Description
Secluded, peaceful, and surrounded by the beauty of the High Country, The Barn at Blevins Creek is a one-of-a-kind mountain retreat where rustic character meets thoughtful modern comfort. Originally a stable and carefully transformed into a beautiful home, this unique property preserves the charm of its past while offering the quality finishes and conveniences guests want in a memorable mountain getaway.
Set in the Elk Park area near Banner Elk, the home enjoys a wonderfully private setting. Its single-level design makes settling in easy, with flat, level entry at every entrance and a layout designed for relaxed mountain living.
Inside, the home offers two king bedrooms and a third queen bedroom, each with a private TV. One of the home's most inviting features is the connection between each bedroom and the outdoors—every bedroom has its own glass door leading directly outside, allowing guests to wake to fresh mountain air and easily enjoy the great outdoors.
The main living area combines warmth and comfort with the character of the original structure. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing everything from morning coffee to dinner with friends and family, while the living space provides a comfortable place to gather, relax, and enjoy time together after a day exploring the mountains.
The spacious 3-port garage has been transformed into a second gathering space, offering the comforts of being indoors while keeping you connected to the surrounding landscape. Open the garage doors and let the mountain air in while you relax in the rocking chairs, or enjoy a meal at the picnic table.
Just out the garage, a beautifully hardscaped outdoor area centers comfortable seating around a wood-burning. It's an ideal spot to gather around a fire, enjoy a quiet evening under the stars, and take in the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Just a little further out, you'll find the secluded creek frontage. Here, another inviting gathering area awaits, complete with a park-style charcoal grill, wood-burning fireplace, and picnic table. Spend the day beside the creek, cook a meal over the grill, gather around the fire, or simply enjoy the soothing sounds of the water and the feeling of having your own private corner of the mountains.
When you're ready to explore, the Banner Elk area puts you within easy reach of High Country hiking, scenic drives, local dining, seasonal attractions, and mountain activities. Then return to your own peaceful retreat, where the creek, fireplaces, seclusion, and fresh air make it easy to leave the everyday behind.
The Barn at Blevins Creek isn't simply a place to stay—it's a mountain experience. Come enjoy the character of a beautifully converted stable, the comfort of a thoughtfully updated home, and the rare combination of private creek frontage, mountain views, and inviting indoor-outdoor living.
