We just returned from a 5 day honeymoon stay in the NC mountains at Skylark, a cozy mountain cabin represented by Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals.
It was a wonderful experience and we plan to return in February. BRMR was with us every step of the way unobtrusively. We arrived during a snowstorm and 23 degrees, BRMR kept us apprised of the weather and checked in via text throughout
making sure everything was in order. The house is well built and nicely situated on the side of a mountain, comfortable and quiet.with cozy fireplace, modern kitchen, hot and ready hot tub, and garage large enough for our SUV. Thank you, a wonderful place and a great stay! The lighted drive was unexpected and helped when returning from an evening meal out.

We loved our stay!!! The beds were super cozy!! We loved the hot tub and used the fire pit every night to make smores! We enjoyed movie time on the leather couches with the family and enjoyed making almost all of our meals at home. The space is very open, but each room is distant to give privacy. We loved the architecture of the cabin and all the trees made for a great view! We enjoyed sitting at the Watauga River down the street and went on a 3.5 mile hike close by. We loved antique shopping close by as well as going to the Blue Ridge Pkwy for stars and enjoyed the alpine rollercoaster near by. We highly recommend this cozy get away! You will never want to get out of those cozy beds!!

Very beautiful cabin! We loved it and would stay here again. The driveway was frightening but used 4wd and made it in the snow. The top of the driveway was iced over when we arrived which made exiting our vehicle difficult.

What a fantastic long weekend in Boone / Valle Crucis / Banner Elk area with my Delta Sigma Phi fraternity brothers from NC State. I chose to stay at Skylark with 2 others and the cabin was just amazing. Super location, the house layout and furnishings were top shelf!!!! We could not have been happier! Comfy beds, very well-stocked kitchen cabinets, dishes, silverware, knives, etc.....I cooked and baked whilst visiting. Comfortable enough for 6 upstairs (as long as 2 baths are enough) and 2 in the basement studio. Porches are perfect when it rains, hot tub a plus. Lovely rental, lovely stay!

Great cabin for our holiday away. Only suggestion if you are cooking large meal it is a small oven, so plan accordingly. Very clean and comfy setting. The management company VERY responsive when we had issues. We will definitely stay again!

Had a great stay at Skylark. Property was clean and had all that we needed. Would be helpful to have a few more towels though. The pics online showed twin beds and a full bed in the loft area but what was there was a day bed with a trundle which was fine for what we needed. Everytihng was in working order and we would definately stay here again!

Absolutely loved the house. The area was gorgeous and private. Looked exactly like described, was not disappointed. There's one house visible thru the driveway, pretty close actually but it was empty when we were there so we had plenty of privacy. We had a great time. Would come back.

Great location, the Valle Crucis community is amazing. The place is beautifully cozy and well kept. Check in was super easy and there is plenty of storage. There's much to check out near by and Boone is just a short drive away. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

Great location, the Valle Crucis community is amazing. The place is beautifully cozy and well kept. Check in was super easy and there is plenty of storage. There’s much to check out near by and Boone is just a short drive away. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer.

Immaculate and cozy. Kitchen very well equipped. Hot tub perfect and a protected from the elements. We grilled every day. Very quiet and peaceful place to watch the snow fall and the deer wander through each morning. Isolated but still an easy drive to in Boone, Banner Elk, and the ski resorts.

A fantastic 10 days. This house has everything. Very comfortable and accommodating, and so nice. Serene is the word. You are easy driving distance to restaurants and attractions.

My family and I enjoyed this lovely home. It had room for everyone who came. We loved being able to bring our four legged friend with us. The decoration and furniture is lovely and comfortable! This is our second rental with y’all and we will definitely be a repeat!

This cabin was beautiful and we loved our stay -- it was conveniently located in a private area, but minutes away from the main street through Valle Crucis (where we ate at Over Yonder and visited the Mast general store). The location was also ideal for the hikes we had planned (in particular, Grandfather Mountain)... and the hot tub was a necessity after all those trails. Everything was clean, and we were surprised by how spacious the cabin was. It was beautiful. We would love to return for another trip one day!

This cabin was beautiful and we loved our stay -- it was conveniently located in a private area, but minutes away from the main street through Valle Crucis (where we ate at Over Yonder and visited the Mast general store). The location was also ideal for the hikes we had planned (in particular, Grandfather Mountain)... and the hot tub was a necessity after all those trails. Everything was clean, and we were surprised by how spacious the cabin was. It was beautiful. We would love to return for another trip one day!
