Great location to be off the grid. Tin roof porch to listen to the rain. Great Mountain View. Only thing I would say is to not drive a large vehicle like mine. It gets tight in some spots.

Very tranquil, clean, and peaceful property. Great place to be away from the "wired" world. Definitely reccomend this place but be sure to have an accurate door code prior to arrival.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Trillium! It was welcoming, quiet, relaxing and very comfortable! Although it was too rainy and cold to enjoy the hot tub, we hope to return another time to take advantage of it! We especially appreciated the full-size refrigerator and coffee maker. We highly recommend this home for a vacation spot to “get away from everything!”

My Husband and I rented a cabin for our 15 year anniversary it was a beautiful cabin “A River Runs Through It” we enjoyed our first two days there. We watched the presidential inauguration and the Buckeys win the Championship cozy by the fire! GO BUCKS! After the game we realized the pipes froze upstairs and the water came pouring into the kitchen just a few hours later. The ladies with BMR were angels! They had us in another cabin (Trillium) just as perfect as the first cabin within 2 hours. We were so relieved with the quick responses and fast transitioning to finish our trip. The Manager came out to the cabin at 1030pm to check on us. She was so sweet and helpful. Before we eventually left to head home (3 days later) we realized they refunded some money for our troubles and they explained the homeowner was very thankful we jumped into action and shut the well pump off so there would be no further damage to the cabin. All in all we will always use Blue Mountain Rentals for all of our trips! Absolutely wonderful customer service and hospitality!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The cabin was so quaint and in a beautiful setting. We built a fire and snuggled in for the winters night. The only thing that you need to know is that the cabin in a bit more remote so be prepared. It was worth it!

We come to Trillium every year in September for our anniversary. It never disappoints. So much to do around the area, great restaurants and the cabin is very secluded. We have been staying in these cabins since 2015, and will continue to come as long as we can.

Overall we were very satisfied with the stay. The only issue we had was the hot tub had a leak, but as long as we kept it full it worked great. Also we would recommend updating some of the dishes and cook ware.

Walking into the Trillium cabin was a breath of fresh air. It was super clean and as described on the website. This place was GORGEOUS! Trillium had everything as described. The hot tub was clean and was great to sit in while it snowed. We did have a small issue as the hot tub needed to be refilled, but they came the day we called and it was filled. This was a great place to relax and the best thing was that in the cabin you could hear the stream running. I would 100 percent recommend this place to anyone!

The cabin was clean, orderly, and just the right size for a needed getaway for recharging before the holidays began. We were in proximity to lunch in Boone and shopping at Mast General in Valley Crucis, but still away to enjoy the stillness of nature.

We enjoyed our 4 days at this sweet little cabin. It was very clean. It's about 15 minutes from downtown Boone so that was convenient. The view from the back deck was awesome. The stream was gorgeous. The hot tub was nice after a long day of antiquing! The only thing I'll mention is we were on a Chevy 2500 truck and it was tight making the turn into the driveway. But we did it just fine. Next time we will take our smaller SUV. If you want a secluded, quiet cabin, this is it!

Great place to relax, really nice and clean cabin. Was closer to the dirt road than it looked in the listing and there was some traffic (may have been due to people heading to their cabins over the Labor Day holiday). I had to go the 30 mins back into Boone to fill the grill propane tank which was a bummer, but other than that, outstanding time

The property is beautiful! Set away from the roads in the woods with a stream visible behind. If you are worried about coming in Summer, don't be. The Cabin doesn't have AC but given the location we were just fine with a few fans (which are provided) and we are large people who get hot easily. The cabin had everything we needed and we can't wait to stay here again.

We had the best time staying at this charming cabin in the woods. The pictures don’t do it justice…it is absolutely beautiful and the property is totally private. Sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine looking out at the creek was the hilight of our stay. The inside of the cabin is very spacious and was immaculate! We can’t wait to come back and visit someday! Highly recommend this property!

