The ping pong, foosball, pool table, air hockey, and hot tub kept everyone busy!
The large covered deck, sleeping areas, and bathrooms were perfect!

Cabin was very clean, cozy and well maintained. The game room was very fun and the hot tub and massage chair were great for relaxing and soothing during our stay! We also enjoyed the intense hiking trail out back. Boone is quick to get to and has lovely restaurants and stores.

Uncle John's mountain cabin was a pleasure to stay at. We have been staying at cabins in the Boone area for over 30 years And we have certain criteria when we're looking for a cabin. We like to cook in for breakfast and dinner the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals.The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Everything was clean which was greatly appreciate it. The gas fireplace it was so easy to just turn the switch And have a fire. Checking in and access to the cabin entrance was great. The game room was an added bonus and we used it every evening and then after some friendly competition we would hit the Jacuzzi we also appreciated The privacy the cabin provided another thing that is tops on our list. Thank you for letting us enjoy you're beautiful cabin it was everything you said it would be an more.

Location was very convenient to activities and restaurants while still feeling relatively secluded and quiet. There were a few grassy trails to walk, off the main road around the property. Excellent service provided by a professional and courteous staff. The house was clean and well stocked. The kitchen utensils and televisions were relatively new as were the other appliances. The wireless internet was strong throughout the property. All in all, our experience was very nice although the weather failed to cooperate. Come on Blue Ridge. You couldn't get the weather to cooperate? Seriously though, the recreational equipment in the downstairs "game room" kept my grandkids ( and their highly competitive dad) happy even with the poor weather conditions. A great experience!

5 day trip
We loved Uncle John’s Cabin. Our family of 4 was small for the place but we have been cooped up during COVID. Our kids share a bedroom at home so they loved having their own bedrooms and privacy. The location is awesome, located almost all to the top. We were very close to many attractions. We went spent our days exploring mast general, grandfather mountain then climbing course at high gravity adventures.
My husband and I celebrated our 17 year wedding anniversary @ Gamekeepers. It was $$$ but totally worth it. The drive there was amazing. Truely a romantic experience.
The only complaints was the comfort of the beds. They squeaked every time someone rolled over. All 3 beds need to be replaced. We overlooked that though since were well rested. No one used the extra bunk beds. The jacuzzi was just a hot tub. 3 people max.
Everything was very clean. There was a Keurig and a well stocked kitchen. Bring storage bags for left overs.
Overall the gaming area in basements did a great job keeping us busy. All in all a great trip. We would go back to Uncle John’s cabin but next time we need to stay longer. There were many things we wanted to explore but ran out of time.

Everything stole our hearts from the moment we walked in. All the way down to the sweet messages from our housekeeper Nicole, and the sweet little Easter Basket with candy—my kids were thrilled. The view from the porch is gorgeous. The house is very well kept, and the kitchen has far more than expected. We did not leave a single time all weekend but to go to the playground at the entrance which is so much fun. My favorite spot was by far the game room. My family, and I could've stayed down there in that room ALL DAY! I just LOVED the spacious basement. The walking trails are NOT for the faint hearted by no means, but fun! We headed from the coast for hurricane Dorian and had a beautiful stay in Boone. We rode horseback, hiked, went to Doc's Gem Mine, and had a wonderful day at Grandfather Mountain. Didn't make it to Rock Dimensions but they are some of the nicest people you will find. Definitely will start there next visit! House was perfect for the kids and dogs. Thank you so much!

It was just as advertised, clean and a great value for our mini vacation. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was not only easy to work with and friendly, they went above and beyond and QUICKLY when one of our daughters left an important medication behind, retrieving it and sending it to us quickly. We will happily rent from them again!

Clean, looks and smells new, though we knew it wasn't. The lower floor game room was popular with our teenage grandsons. The preview information gave the impression there would be golfers ruining the quiet not too far away. Actually, they were quite far away, down the winding road some distance from the cabin. Very, very quiet at night. Everything you needed was in the kitchen and the stove, fridge, microwave and coffee pot were state of the art. Plenty of very hot water. The wireless mouse would not connect with the PC and one TV had lines running through the picture. The next day they brought a new mouse as well as an HDMI cable for the TV. All fixed! Only complaint was bedside lighting in the master bedroom. The shades are black, as if for a seance. We couldn't read in bed for a few minutes as we like to do before turning off the lights. Further below it asks if we would recommend the property for older travelers. Yes, as long as you can climb steps. The lower level with two bedrooms is one flight up. There are no beds on the lowest level.

