The Retreat

It was a beautiful cabin and very clean. We enjoyed the location of the cabin, being secluded, but still accessible to restaurants and attractions. The wood burning fire place was cozy and just a wonderful place to relax.We did have an issue with the power to the hot tub, but the rental agency was quick to remedy the issue. You will definitely need a 4x4 vehicle with the gravel driveway into the cabin. We would definitely stay again.

This was the perfect set up for our family. We were in a good location to get to Sugar Mountain and Boone. We loved the hot tub, fireplace, and view. It truly provided us with a fun and relaxing vacation.

The cabin was rustic and the location was nice. The driveway is steep and needs to be paved or rocks added to it. We did not use the hot tub as there was a snake skin hanging from the gutter above it. The beds and linens also need to be upgraded. This Property is great! Very secluded/private and just a short distance from town/ski slopes. Great little water fall as you are going up the driveway.

This cabin is awesome! Everything is so nice and very clean! The views are great and the Office Staff was friendly and eager to assist in whatever we needed. We even added an extra night to our stay quickly and easily only minutes before check out!!!

We arrived on a Friday and was scheduled to check out that Monday, but we loved it a much (and we’re just a tad bit sore from skiing) that we stayed an additional night. The views were amazing! The hot tub was fabulous, and much needed after a day of skiing. It snowed the last day/night we were there making it absolutely beautiful! The drive up to the cabin isn’t that bad, but you will definitely need a 4wheel drive vehicle. The drive back down, can be rough and a bit scary even with a 4wheel drive (if there’s ice). The kids complained about 1 tv and it being upstairs. But after an hour there, they never mentioned again, and never watched it. It was a much needed and perfect getaway!

Everything was amazing. We really enjoyed our vacation and was probably my favorite trip. Perfect for a family trip, to relax and chill with my husband and children. I’m definitely will come back.

The cabin was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The view from the back deck was breathtaking. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. We will stay at the Retreat again.

we were celebrating our 35th anniversity staying at the Retreat. the place was in the middle of no where on top of a mountain. we heard goats but that was about it. Hot tub was fantastic with a great view. suggest you take some music with you. there's a CD player. place was clean and pleasantly laided out. ice maker worked but needs attention, jams up. Uber works up on top of mountain.

This is our third time renting The Retreat. It is a family favorite when we want to leave behind the fast pace of life and relax. The cabin has everything you need from cooking to reading to looking across the mountains from the hot tub. Don’t come here if you want to watch a large screen in the living area because the only television is upstairs, how refreshing! It is secluded on 11 acres and sits on the top of a beautiful ridge.
