Wonderful stay at Peace of Mind from Blue Ridge Rentals. The property was exactly as listed and we enjoyed our stay. We had family come stay with us and enjoyed each having their own en-suite bath as well as sitting area. The game table was an added bonus to keep kids entertained. The kitchen was very well equipped and we cooked breakfasts and dinners there many days. We would have loved to enjoy the outdoor decks but the weather was cold, as we expected for late November. The house is located in Fox Hound and it was hilly walking with the dog but we enjoyed our hikes. Would stay there again.

Beautiful custom home with a fantastic kitchen - high end appliances and lighting throughout. Drive up to the house is windy and steep, but that's how it works to get the view and be in the tree tops. Porches are lovely to take in the views and see deer. Only thing I would note is that the address was different on the listing map than what it actually is, and we had to delay our check in because they had a gentleman blowing leaves and taking trash and we couldn't access the driveway after the 4 pm check in. If I were to say anything needed changing, it would be the lighting in the bottom floor bathrooms. It is way too bright and cool of a color temperature - could either use a dimmer or less wattage on the bulbs. All in all, a great rental - felt safe and it was extremely clean.

Peace of Mind at Hound Ears was an excellent house and centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Linville and Blowing Rock.. Being a private gated community, it provides an extra level of security for out visits. The house was well appointed and appeared to be recently renovated. It is warm and comfortable along with all the amenities and games if you stay in for a rainy day. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area.

Peace of Mind is a beautiful house and an excellent match for my family's needs. We had three couples and everyone had a bedroom with an attached bathroom, which made getting ready for graduation at App State so much easier.

The location worked out so well. We wanted to spend extra time prior to an App State admissions tour and this was close to so many trails, antiquing and King Street. We loved sitting on the deck in the mornings. You can't go wrong with this house.

We had a great time staying for new years with our friends and dogs! The house is lovely and comfortable and so cozy for the cold weather! The yard is slightly tough for taking the dogs out to use the bathroom but despite the steep hills, the neighborhood is easily walkable.

They had their own space downstairs where they could hang out and all be close together. The house is in a gated community golf community so it was quiet and secure, and you are less than 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Boone. The rental company provided so much information ahead of the trip so I felt adequately prepared, and they were very responsive to my emails when I had questions.

Peace of Mind was a very nice place to stay. The house was updated, clean and spacious. Perfect for 6 to 10 guests. The gourmet kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood was beautiful. Bring some extra blankets for the bedding if you are cold natured. The house is 20 minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock. We would diffidently stay here again.

My husband's dad hasn't been back to the mountains in 20+ years, so to have all of us together in the mountains were absolutely beautiful. The cabin was exactly how it was listed and having the name Peace of Mind is exactly what we experience. Very peaceful and a beautiful place. It wasn't too high up for our mother, even though she wouldn't look down. Our mom is more of a beach person but wanted to come because she knows how much our dad loves the mountains. But the look and excitement on our dad's face is truly something that we will treasure forever. We truly did enjoy everything and our parents took a lot of pictures. At one point we didn't understand why there was no TV in the room where the kitchen is located but quickly found out the reason. That room gave us a time to reflect back as well as look forward to the future, it gave us the time we needed as a family to really be connected to one another through conversation. Thank you again for allowing our family to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Beautiful large home with 3 separate bedrooms with bathrooms. Very clean. Excellent kitchen. Maybe add a few more coffee mugs. Only 3 that were bigger than tea cups.

Perfect layout for our family. Spacious kitchen and comfortable beds. Our dog enjoyed the ability to hang out with us all week and enjoyed the daily walks around this beautiful neighborhood. Great location. The only complaint is housekeeping arrived a day early and just took us by surprise. Overall great place to stay and enjoyed time away from our normal day-to-day.

Excellent experience using BRMR! From reservation forward, always clear communication. Kept us up to date on everything. Directions easy to follow and the house was amazing! THey even checked in with us on Day 2 to see if all was well and if we needed anything. Will not hesitate to use them again and again!!