We booked a BEAUTIFUL cabin near Boone, NC this past June and absolutely loved it!! I hesitate to mention the specific cabin we rented for fear that all you Yelpers out there will read this review and go and book this hidden gem-and then WE wont be able to return! Ha!! But seriously, if you have a large family, the rental named Uncle Johns Cabin is a winner. With three floors, there is PLENTY of room for everyone. There are three bedrooms in addition to a loft that has a bunk bed. Also, every room has a large plasma flat screen TV along with large flat screen TVs in the family room/den and the game room/basement. Now, about the game room.....this was by far the BEST place for our three boys to hang out. There is a pool table, an air hockey table and a ping pong table. There is also an electronic basketball-shooting game. So cool....SO MUCH TO DO!! The wrap-around deck had us feeling like we were living in a tree house. So beautiful. We LOVED having our morning coffee out on the deck. The cabin is situated on the side of a mountain, but the views are (primarily) accessed from the hiking trail behind the cabin. The trail was a bit overgrown, but our boys made quick work of clearing it so we could access it easier without the thorn bushes. The cabin is just about 10 minutes from Boone, NC. So much to do in Boone....we did a canopy zip line tour on one of our vacation days and loved that. And incidentally we accidentally left our zip drive that had over 120 photos from our zip line canopy tour in the cabins PC computer. Once we realized we had left it behind, we contacted Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals and they were able to get the zip drive from the cabin and mailed it back to us (along with a shirt we left behind-and they laundered the shirt before shipping it!!) And I think it is worth mentioning that there is a golf course at the base of the mountain (three minute drive from cabin) if you enjoy golf. So to wrap this belated review up, the cabin and everyone at Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were great. We hope to return sometime soon so we can make more memories!!

We booked a BEAUTIFUL cabin near Boone, NC this past June and absolutely loved it!! I hesitate to mention the specific cabin we rented for fear that all you Yelpers out there will read this review and go and book this hidden gem-and then WE wont be able to return! Ha!! But seriously, if you have a large family, the rental named Uncle Johns Cabin is a winner. With three floors, there is PLENTY of room for everyone. There are three bedrooms in addition to a loft that has a bunk bed. Also, every room has a large plasma flat screen TV along with large flat screen TVs in the family room/den and the game room/basement. Now, about the game room.....this was by far the BEST place for our three boys to hang out. There is a pool table, an air hockey table and a ping pong table. There is also an electronic basketball-shooting game. So cool....SO MUCH TO DO!! The wrap-around deck had us feeling like we were living in a tree house. So beautiful. We LOVED having our morning coffee out on the deck. The cabin is situated on the side of a mountain, but the views are (primarily) accessed from the hiking trail behind the cabin. My family and I traveled from S. Carolina, Georgia and New York and held our first family reunion here the weekend of 9/5-9/8 and it was awesome!!! We thoroughly enjoyed all the cabins that were rented and their amenities. They were in close proximity so it was easy for everyone to visit each other. We definitely had a great time bonding, laughing, and making everlasting memories. One of the cabins had a leak in the bathroom sink but maintenance was contacted and fixed it without hesitation. We looked at pictures online but when we got there we were blown away. There were 6 of us (2 teens) and we just couldnt have asked for me. We practically lived down in the gameroom downstairs. I will tell you the pictures dont do this justice. It's warm and homey and super clean and stocked with everything you need. It was also easy to find and located in a great spot. We enjoyed staying here and cant wait to come again.

Went with friends to get away for the weekend and had a great time. Plenty to do with all of the games and hot tub and lots of space for us. Had a great time the whole weekend.

We wanted a place to stay in the mountains that looked like a cabin on the outside, but contained the amenities of a more modern home. Uncle Tom's Cabin exceeded our expections!!! The unfinished basement has lots games including ping pong, pool, basketball (carnival style), air hockey, and lots of board games. There are several large screen TV's throughout the house. We enjoyed the cabin so much that we only left the cabin to go snow tubing at Sugar Mountain which was about 15-20 minutes away, and to see "downtown" Boone. If you are looking for a place which is nicely appointed, has a open floorplan, and will keep you entertained while not exploring Boone or the surrounding areas, then this is a great place to go!!!