The Cabin doesn't have AC but given the location we were just fine with a few fans (which are provided) and we are large people who get hot easily. Cabin was cozy, nicely decorated, beautiful setting, very serene and lovely. Open and spacious cabin. Hot tub was great. Sound of creek was wonderful. It was fun to sit by the creek to read or picnic. Our only complaint was the very long curvy drive every time that you went someplace. It was 15 minutes from the rental agency where you had to pick up and deliver the keys. It was even longer to hiking or other places that we visited. We would prefer a self-check-in system rather than needing to stop at an office for the keys. The check-in process, however, was quick and friendly.

Close to the road but it’s down the bank below line of sight of the road and not much traffic. Check in would be nicer if the door had key code access so you don’t have to drive to the main office. 4WD was strongly recommended but was no need for it and maybe 3-4 days per winter that it would be needed. Mattress was horrible and the only negative thing about the place. New mattress that doesn’t sag would make it perfect.

This cabin was very beautiful and private. The creek directly behind the cabin is amazing and so peaceful. Everything you can possibly need was supplied. The cabin was very clean and kept up. The only small negatives are as follows: it is a little hard to maneuver the driveway (especially in snowy/icey conditions or if you have a large vehicle) with not very much room to turn around and the fireplace absolutely would not burn the supplied wood. Management/owner immediately sought to remedy the situation as best they could by supplying additional fire starters, kindling, etc. but fire just wouldn't cooperate. I have always had a fireplace so I know how to get a roaring fire going but this little fireplace beat me! Otherwise, great place to hang out for awhile!

We stayed at the Trillium cabin for a week to celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve. The cabin was spacious for 2. The area around the cabin is amazing with the creek and the beautiful tall trees. We wanted to relax and rest and we surely did in this little piece of heaven. We needed dry firewood and Tazz, a crew member, was awesome with information on the surrounding areas and most importantly, where we could get good, fresh bread [Cove Creek]. Emily, at the office was helpful when we called for help. The owner was kind enough to stop by when we were out when we first arrived to get groceries to help fix TV that wasn't working because cables had come undone. The cabin was decorated with lights on the exterior and the BEST part was that there was a towering lit up Christmas tree upon our arrival. It made us feel like we were home. Unfortunately, we became ill while vacationing. However, we still managed to enjoy the cabin and the area around the cabin the most we could. If you walk up and down the road towards the right, you can enjoy larger mini waterfalls like the ones in the cabin's backyard creek. It was a wonderful retreat for us 2 city dwellers that always long for our romantic country escapes. Thanks to the entire staff! God bless y'all and may God continue to bless and protect Trillium!

Cabin had all you could need in remote setting, although it's a 20 minute drive to nearest town it's a beautiful ride. Area around cabin was well maintained with nice picnic area by creek. The falls at the end of road are a must see. Enjoyed time sitting on pouch rockers listening to creek and soaking in the hot tub after hiking. Spent more time than planned at cabin due to rainy weather, but couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay.

The Trillium is the perfect place to escape stress, relax, rest, and reconnect. The property is remote and surrounded by nature. One sees nothing but trees and hears only the creek water rushing over rocks. It provides absolute peace and quiet. I highly recommend this cabin. My husband & I booked Trillion for a much needed vacation, our first in years without kids. Reserving was super easy & The rental Agents were amazing at responding fast to our emails and answered all of our questions. Upon reaching The cabin it exceeded our exspectations! A true little paradise! The cabin was sanitized & clean. Plenty of extra blankets, pillows, towels & etc. Kitchen cabinets are almost overflowing with everything you may need to cook with. The patio Hot Tub & Jetted tub were so relaxing. But, not as relaxing as the creek that flows in the backyard of the property with the small little waterfalls. The fire pit & picnic table made it even better. But, Again, The wildlife surrounding this area made it even better. We sat and watched Turkeys walking through the yard. Deer drinking from the creek & woke up to bear prints in the back yard (hubby says he's not sure, I say those were definitely bear prints, but it is bear season). Everything about Trillion is perfect! Unfortunately, early into our trip my mother fell deathly ill & we had to leave early. The property manager was so understanding & credited us our lost days, even though they didn't have too. I absolutely cannot wait to go back and stay. We rent cabins every year for our family trips, this was our first trip as just us with no kids, but trillion is by far the best cabin rental property I've rented, from here to TN. I'll keep coming back to this one every chance I get!!

