Red Stag Lodge at Eagles Nest

Reviewers Red Stag Lodge was spectacular!! … the design, mountain decor, game room and the surrounding beautiful woods!! Loved all the extra parking and privacy at the end of the road. Considering the HUGE size the cabin is a little short on counter/cupboard space and bar is high but our little granddaughters loved the saddle bar stools! 😀 We’ve rented from BRMR before and appreciate the great communication and love the company!!

An awesome place for groups or large families. There is so much to keep you entertained while you're there that you might not want to leave. Getting snowed in there is the best ever! We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Beautiful cabin! In a private end road! We had a large group with kiddos and all had an awesome time! One of the most magical times! Especially during New Year's Eve! Amazing community! This is a second time at Eagle Nest and we will be returning. We love the area! Management is very responsive and always helpful!

Absolutely loved our stay at Red Stag! Beautiful home with plenty of room for our family of 14. The hosts were quick to answer any questions & even gave us a heads up with an issue they found with one of the downstairs heaters before arriving. Perfect location for any ski-lovers out there with plenty of other things to do around the area!

It’s always a great time to come to Eagles Nest. This year we had the pleasure to stay at the Red Stag. There is a great kitchen and living room, beds are plentiful and comfortable, and the fire place outside is great! Some how, the chimney prevents you from smelling like smoke! Our boys had a great time hanging out in the game room and staying down stairs in the bunk room. They basically had two floors to themselves. We also tried out the hot tub and played musical chairs to check out all the jets. Certainly recommend this home to big family groups.

Unfortunately due to an unexpected water damage, we were unable to stay at this property. However, I want to note Blue Ridge Rental managing the property were fantastic in all aspects of handling the situation and and I look forward to our next rental in the future.

Communication with property management was helpful and prompt. Loved the house and the relative seclusion. I have elderly parents and teenage kids and this was a great place just to stay put and enjoy each other’s company with games and well equipped kitchen to eat in.

Thank you for sharing your home with our family. It was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed and more. Our only complaints for the week was a broken doorknob on the master bathroom door to the deck and the exterior fireplace seemed to be broken and missing the key to turn on the gas. Everything else was great. This was our 2nd stay in the area in 8 months and I’m sure we’ll be back.

Our housing was just as described and suited our family well! When we weren’t outside playing in the snow, there was plenty to do inside. Very cozy, but plenty of space to spread out too. Great spot to vacation!

Overall super awesome !!! The only tips you should know about is the water heater should be electric that way you never run out of heat water. Specially with a property where you can fit 16 people. Fix the gas on the firewood that way it should be easier light up. And last but not least, the trash outside, throw it away before renting the property if or whenever you can but when I stayed there it was super full. Other than that we had a good experience, nice view, beautiful property, short drive (15min) to sugar mountain and beach mountain, we had a good time

Very conveniently located close to downtown Banner Elk and other neighboring areas, we would highly recommend this property! The home was spacious (for our party), clean, well-stocked & well-furnished. Had all the amenities that we were looking for. Game room can be re-organized a bit to allow for more space for some of the games such as pool and ping-pong. Hot tub was a huge bonus! Great location within Eagles Nest with access to all its amenities. We really enjoyed the concert in the evening at the Grand Amphitheater. Fantastic visit, all in all, and will recommend to family & friends!

We stayed at the Red Stag cabin in Banner Elk and it was absolutely beautiful!!! The cabin views were amazing and everyone enjoyed their time and memories made.

BEAUTIFUL house!!!! Stocked with everything you could need - never seen a rental kitchen with everything you could ask for. Eagle Nest is an awesome area and we could walk to the play areas. Perfect for kids! And we saw a bear one morning! All in all a perfect location for our perfect trip!

With four SUV trunks filled to the brim and the seats filled with grandparents, children, grand children and family dogs we arrived at Red Stag Lodge with high hopes for a special family Thanksgiving and we left a week later knowing that is just what we had experienced! Superlatives are well deserved for this property, the folks at Eagles Nest, the rental folks, and even the cleaning crew. We enjoyed our time at the Lodge immensely and the amenities of Eagles Nest even more! We highly recommend this property for those discerning families who want rustic luxury, outstanding outdoor opportunities, and a quaint location to enjoy family and make marvelous memories!

The home is spacious, modern, and well-equipped. Labels denote which light switches go with which lights which is quite helpful. The rec room was very large with a nice pool table and ping pong table. I would consider moving the pool table so there's room to make all shots, but a short cue was provided to help with this. Not ideal but was ok. The Great Room's TV worked well and had a beautiful fireplace. The kitchen was of adequate size and was very nice. We did not use the gas grill but there was one available. The gas igniter in the fireplace was very useful. There was a problem with the dishwasher but hopefully that has been rectified. Some things are just personal preference, and I know you don't get to design a home just for a short rental; however, I thought I might mention a few things. The Master shower is a pre-fab enclosed unit for steam. If you are over 6' (I am 6'5") it is small and slightly claustrophobic. Not much room to move around in there. For large, beautiful fireplaces (Great Room, Outdoor deck) the grates are way too small and need replacing. This makes it difficult to start and maintain a fire, especially when all the wood is green as was the wood when we were there. The noise from the main road below was bothersome as we usu prefer a home more isolated from a busy road and at a higher elevation for the view. With multiple beds on multiple floors, a second kitchen downstairs, and lots of room, this home would be great for a large family get together. Also, the carport will come in handy during inclement weather. We had absolutely no problem with the keys, lockbox code, and there were detailed instructions for everything in a binder in the kitchen. The Eagles Nest Community is very safe, is well kept, and offers a lot without having to leave the gates.

Hi, We enjoyed our stay at the Red Stag Lodge so much. The house was beautiful and the view was amazing. Eagles Nest is an incredible property. We can't wait to come back again and we will definitely give it rave review. The only thing I could think of that was missing was a set of darts to use with the dart board. No big deal though.
