The property was exactly as described. Beautiful space and perfect for our family. The bunk room is larger than pictured and the downstairs suite was great for relaxing. We had a little trouble with check in, but we called the after hours line and got in immediately. We'd love to come back!

Listing pictures and description didn't describe how nice of a home this is. Exceeded our expectations and made for a great long weekend of skiing. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking. Do drive a 4 wheel drive as recommended, if it snows the steep roads get slick.

The house was beautiful and exactly as described and pictured if not better. Snow was forecast the weekend of our arrival and we received emails in advance from Blue Ridge filling us in on travel advisories. They really made it simple with directions, gate codes and house codes. Very well run Rental Company. Would most definitely recommend and rent with again.

This home is perfect! It is decorated beautifully, pristine clean, incredibly comfortable and enjoyable for all of us ranging from 52 down to 1. We had our entire family of 7 there and had plenty of room. The bathrooms were roomy and the beds were all so very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with high end appliances and it felt like home. We will definitely be back.

Our party of 8 (4 adults & 4 kids) had a great time at the Timberwolf Lodge! The house was very clean and conveniently designed with all the appliances that you might possibly need at a vacation and even more. Two masters were comfortable for the adults and the bunk bed room was a big hit for the kids! Kids even had their own little space/living room area at the basement to play and watch movies - which was very much appreciated by the adults upstairs :) The overall property of the Lodges at Eagles Nest was amazing! It caters to everyone! Since we had little kids in our party, we were mostly hanging out at the Great Camp area. We did hiking inside the property almost everyday and tried different paths each time - even our 4 year old kept up with a 'blue' trail because it was just simply beautiful to explore alltogether. All that being said, on our last night, we even saw a bear near our trash can (which was locked) outside, which freaked all us up a bit since it was daylight and kids were playing outside right before that bear sighting. It was entertaining since we were all inside and watching from the kitchen window, but very terrifying at the same time! Overall, we will definitely be back to make new memories at the mountains!

From the kind gentleman at the front entrance to the amazing views throughout the property I could not have asked for a better weekend. The Banner Elk area is beautiful but this property is above and beyond. The house we stayed at was perfectly rustic while having every amenity you could imagine and beautifully decorated. There are two fireplaces inside and a wonderful fire pit outside if you wanted to enjoy the crisp air. The amenities on the property are wonderful for all seasons, a sports lodge, amphitheater, hiking trails, ATV trails and even a Boulder Park. I am probably missing a few things but those will be explored on our next trip up there. Banner Elk is just a few minutes away and the Banner Elk Café is a wonderful spot for lunch and/or dinner. Get away to the mountains and enjoy the beautiful scenery of nature while still having all the amenities and comforts.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of staying at this cabin with 6 friends and let me just say – it rocks! As you pull up and get your first glimpse of the place, you know you’re in for a treat – walking through the front door you at once feel both at-home but also in the lap of luxury. The tall ceilings and wrap-around deck deliver on the rustic getaway you were hoping for, while the modern kitchen and décor remind you that you don’t have to give up comfort and elegance just because you’re in the mountains. The bedrooms and bathrooms are top-notch (the master has a tub if you feel like soaking after a long hike), there’s also large living rooms with TV’s and fireplaces on both floors. With 6 guys there was plenty of space- 2 big bedrooms and a room with 4 upscale bunk beds, each big and comfortable enough for a grown man. We spent a lot of time on the deck and sitting around the fire pit staring up at the stars. A short drive up the mountain you’ll find a huge amphitheater, campground, cigar-smoking hut, rec center with sports and camping equipment, and even giant Teepees you can rent out! A further drive up and over the mountain provides incredible views as well as a Community Lodge with a TV and outdoor seating area. We also took a drive into Banner Elk and grabbed lunch – super convenient. I can see coming back here each season – especially in winter as it’s close to both Sugar and Beech Mountain. All in all I highly recommend staying here for as long as you can to enjoy this amazing cabin, surrounded by some of the most gorgeous mountains in North Carolina!
