved our stay! Our two dogs Lucie and Priss were able to go, thanks to this amazing home that allows dogs! They had the best time and they loved the private lot that was fenced in. Two of our sons and their girlfriends joined us for 3 nights and we had the best time exploring the area and playing games at night. They are grown so having this time with them was extra special! The home was well equipped, it could use a few more steak knives, there were a few missing. The beds were all super comfy. We took our Alexa dot and used it for a noisemaker in the bedroom. The master bath was super nice and I loved the large closet. My only complaint about the bathroom was the lighting. Being over 50 it's nice to have good lighting to see to get ready. I'm sure they use warm lighting to make the bathroom look cozier but blue lights on the bathroom mirror would have been much better lighting to get makeup on in. We loved the hot tub and used it several times during our stay. Our favorite was the outside fireplace! In the evening it got cool enough to start a fire and we did so each night. My husband along with our fur babies Lucie and Priss give this 5 stars and we would most definitely stay here again!!

The cabin was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. It checked all our boxes; location, fenced-in area for the dogs, king bed on main floor, hot tub and covered deck with outside fireplace. Had a fantastic stay at the walk in the clouds property for my birthday/mother's day trip. Peaceful and quiet, the back deck with fireplace and hot tub are amazing. Hot tub stayed nice and hot. Plenty of hot water and reasonable water pressure inside too. Nice kitchen, had everything we needed to cook when we didn't feel like going out. Close to restaurants, great hiking, and groceries. We got to see several black bears, deer, turkey, etc on our trip. Also nice that they didn't have a big sign with the WiFi info on it. I tell my son there's no wifi at cabins so he's not on electronics when we're on vacation. Lol. Makes for a much better vacation. So this time I didn't have to hide the info before he saw it. I was glad to have a 4wd truck given the gravel access roads. Not sure a 2wd or motorcycle would make it. Over all a very nice and comfortable property for a relaxing vacation. Would definitely book here again.

A walk in the clouds was everything we could've wished for. We spent 4 days here with our 3 small kids and goldendeoodle. We loved that the rental was so accommodating. Communication before hand was SO easy. We had pretty high standards when staying somewhere and this home checked all of our boxes (Mountain Views, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, dog friendly, safe for kids). The kids had a blast in the hot tub and roasting marshmallows outside. We loved that we were able to get firewood delivered ahead of time. One thing to note: we had a bear visitor get in to the trash can the last night we were there. We did not see the bear, but woke to trash scattered all over the driveway. Not a problem for us, as we know this is common in the mountains. Just something to make note of if you choose to visit. We would definitely return. Our visit to Boone was amazing!

We had a wonderful time our Blue Ridge Mountain Rental - A Walk in the Clouds. Our hope was that we would spend a snowy long weekend in the mountains. This mountain home is beautiful and we were able to spend a long weekend relaxing. Located close to Boone and Blowing Rock we were able to explore both towns as well as schedule a fun snow tube outing at Eagles Nest in Seven Devil Hills. And to make our weekend even more special we not only surrounded by snow but it snowed our first day. Our contact touched base with us several times during our stay to make sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay great.

Idyllic and relaxing, with jaw-dropping views. We absolutely loved our stay, and would one thousand percent book A Walk in the Clouds again. The cabin is private and just the right amount removed from town. We loved having coffee by the outdoor fireplace in the afternoons, and then soaking in the hot tub at night. Everything was exceptionally clean for a dog-friendly rental, and our senior dog had the time of her life sniffing everything. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked for all cooking needs, the towels were plentiful, and we loved that there were board games and movies and books available. Overall, just an incredible stay, and we look forward to one day renting A Walk in the Clouds again.

This is a beautiful and cozy cabin which is perfect to spend time away with your partner. We enjoyed a cold day watching the mountains and reading in front of the chimney . Next day we had warmer and sunny weather and took a wonderful hike with our puppy on Bass Lake and the Maze trail, a few miles away.

I graduated from ASU and have been coming back to Boone for about 13 years now. This is hands down THE BEST place I have ever stayed. The home is impeccably maintained. There is plenty of space for a small family and dog. The home is updated and has a beautiful view. It's close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and ski areas. I never write reviews and could not stop myself from sharing how amazing this property is!

This cabin was terrific for a weekend getaway. There are lots of nearby trails to explore and then you get to come home to a gorgeous view in the hot tub! Man oh man this place is awesome. Going to be hard to ever book anywhere else when I'm in NC. Cabin is perfect if you have pets, they have a crate, a porch gate, and a new dog pin (don't think it's pictured yet). They have cornhole and sleds under the porch which make for some awesome entertainment. The Xbox and the Wii are a great addition especially if you have kids. Love this place! We were lucky to catch a winter storm and watch the flurries roll through. The porch is amazing!!! Hot tub and fireplace are so clutch in the cold. DRIVING NOTICE: 4wd and awd is recommended, we rented a car. However I wouldn't say it's completely necessary, just keep an eye on the weather. If it's not snowing bad you'll be fine in your vehicle and you might save $1000 not renting a car. As long as your car can handle a little mud and gravel. PEOPLE WITH PETS: the neighbors dog seems to be free range and not that friendly. They mainly just run up and bark but at night the large furry black figure running at us seemed like a small bear so exercise caution.

This place is incredible and the listing undersells it. The views from the back porch are stunning and the whole place is super cozy, more than the pictures could ever suggest. The fireplace is amazing, we hung out by it all weekend. The road in is narrow and windy so plan to drive slowly and if it's winter, you'll need four wheel drive. We had such a great time and totally plan to book again! It's a gem.