My husband and I had a nice stay at this cabin. It was a bit further out than we had anticipated from town however, it was a nice experience. The driveway was quite tricky so I'm not sure we would come when there is snow but summer/spring time is okay. The creek was beautiful and the hot tub was relaxing. The bed was small and bounced a bit so we had to make adjustments. The bedroom is small as well so we had to put our luggage in the main part of the house. Overall it's a cute place for a maximum of 2 guests.

Cold, quiet, secluded and comfortable, we were totally satisfied. Brought in groceries for the weekend and stoked up a fire which never went out. The gas grill convenience enabled us to enjoy fine steaks and then retire quietly to enjoy movies in front of the fire. Simply hanging out gave us a rare opportunity to escape traffic, news, phone calls and typical activities of a hectic life. A return to basics and certainly enjoy taking photos around the creek. The hot tub was perfectly prepared for our enjoyment and all of the inside amenities were meticulously arranged to maximize creature comfort. We watched 8-10 wild turkeys patiently walk by each morning and late on Saturday, a doe wandered by enjoying water from the creek. BEAUTIFUL animal. As a semi-professional photographer, I couldn't have been more pleased at the available subject matter that randomly presented itself. I have gorgeous images of the turkeys, deer and even beautiful shots of the iced-up tiny 'waterfalls' flowing endlessly by. We will be back as often as possible as this is typically our Annual Wedding Anniversary Weekend Getaway Celebration. Great people to work with and couldn't ask for more in accommodations or location. Just go!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Trillium was near perfection. Our stay was packed full of serenity, relaxation, and seclusion. We enjoyed listening to the soothing sounds of Laurel Creek while soaking in the hot tub, rocking on the porch while observing the wildlife, and sitting by the fire place in the evenings. The cabin was cozy and inviting but plenty of open space to not feel cramped. Wood is provided for the fireplace and even an axe to split off some kindling. I would recommend picking up a couple starter logs to ease the fire starting process though. There was a fire pit and picnic table by the creek to hang out there as well. Plenty of towels, kitchen utensils and gadgets, and wine glasses were available for use. The bed was comfy enough and the bathroom is fairly large. Only criticism would be the cleanliness/appearance of the interior walls and cabinets. They could use a freshen up. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we would love to revisit in the future.

Y'all this place is REMOTE. Make sure you have everything you need before you leave town to take the winding roads to Trillium. This place is perfect for a quite retreat to recharge. The creek in the back is quite loud. It is clear and swift moving. Unfortunately we were unable to have a fire by it due so much rain. The weather didn't stop us from getting into the hot tub. Freezing outside yet perfect for the hot tub. I would recommend this place to anyone! Make sure you have 4-wheel drive in the winter( and maybe even in wet weather due to mud.)

Had not seen my friend in 6 months so we met at the cabin for a few days of relaxation and fun. Spent every evening in the hot tub and then enjoying the fireplace inside. Cabin was just as pictured on line and well stocked with everything we needed.

Beautiful cabin and excellent service. Stayed for my honeymoon which originally had to be cancelled due to covid but they were super flexible and let us reschedule and it was AMAZING! Beautiful view, a little far from town, but totally worth it!

We were thrilled with this cabin, which was immaculately clean (this during the COVID outbreak) and thoughtfully provisioned. The decor was lovely, and it was obvious that the landlords truly cared about guest comfort. Even the towels were high quality; I came home and bought that brand for our home.

