Watching the snow fall outside while cozied up by the fire was truly magical. The cottage offered plenty of space for our family, with multiple rooms that allowed us to spread out and relax.Check-in was a breeze, and we appreciated the ample parking available. Nice house. Convenience to everything was very nice. Artsy atmosphere in and out of house is amazing! Please look at electrical outlets in upstairs bedroom with the two beds since the outlet pulls out. Recommended all outlets be looked at, since this has happened in other bedrooms, too. One plug does not work in bath by kitchen. Additional lighting is recommended. Overall, wonderful stay.

I have stayed at Suddreth Cottage before. I enjoy its older character, lovely grounds and easy walk to the middle of town. Nothing is modern in the house so if you want up to date appliances and TV/streaming entertainment - this is not the place for you. If those things are not important to you, you will likely find the cottage a charming respite

Convenience to downtown was fabulous. Place was clean and comfortable. Got a bit chilly so the fireplace came in handy. Bathrooms downstairs were a bit small. The front porch was wonderful for morning coffee or evening relaxing.

Great location for downtown Blowing Rock. The 8-track player definitely fits in with the rustic feel. The paneling, doors, and hardware reminds us of our family's cottage in Atlantic Beach. It brought back good memories while we made news ones in Blowing Rock.

The Suddreth Cottage was perfect in every way. We were in Blowing Rock for the 7th Annual Plein AIr Festival and as 3 artists, we really appreciated the home. BRMR was also very communicative and will recommend both!! The house was very clean, comfortable and an excellent location. It was walking distance to everything in downtown Blowing Rock

The Suddreth Cottage stay was a step back into yesterday, several yesterdays ago! It was "quaint, first opinion, "dark, let's open some blinds, turn up the lights", uniquely furnished, I thought ,"don't need to worry about water rings on tables as finish was old, distressed, worn paint", and there were no coasters, and of course, not needed! WELL, AFTER 10 MINUTES, I LOVED THE SUDDRETH COTTAGE!! Every modern convenience was accommodated in period hardware, as much as possible, but modern stove, micro wave, refrigerator/ice maker, EVERYTHING YOU COULD EXPECT IN A RENTAL!! Yards/flowers' interesting yard art pieces, were very interesting to view. LOCATION COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER IN RELATION TO TOWN WALKING ACCESS. Blue Ridge Rentals appropriately contacted us via message assuring us they were available for any request! None were needed cause all was perfect! Look for the Suddreth Cottage history written by the hosts and enjoy reading. I RECOMMEND SUDDRETH COTTAGE!!

The Suddreth Cottage is a special place with lots of character and a great location- you can walk to town or to Chetola. The yard is beautiful with a lovely table under a gazebo where we often had our meals. It is an ideal place for those who appreciate an historical house and are not looking for every modern convenience. That said, the Cottage has everything you need including wifi. Our family loved it there.

Loved our stay at the Cottage. We thought Main St meant business downtown but it isn’t. Our group of ladies were 74 plus so we needed to drive uptown. We enjoyed the Gazebo. Even though the house is older, we enjoyed the history and the ambiance. Created lots of memories. Would stay there again. Plenty of parking.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are well appointed. This is an historic house so the stairs creak and the screen doors slap, but that only added to the charm for us. Everything is in walking distance. Fabulous quaint cottage. Loved the decor. Work on more comfortable seats for older adults. Need to replace shower liner upstairs. Check shower stream in downstairs shower. Great location and parking. Loved the outdoor gazebo! Had a great time. We will return!

Large quiet property just a short walk from all that Downtown Blowing Rock has to offer. The house was spacious and clean and the outdoor areas were great for coffee or afternoon cocktails. Property Mgr was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Suddreth Cottage, especially being able to walk downtown for shopping and dining. We were pleasantly surprised shortly after arriving when the owner came by to check on something. She gave us a personal tour and history of the house, and pointed out her personal painting and decorating touches. Hearing her describe the restoration of the 100 year-old house was fascinating!

Best location ever! Privacy within walking distance to every thing. Beautiful cottage and gardens. Air conditioning! Washer/dryer. Artistic and interesting decor. These things are very important to us and so we loved staying here.
Improvements would be organizing the kitchen. Get some sharp knives, de clutter the drawers and cabinets, create space for cereal, bread, etc
The house is very dark. On rainy days it’s especially bad. The bath tubs are uncomfortably stained and scratchy.

The Suddreth Cottage is in an amazing location just a few steps from downtown Blowing Rock. The ability to walk anywhere in town easily is simply wonderful. Our only issue was not realizing that basic kitchen supplies (cooking oil, some basic spices, etc) were not provided. An easy fix and beyond that, we had a fantastic stay.

We had a great time in this charming house over the Halloween weekend. It is at most a 2 minute walk to the main thoroughfare of Blowing Rock. A lot of time and effort was put forth revamping this old gem of a home. We will be back!

The house was rather loud in that wooden floors will be that way. The hinges and door knobs could use some WD oil.
But you expect that in an old house. We much preferred that to a motel.

IT WAS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY! Just take a picture of the kitchen with the cabinets open so that people can see what's there to use for cooking and that will really help. We brought stuff we didn't need because it was unclear what was available there. We all had a wonderful time in the beautiful and historic atmosphere of the cottage and many relatives exclaimed how wonderful the place was for convening. The pictures of my daughter's pre-wedding moments were beautiful with all the flowers outside, and the general atmosphere of the place. We were very happy with the rustic cottage experience. Just beautiful surroundings. The convenience to downtown Blowing Rock and also to Broyhill Park (where the wedding was), was excellent.

Quant and clean little home. Beds were comfortable. Living room with fireplace is so very cozy. Easy walk to all shops and restaurants. Owners have a little book with the history of the home and furnishings which was such a nice touch. There is a lot of great history in this old home. Had everything we needed and we will look forward to coming back!

The company is professional, courteous, warm and receiving of its guests. They keep in touch with you during your stay, seeing if you need anything at all to make your stay more comfortable...The Suddreth Cottage is charming, timeless in style, with beautiful well kept grounds, long driveway, lots of privacy, and located on Main Street. The interior is quaint, lots of doors to keep guests from disturbing each other, great fireplace, front porch, and so much more. Should you be a person that appreciates history, charm and elegance, then please put this cottage on your upfront list for accommodations. I recently stayed in Blowing Rock NC at the Suddreth Cottage on Main Street. It is rented through the Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. I found the rental company to be outstanding in professionalism, courtesy, and welcoming its guests to the beautiful town of Blowing Rock. Amy was so warm and accommodating. The entire staff made you feel as if they personally knew you. Checking after your arrival at the rental to see if you needed anything at all. The Suddreth Cottage is one that I have rented over the past 18 years of staying in the village. It transport you back in time with the perfect location to town and restaurants. It is furnished as you might imagine a cottage of this time period to be. Has great arrangement for privacy, plenty of doors to close off if needed , great front porch, long driveway, beautiful grounds that are well maintained. If you are one that appreciates timeless beauty and elegance, then the Suddreth Cottage should be of choice. Was a true cabin and great location to downtown Blowing rock. Beds were really comfortable, kitchen was ready for use, Manger was helpful.

Blowing Rock is lovely and it is hard to beat being able to stroll everywhere right from the house. The house itself is charming and interesting in a quite location.