This property is excellent for those who want to get away from it all. We lived on the back deck, surrounded by nature, alternating between soaking in the hot tub and relaxing in the Adirondack chairs, while in the glow of the outside wood-burning fireplace. Aside from an encounter of the ursine kind on the first day (black bear in the trash cans), our stay was wonderful.

I chose this cabin specifically because the back deck is covered since the weather forecast called for rain. Still able to have a cozy fireplace, hot tub and grill in spite of some rain. Location is great many hikes nearby. We ended up driving a bit to hike to find dry weather. Seems like you could find a hike in any direction. The road up to the house is definitely steep. We only used one restaurant in Boone for take out due to Covid-19 but Boone seems like a lovely little town in other circumstances.

This cabin was perfect for our family of 4. The location was great and it made it easy to go to Boone, Blowing Rock and Beech Mountain. The cabin was decorated beautifully and loved all the little amenities - especially the toiletries in the bathrooms and the streaming programs on the TV. The patio was wonderful and even though it snowed, I went in the Hot Tub. We will definitely book again,

As an App State alumni, I like to visit the Boone area as much as possible. You become attached to the place, what can I say! These days I prefer to stay outside of town but close enough to visit a couple of times. This cabin provided just that! It is on a quiet, not too populated mountain, and has access to some great hiking trails. The cabin itself is beautiful! We enjoyed the hot tub, back porch fireplace, and the lovely master suite. It snowed the day of our arrival but we did not have an issue getting up the mountain. I would definitely recommend and hope to return!

We just returned from week long stay at the walk in the clouds over the july 4th weekend. The cabin exceeded all of our expectations and we would certainly return for another stay. The location is excellent in many respects. It is very convenient to both Boone and blowing rock as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, etc. There are many great hiking trails nearby as well as Hebron Falls. The house has a very peaceful location at the end of a road. The views during summer are good, but not amazing given trees with full foliage (i'm sure in the winter months the views are better as you are at a fairly high elevation). The house is essentially new and is a beautiful "modern" log cabin and is stocked with everything you need. There is a fenced in pen for dogs that is a great convenience if you bring pets on your holiday. The house is great for a couple looking for a quiet get away or a family holiday.

Cozy cozy cozy! Cabin is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures don’t do it justice. Has all the cabin feel with all the modern amenities you are used too. Great view from the back porch and very very quiet. You feel like you’re on top of your own mountain even though there are two neighbors close by. Hot tub and wood burning fireplace on the deck are wonderful additions. Did not want to leave. Will be back!

The cabin was everything you expect in a mountain cabin. We were all delighted. The fireplaces got a lot of use. It was a quiet neighborhood too. The suggested areas to eat in the surrounding area were right on. We were never disappointed in the yellow star suggestions. We would definitely return.

We loved this cabin the minute we stepped inside. The weather was chilly and rainy, but we didn't mind. We needed this time to heal after losing my husband's Mom. Our plans were to stay a full week, but after only 2 nights, we received a call from home telling us of another loss. My husband is the Chief of our local Fire Dept, and one of his young firefighters was killed in a tragic accident. Because of the tight bond between firefighters, we had to go home. We are hoping to return to this homey cabin in the near future...maybe this fall. Thank you.

My husband Jeff & I finally got a Mini-vacation and Arrived at this wonderful Cabin on Valentines Day. We were lucky enough to squeeze in 4 nights. The moment we arrived at the Cabin it started to sleet & snow. It was just magical. The Cabin is truly amazing. It is the cleanest Cabin we have ever arrived to. And the pictures do NOT do it justice. The Cabin is beautiful. It has plenty of room & the beds were very comfortable. The Hot Tub & Outdoor Fireplace were simply wonderful. Through a lot of issues (my health & my husband's job) we had only had 1 vacation in nearly 12 years. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The first morning we awoke to Snow. It was simply breathtaking. So we used that day to catch up on a little R & R. On Thursday it was very cold & extremely windy, but we used this day to go shopping & grab a wonderful lunch & dinner. On Friday the weather was gorgeous. Almost 60 degrees so we decided to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway & enjoy the sights and of course take plenty of pictures. We also made our way to the Linville Falls. It couldn't have been a more perfect day for taking a small hike. The falls were definitely worth our trip and we could have just stayed there the whole day. We enjoyed Dinner while we were there at Sagebrush. Great food and service. The Daniel Boone Inn one night. This is truly my most Favorite place to go in the high country. We went to The Canyon in Blowing Rock and it was the best. The view is like a picture and the burger I got was simply delicious and the fries were such a welcome relief. My husband enjoyed his dinner as much as I did mine. The service was great too. We really did not want to leave our little "Paradise", but like all good thing's they eventually end. We would like to thank the Owners of this little slice of heaven for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Cabin and making us feel very welcome. Everything is laid out for you from how to use the TV's to Hot Tub, to lists of wonderful places to shop, eat, hike, ski or just about anything you might want to do during your time there. We hope to return again to this beautiful Cabin again in the future. Stayed February 14 until we had to depart on February 18, 2017.  You all definitely get an A+ Rating from us - hands down!!! We had a great visit at your beautiful home! Our kids really enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fire place. While we were here, we went snow tubing, ice skating and went antique shopping. We also enjoyed eating at many of the local restaurants. Your home was beautifully decorated and comfortable - it felt like a home away from home. We would love to visit again one day! :)

We had a great time! We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. Very relaxing weekend. Must see Linville waterfall - It was a nice hike. The snow made it that much more magical. Places to eat: Los Arcoiris Mexican. Thanks for a wonderful time!