This cabin is absolutely lovely. You can hear the stream tumbling over the rocks below the deck and bedroom window. It's well-equipped. The kitchen is very small, but well-stocked. The bathroom is gorgeous. First-quality hot tub. I could have used a little brighter light by the sofa, and the mattress is within a year or so of needing to be replaced. All in all, outstanding place, sparkling clean.

We came here for our tenth wedding anniversary. It was a nice getaway and by our good luck, it snowed! The cabin was absolutely everything we wanted. There was dry, stacked firewood waiting by the door (and more under a tarp on the driveway.) The cabin was perfectly clean. And the sunrise is beautiful over the woods of rhododendrons. Stunning landscape with a beautiful, full creek and lots of big creek rocks. It's conveniently located between Banner Elk and Boone (and Valle Crucis). You feel like you're really removed from modern life because you drive through several small backroads to get there. And that was exactly what we wanted. It's an easy drive to Banner Elk and Sugar Mountain if you choose. But if you want to avoid everything for a few days, you can stay here and feel like you've gotten away from truly everything. We both agreed that we could be totally happy staying here for a prolonged period and never tire of it! Thank you for such a wonderful place!

My fiancé and I enjoyed our stay very much. We planned on doing several things in the area but only ended up leaving the cabin once as we very happy to spend our time together in front of the fire place or in the hot tub. Also the WiFi worked very well, which isn’t always the case in rural cabins, so we were able to connect our Roku and watch Rom Com’s all weekend. We had a nice time and would rent this cabin again.

This cabin was amazing! We had such a relaxing time. We loved the hot tub, Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. The privacy was wonderful. Sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch listening to the creek was so peaceful. It rained 2 days while we we're there, but the cabin was so nice that it didn't matter, we just stayed in and enjoyed all it had to offer. We hope to be able to stay there again in the future. One little suggestion, a little light where the steps are into the hot tub would have been good, it's really dark and you can't see them.

We had a great weekend at the Trillium. The moment we got there we checked out the creek and saw a deer peacefully drinking water roughly 40 yards away. Also, waking up and watching chipmunks run around was quite entertaining. Very quiet place and definitely a getaway from the daily routine. The drive to and from the cabin is a windy road, but has phenomenal scenery, especially around sunset. Overall, would consider it a memorable trip and would love to do it again!

This is a terrific little cabin, secluded on the banks of Laurel Creek. Convenient to Banner Elk, Boone, Valle Crucis and Watagua Lake. A great place to get away and relax. The cabin is extremely well maintained, with a covered porch with rocking chairs and a nice two person hot tub where you can relax and listen to the soothing sounds of laurel creek. A small fire pit and picnic table by the creek. A comfortable bed and nice linens made for a great nights sleep. The bathroom and kitchen have been well taken care of and are spotless. The WiFi is fast. Be aware that this cabin doesn’t have AC, but during one of the hottest weeks of August (when it was 96 or 97 in Charlotte), the cabin stayed around 73 with the windows open and ceiling fans on. The rental agency was very responsive, pleasant and helpful. Only two small suggestions: 1) helpful to have the smart TV remote to controls it’s capabilities and 2) it would be great if it were possible to access and depart the cabin with an access code or keys in a lockbox at the property rather than picking up/dropping off keys in Valle Crucis. Would rent this property again!

Excellent cabin, awesome romantic getaway for couples. Awesome creek, easily accessible with nice steps. Beautiful little cabin, nice hot tub, everything that one could ask for. The driveway is a little tricky to get into, and be ready for an additional $40 charge for insurance. But bring food so you don’t have to leave, you won’t want to leave once you get to this little piece of heaven. Awesome place, and the property manager is very easy to get in touch with. No cell coverage but there’s fast WiFi and a landline. If you have an iPhone you can still text. Can’t stress enough how great this place is for a romantic getaway!!