This was a great property overall. Loved that we all had our own bathrooms. The older adults had the upstairs bed and bathroom, while my husband , I and our kids had the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. Loved the double sided fireplace, you can watch tv on one side and on the other have a quiet spot to read or relax. The heat was a little tricky since there’s only one thermostat for the whole house, hard to find a happy medium between upstairs and downstairs. There were quite a few things broken inside the house, garbage disposal in the kitchen island sink, top of fridge accent piece was loose and paper towel holder needs to be replaced. The instructions for the garbage and recycling were a little confusing, manual inside the house said no recycling however there were other instructions inside stating there was. When we arrived there was garbage already in the outside bin therefore it was full with ours and we had to leave a small bag inside along with recyclables. There was some rot on the wooden railing outside the front door and it looks as though the light post was damaged , not a huge deal to us but I wouldn’t want someone to get hurt. The kitchen towels and bath towels were pretty sparse, a few more would be good. The stove and kitchen overall was amazing ! We cooked many meals ! We ventured out to the top of the hill and discovered a nice area with picnic tables and rocks to explore with a great view !! The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We would certainly stay again.

We Enjoyed our stay at Peace Of Mind. We attended my daughter’s graduation from ASU. We wanted a property that allowed for family to gather for a large family dinner. Very nice property. Kitchen was well equipped with serving pieces as well as plates and bowls. There do seem to be a few pieces of silverware missing. The house was clean and well maintained. As it was cold we brought extra blankets just in case and we ended up using them. My elderly parents ages 91 and 84 were able to stay on the main floor. The master bedroom has step down from the main house in to the bedroom and a step up from bathroom to toilet area. So not great for the limited mobility but we were able to work with it. Enjoyed the fireplace. Lovely stay and hope we can come back for another visit.

Peace of Mind is a hidden gem in the gated community of Hound Ears. A lovely mountain home that has clearly been renovated throughout the bedrooms, baths, and especially the kitchen. Nicely appointed home with all the essentials for a family vacation. It was nice for our grown children to each have their own private baths in the downstairs bedrooms. Great retreat for exercise. We enjoyed the hilly walks. The house is as comfortable as it is beautiful and the kitchen outstanding. I would recommend and return.

Warm, cozy cottage and wonderfully located to many activities. Hound Ears is private, safe and very quiet. BRR was exceptional to work with. Looking forward to a return visit.

The neighborhood is beautiful and well maintained. The house is beautifully set up with good kitchen utensils & appliances. The property itself could be cleaner, esp the porch. We could have enjoyed sitting on the porch more if the furniture were better maintained. The blankets in the two bedrooms appeared dirty. Other than that the rest are clean. Could use more garbage bags and kitchen towels. I think an animal was able to get to the garbage can outside even when we placed the garbage bags as instructed. Sorry about this. Thank you for sharing the house. Definitely will still recommend your place & will consider it again if we go back to Boone.

This is a wonderful home. Very upscale. The kitchen is fabulous. Hound Ears is really top notch. There is even a nice dog park on the grounds. Very nice gate guards, too.

Our stay at Peace Of Mind exceeded our expectatations! Over the past 15 years we have stayed in some nice places across the state of NC, but Peace Of Mind has been the best thus far. We felt safe and secure being in this gated community. The security personnel were great and we stopped several times to chat with them. The accommodations has set a new standard for us!

Great area, close to Boone and ASU. Beautiful neighborhood. Beautiful home, loved the open concept of the kitchen, living area. Kitchen is beautiful and so functional- easy to get spoiled in this area. Appreciated the separate den area downstairs. With college age kids, would love the addition of a fire pit or hot tub at this property.

We drove thirteen hours to get here from Miami FL and it was worth it to enjoy the splendor of winter! We went sledding behind the house, tubing, ice skating and snowboarding at sugar. We enjoyed the cabin so much that we ate all of our meals and spent our downtime here. The small town of Boone and ‘Peace of Mind’ gave us so many beautiful memories that will forever be treasured. We can’t wait to come back!
