Surrounded by the natural beauty of the High Country, guests can enjoy the soothing sounds of flowing water, fresh mountain air, and a slower pace that invites you to unwind. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee on the deck or heading out for a riverside stroll, this idyllic setting provides the perfect backdrop for relaxation and reconnecting with nature.

As you step inside, the living room welcomes you with the warmth of a ceiling-high stone gas fireplace, providing a cozy ambiance for chilly evenings or creating the perfect gathering spot for friends and family. The real hardwood floors add a touch of elegance, complementing the natural surroundings that can be admired through the large windows.

The heart of this home is its fully equipped kitchen, ready for both casual and formal dining experiences. With modern appliances and ample counter space, it's a haven for those who love to cook or entertain. The kitchen area opens onto the large covered deck, inviting you to enjoy al fresco meals while soaking in the breathtaking views of Mount Jefferson and the New River in the background. When it's time to relax, the brand-new hot tub awaits on the deck, providing the perfect place to unwind and take in the serene atmosphere. Whether it's a starlit evening or a sunny afternoon, this amenity ensures that your stay is both rejuvenating and indulgent.

The seven bedrooms are thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and privacy for all guests, and multiple bathrooms ensure convenience and accessibility. With a mix of sleeping arrangements, including a spacious master suite, four queen bedrooms, and a cozy bunk room, everyone will find their perfect space to rest and recharge. Downstairs, discover an additional living space adorned with a cozy gas fireplace, a generously sized television, a ping-pong table, and a card table for added entertainment!

Escape the ordinary and experience the beauty of Jefferson from the comfort of this luxurious riverside retreat.

Ashe County Cheese - see cheese being made and enjoy delicious ice cream! (17 minutes away!)
Molly Chomper Cidery (25 minutes away!)
Ashe County Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am to 1pm from April to October!
Mount Jefferson State Park - great place for family photos. Stunning views! (20 minutes away)
Grayson Highlands State Park - 32 minutes away. Excellent hiking with scenic views, more than 5,000 feet in elevation. See wild horses! (45 minutes away!)
Old Barn Winery - Live music, food trucks, perfect atmosphere! (20 minutes away!)
Enjoy a sunny day on the New River using Zaloo's Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes. Public put-in locations are nearby, as well for those bringing their own kayaks! 

Additional Notes:
- ROBIN HOODS RETREAT OFFERS PARKING SPACE IN ITS DRIVEWAY FOR A MAXIMUM OF SIX (6) VEHICLES. PARKING IN THE ROAD OR GRASS IS PROHIBITED, AS BOTH ARE MONITORED BY THE HOA.
- EVENTS WITH VENDORS OR OTHER LARGE GATHERINGS EXCEEDING NINETEEN (19) TOTAL PEOPLE ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT THIS PROPERTY. 
- The fireplace on the covered porch is not operable. Guests may use the fire pit in the yard. Firewood for the fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Repeat guests returning to this home can receive a 5% discount, not to be stacked with other discounts. 
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. 
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This property is NOT pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home. 
- The main road leading to this home is paved, very easily accessible, and well-maintained. The driveway is gravel and 4WD/AWD may be required in winter months.
- Parking space for up to 6 vehicles 
- Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund, bookings canceled at least 31 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund. No refund permitted under 30 days.

This was an amazing weekend. We loved the views and the amenities of the house. The only issue we had is that there seemed to be an issue with the hot water upstairs and in the basement. The water would only run hot for a couple of minutes then turn cold. Other than that it was great.

We had a fabulous stay at Robin Hood Retreat. The house is absolutely beautiful! The neighborhood/grounds/landscape was perfect for our little grandloves to run around and play. The hot tub was a special treat for relaxing and ending our busy days. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with plenty of big pots and pans for our large group. The only suggestion would be to have more forks and spoons... Not a big issue, but more eating utensils would be great. The house has so much to offer. I would give this house a perfect 10! I highly recommend.

The home is really nice and has plenty of beds for a large group. It's close to the river and has a beautiful view. My only complaints would be the grill was extremely hard to get lit and early check in wasn't allowed and check out was really early at 10. Overall it's a fantastic place to spend a vacation.

The house met all our needs. We were in West Jefferson for my son's wedding. We had my other son and his wife and my two brothers and their families. Loved everything about the home. My only regret is that we were so busy, we didn't get to enjoy the beautiful views. As we were leaving, my sister-in-law said for us all to make plans to be back next year to enjoy it all.

Overall, our stay at this property was amazing. Stunning views, easy access to the river for swimming & fishing, close to town & grocery store, felt very private, tons of wildlife to watch and we practically lived on the massive porch in the rocking chairs. The house included great "start up" items and a binder full of recommendations. Double dishwashers, double fridges & large pantry were a great added touches for our large group. Very few minor critiques... First, half the outlets in the house did not work & there were several switches that did nothing & two rooms we never could get lights on in. Second, the hot water was an issue in such a large home (although maintenance was very responsive to the issue & did what they could - which was much appreciated!). Lastly (more of a tip to future renters rather than a critique) there were no blinds on most of the windows. If you have littles or are not an early riser, consider bringing travel shades. The entire family agreed we'd be back!

Such a great space for a group of friends & family. There's a little river nearby that the kids loved exploring and we flew kites. There are plenty of rooms / space. The kitchen is designed for a large group with two dish washers. We had some small issues with a leak / roof, shower and propane tank but all of the issues were resolved swiftly and with good communication.

A beautiful house right by the river! We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful, spacious house! One item to note: a few of the external doors are the type which, even when locked, pulling the handle the door unlocks itself and opens. If you have super young kids (like we did), that means the door has to be guarded at all times since there is no way to prevent them from escaping.

Beautiful mountain house overlook a beautiful river! What more can you ask for. The description and photos do not do it justice. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed. The balcony provided amazing views, the chairs were such high quality and so many of them. The house interior is great, master bed room is spectacular
