Enjoy all that the mountains offer at Sugars Sunset Vista.  This charming single-level log cabin is the perfect getaway for adventure, relaxation, skiing and more.  Warmth and comfort from the mountain décor and ample natural light are paired with stunning long-range mountain views. The cabin’s open layout welcomes you into a spacious kitchen, dining room, and great room, perfect for relaxing and entertaining. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, ample counter and cabinet space, and is fully stocked with all the dishes and cookware you'll need to prepare and share your favorite home-cooked meals.

The connected living room invites you to unwind with comfortable leather seating that surrounds a beautiful stone fireplace and TV.  Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening or gathering with friends and family, this space offers the perfect setting.

The primary suite is a tranquil retreat with a king-sized bed, a mounted TV, and a luxurious en suite bathroom featuring a custom tile shower and a granite vanity. The second bedroom offers a comfortable queen bed, while the third bedroom, just down the hall has a twin and a full bed, ideal for families or groups. A shared bathroom with a shower and tub combo is conveniently located between the second and third bedrooms.

Nothing will beat the fresh mountain air on deck as you sip your favorite beverage and experience the fabulous sunsets across the stunning mountain view.  Sugar’s Sunset Vista is minutes from the many wonderful restaurants and shops of Banner Elk, golf and tennis at Sugar Mountain, hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, tubing, ice skating, and so much more.  Whether you are looking for a relaxing hideaway or a home base from which to explore the mountain, this is the perfect cabin for your next mountain getaway.  

Additional Notes:
  • This home is pet friendly and only allows up to one Hypoallergenic dog of 15 Lbs or less with a pet rent of $25 per night.  Thanks for not requesting exceptions to this limit.
  • Sugar's Sunset Vista is plowed in winter but due to the elevation, 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year!
  • Returning guests to this home can receive 5% off their room rate.  Our reservations team will be happy to apply this after verifying a previous visit.
  • All linens and towels are provided at the home. 
  • The owners use a camera on the front porch and one on the back deck to ensure the home remains safe. No cameras face the inside rooms of the home.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Place is really good, only 2 things came to my attention, No bbq on place and trying to get out when snowing was a huge challenge, driving a 2025 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 and had a really hard time, I may not have experience driving on snow IDK but place it self is worth the price and the views when snowing are just stunning…

Cabin was beautiful! Clean and well kept. Up to date appliances! Lots of cooking utensil options. Bed in main room was comfy! Fireplace was cozy and easy to use. Peaceful location with stunning sunrises and sunsets. TVs had Roku for watching variety. Rocking chairs on balcony brought a real nice relaxing vibe for sunset watching. Cabin was close to small towns for purchasing needs. Fridge comes with a water purifier dispenser which was amazing!

Beautiful home, stunning views. Quiet and out of the way, just what we wanted. Beds were very comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains from the master suite. BRMR were responsive to our inquiries. The only slight drawback was getting to the home, we have a 2500 GMC, some turns were so tight it was a challenge to navigate. Would definitely return.

The four of us really enjoyed the cabin. Perfect location and the view was stellar. Really enjoyed the sunset off the deck every night. Immaculately clean and everything you need. We would definitely stay there again!

AWESOME TRIP! This cabin provides the best view in a comfortable home for our family. We always stay at this unit because of how secluded it is close to the top of the mountain, yet is still very close to the slopes. We can’t wait to go back this winter to ski!
