Skytop Chateau offers breathtaking views from a wall of windows in the great room with woodburning fireplace. Everywhere you turn you will be able to enjoy the majesty of the mountains! The house has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Two upstairs Queen bedrooms and the main level King master are all ensuites. Downstairs is a bar and game area, plus a bonus room containing 2 double beds and a pull-out sofa for additional guests, and a second woodburning fireplace. Experience the never-ending, long-range views from every window! Watch the skiers on the slopes from the kitchen window.

Need overflow space? Consider renting this and a connected 1bedoom cottage together in our listing The Summit of Beech! Both properties are connected by a rustic sky bridge that adds to the mountain lifestyle unmistakable with this property. Chalet is a nicely updated cozy one-bedroom, one bath home, sitting on a two-car oversized garage.

Skytop Chateau at The Summit of Beech is located just minutes away from Beech Mountain Resort, a popular year-round destination for all sorts of outdoor fun. In winter, enjoy world-class skiing and snowboarding; and in warmer months have fun mountain biking down the runs!

Located just a short distance from the home is the Beech Mountain Club where guests can enjoy access to Private Restaurants, Championship Golf, Professional Tennis, and a heated pool to name just a few amenities. Guest passes must be requested and paid for in advance. Additionally, the Buckeye Recreation Center and numerous trout fishing streams are located close by. Guests also enjoy quick access to historic downtown Banner Elk so you can even experience more activities including Horseback Riding, UTV tours, an Alpine Roller Coaster, White Water Rafting and Tubing Trips, Dining, Shopping, and so much more. 

IMPORTANT NOTES
- There may be additional renters staying at Chalet At Summit Of Beech during your stay. Please be respectful of their enjoyment of the property. 
- Guests have the option to purchase a temporary membership to Beech Mountain Club during their stay. Please note that the transfer of Club usage is not guaranteed and is based upon availability.  Please inquire for details.

- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Firewood may be purchased with a week's notice. You will receive two wrapped bundles and a firestarters for $25 plus tax.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains REQUIRED during winter (Nov-March) for all Beech Mountain area homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- The road leading to the home is paved, but the driveway is a 0.2-mile single-lane gravel road that is shared by two properties.
-This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-CANCELLATION POLICY: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of their creation will receive a full refund of payments. Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.

The cabin is a little on the older side and needs some updating, but it worked great for our family. The game room kept us occupied. The property was great for hiking around with the dog. We saw several deer daily. Highly recommend.

This place was absolutely beautiful, very roomy for our crew and I loved that it was private with nobody around us when we walked outside. The view was incredible and breathtaking, I could just sit and watch the mountains from sunrise to sunset. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back. I hated for our visit to end!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Skytop Chateau at the Summit of Beech. The views are amazing! The kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms were nice and clean. We enjoyed the game room as well! The hot tub was hot and ready to go for us. It snowed while we were up there and it was so nice that they had the main driveway plowed. We definitely plan to stay there again!

Our family visited Beech Mountain for the first time and with two couples and four children, we had ample space both inside and out. Waking up and having coffee on the deck overlooking the mountains is the height of relaxation. We did have an issue with the refrigerator leaking water out there f the bottom, but the management team was very responsive and promptly sent a technician out to resolve the issue. Very excited to have had the opportunity to stay here!

Skytop Chateau offered the perfect location for our annual extended family vacation. The house is accessed by a long, steep, winding driveway, which makes you feel like you're alone on top of the mountain. We had plenty of space and really enjoyed the long, clear mountaintop view with amazing sunsets. We really loved the large deck and beautiful great room. We also enjoyed Beech Mountain, nearby Banner Elk, and Grandfather Mountain as well as other daily trips to great hiking locations.

This house is at the top of a mountain ridge and secluded, perfect for soaking in the hot tub under the stars. The last few hundred yards are partly gravel and part paved though, so be mindful of driving conditions and your car’s capabilities.
The house itself is really interesting, it shows it’s age (late 90s) in some ways stylistically, but it also is well equipped with updated appliances and modern conveniences.
Both decks were nice for relaxing. The master bedroom and bath were great. The layout is perfect for multiple families.
It is well equipped with appliances, cooking accessories, baby gear, flashlights, and plenty of random things you maybe didn’t think to bring.
The hosts were responsive. For example, the propane tanks for the grill were empty, but they had new ones to us by the next day, which was a Sunday, and offered to reimburse us if we needed to go grab some ourselves sooner.
A little further from the slopes than other options, if that matters a lot to you.
