River Mill Lodge was perfect for our family of 6. We spent a lot of time on the back deck burning outdoor fires & enjoying the views. There were plenty of deer to see. The community river access was excellent for the adults & kids to experience nature. The cabin is perfectly located giving quick access to Boone or Valle Crucis. We spent some time in Banner Elk as well which is also easily accessible from this cabin. We would for sure stay here again! This is our 13th year visiting with family & is one of our favorites.

House was AMAZING! This was our 6th year of going to the mountains for a family trip and the house was by far our favorite! The views are stunning. We enjoyed watching the 2 baby deer come up to the house every morning! The house is very cozy, beds were comfortable, the hot tub was an extra bonus on those chilly nights. It snowed the last night we were there which was the perfect ending to our perfect trip!

Access was amazing. Not the usual windy steep roads. Storybook setting off the back porch. House was beautiful, and comfortable. Used the fireplace every night, as well as the hot tub. Close to Boone, hiking trails, Mast General store, etc. would highly recommend.

This place was BEAUTIFUL and exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect and conveniently close to so many things! The view and property were absolutely stunning. We had a group of 8 for a girls trip and it was a perfect comfortable fit for all of us. We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin itself was AMAZING, cozy and super clean. Beautiful bedrooms, kitchen was perfect and fully stocked as well. We had everything we needed as well as housekeeping on call for anything! At the end of the trip we didn't want to leave! This place met and exceeded my expectations with its beauty inside and out. We never came down because we didn’t need to go any where else to see mountains. You can see them from every side of the house and looking down at “my cows” enjoy their pasture playtime was so relaxing. I felt as if I was in a movie! Thanks so much!

We were very pleased with our cabin, It was absolutely beautiful, and the views were unbelievable. The outdoor fireplace was our favorite amenity. The cabin was immaculate and had everything we needed. The surrounding neighborhood was the prettiest we've ever seen. I would recommend Blue Ridge Rentals to anyone looking to vacation in the Blue Ridge mountain area. They were great to deal with.

Our family loved this house. It had everything we needed. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived right at 4. Location and views were outstanding. Short walk down to good fishing in the river. Short drive to Valle Crucis and a little farther to Grandfather Mountain trails. Make sure you bring firewood because you will definitely want to use the outdoor fireplace on the back deck. I'm sure we will be back.

The house and location was amazing, super private and in a gated community of 7 or less homes. The view of the cow pasture in the back was one of our favorite things to watch while drinking our coffee. The peach tree was full of peaches off the back, we were lucky to be able to reach 2 that were ripe. what an awesome treat! Plus there was a little bunny that came out in the morning and the evening that my son loved watching! The ping pong table and foosball proved to be helpful when we had a full day of rain, along with the hot tub, we spent a lot of time in the hot tub! Walking down to the river was also a fun activity we enjoyed! Great place, and not far from Boone. We also hiked Crab Orchard Falls and the waterfall at the end was beautiful. Great trip and we could def come back to this home again!

We had a great stay! The house was beautiful and the pictures were accurate. We even saw a little bit of snow and made use of the fireplace our entire stay! It was a 30 minute drive to Hawks Nest and very close to the Mast General Store and Candy Barrel. We absolutely loved and hope to make this a new yearly tradition!

River Mill Lodge was amazing!! Beautiful views and a beautiful house!! This house has everything you could possibly need. It has a very well stocked kitchen. We usually stay in a different area each year for our mountian trip, but we've decided that next year we will return to River Mill Lodge!

Over the last few years our family has fallen in love with the NC mountains. We are from Durham and try to get out there as often as we can. We've stayed in multiple towns and multiple homes and River Mill lodge has become our most favorite spot. If the owners ever consider putting the home on the market, we would love to be contacted. It is truly a special spot.

SPOTLESS place... and SPECTACULAR river, farm and mountain views from the huge back porch with fireplace! We just stayed five days in River Mill cabin and it could not have been better. (I am picky, too!) House had everything, the property was absolutely lovely, top quality everything, well-cared for, and soooo relaxing. You feel like you're disconnected from everything yet you're ten minutes from restaurants and shopping. PLUS...my husband said he'd never caught so many trout in his life! Thanks a million to the owners and caretakers. We WILL BE BACK for fall color!

Every year we (my family of 5) meet my parents around Boone, Banner Elk for Thanksgiving. This is the Best house we have rented! Its location and details are wonderful! We wanted a quiet get away for our 19th anniversary and boy did we get it! This was the most peaceful, beautiful place we've ever been. Everything about this home was wonderful. We were here for the first snow and it was breathtaking. Sad to leave !

Thank you for opening your home to us! My family and I take 1 week every fall and come to the mountain as a "kick off" to the cooler weather and holiday season. My children (ages 2&5) loved the bunk beds and the children's books they found in the cabinet. The cabin was the perfect backdrop to our week and a beautiful fire was the perfect ending to every day. Amazing amenities & location! We LOVED the relaxing hot tub and massages and the views are incredible! Amazing detail in kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Paradise! My family and I stayed at Rivermill Lodge for our first winter vacation in the mountains. Coming from south Florida we were concerned about the safety of driving to the cabin, but we had no problems at all. The cabin was absolutely amazing, perfectly cleaned, and visually stunning. We had planned to spend time at the ski resorts but no one wanted to leave! We loved the location of the home, right near the river, with such a lovely view.
