I cannot say enough about how beautiful this property is! The modern design and amenities, the extraordinary views, the proximity to all the best towns along the Blue Ridge Pkwy… it was a dream! We were there as the leaves were starting to turn for Fall. Close to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, and accessible to Boone. I highly recommend Owl’s Nest for friend and family gatherings.

We have had what I can only call an exquisite stay at Owl's Nest. Everybody, all 6 of us, and our dog, absolutely loved the house. It was perfectly appointed, beautifully decorated. The view from the deck, where I am presently sitting and writing is nothing short of spectacular. A lot of superlatives, but that is how I am feeling after this week. What a gorgeous home. We've had so much fun, ate like kings, most nights on the deck, played board games, did a huge LEGO, and a smaller one, created synthesizer music, played guitar, did watercolors, iPad paintings, played pool, the kids used the hot tub, we watched fireworks, and just hung out. Many hikes were taken in nearby places. I am told they were awesome. Thank you, thank you, Blue Mountain Rentals and host.

Perfect location between Blowing Rock and Banner Elk, you'll be about 30 minutes away from either. The cabin itself was very, very clean. It had a great layout, a great view, and we enjoyed the outside fireplace.

Overall cleanliness was fine, although we couldn’t check in early because of maintenance. “Maintenance” being done although the upstairs fan remote in the bedroom did not work, nor did the one down stairs. Dead mouse laying on the bricks at the outside seating area and fire place. Refrigerator would not keep cold hardly at all.

What a way to kick off being 30! The deck was my favorite place- I must have spent all day and evening sitting on the couch by the deck watching the moonrise. The kitchen was fantastic to cook in and had just what we needed. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

The house is great for families. Super pet friendly and a beautiful view. I find when we rent many homes in the mountains they are not as clean as I would like and this one was very clean and very organized. The biggest downfall to me was the drive to town and things to do. It's down a very winding road and may only be 10 miles but takes about 25 minutes to Blowing Rock. Overall great stay !

We had a wonderful time having a girls weekend here. Very chilly but we were happy to still get use out of the hot tub. The driveway is very steep and the road overall was well maintained and clear. The showers had some stuff on the ground and the drain in one was very clogged. We also had to hunt to find hand soaps for some of the bathrooms. Other than that we had a great time. The kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed. When the weather is clear, the view can't be beat!

You will not regret booking this house! It was the perfect location for our first family vacation in 10 years. It was cozy, spacious, and comfortable. The amenities like the pool table, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, and fenced in area for our dogs were perfect. We loved the views from the covered porch - truly spectacular. Highly recommend and will definitely book again! Traveler tip: if you get motion sickness, definitely bring medication with you! The windy roads were a little rough but it was worth it.

Beautiful cabin, perfect for a large family. Gorgeous views, indoor and outdoor fireplace and great layout. Distance quite far from towns and things to do and very narrow winding roads. Management t company was very responsive. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the hot tub (needed service) and the master bathroom was freezing unless you ran the heater fan ahead of time.

The place was great. The sunrise view in the morning was picturesque. We took a lot of instagram photos with it. The place had everything that you need (plates, hot tub towels, regular, towels, wine glasses, silver ware, linens). My family decided to just stay in the cabin for a day to enjoy it more. The kids (and the adults) enjoyed the board games in the living room. We made soup in the kitchen, burgers from the grill and s'mores from the fireplace outside on our last day. The night before, we had steak for dinner then we hanged out in the hot tub while snow fell outside. The place was a sanctuary after long days of skiing, hiking and snow tubing.
I highly recommend getting a 4wd. The mile long private road that leads to this place can get really snowy. The road don't get a lot of traffic. Our truck was fine, however, the other car from our party would occasionally slide down the road (very scary). We also saw a truck on our way out struggling to drive up the road. I still wonder if they made it out.

The Owl's Nest was a perfect family retreat. The views and all the amenities were just what we needed for a peaceful, joyous stay. The deck offers incredible views at all times of day. The house was sparkling clean and the picture windows of the mountains, made leaving the home hard. There was so much to do in the surrounding areas, tubing, hiking, the caverns. I could have stayed an extra week and that rarely happens.

The house was truly spectacular and the view was amazing! Had everything you could need for a weekend getaway. As previous reviewers may have said, the house could have been cleaned more meticulously. Lots of dust on top of certain surfaces that were obviously overlooked and under the beds. Wifi did not work and tv in the master bedroom did not work. However, despite these things I would still give this location an absolute 5 stars and would not hesitate to go back. It was truly a wonderful location for our family getaway.

We stayed the week between Christmas and new years 2019. House is as described. Cool hiking right outside the house. Kitchen was well stocked, I do recommend bringing a few things if you plan to do a lot of cooking at home during your stay, ie: Good non stick skillet, eggs and such, a big pot, homemade soup and such. The real wood fireplace is an absolute must for us. there was plenty of fire wood. Almost all of these type of cabin rentals recommend 4 wheel drive in the winter, This one is an absolute must if you think it will ice or snow during your stay. I recommend Owl's Nest.

Beautiful space. Most amazing sunrises each morning. We had an issue with gps working in the mountains so make sure to screen shot or print directions prior. Also recommend 4 wheel drive because the driveway alone is pretty steep. Pricey, but worth it. WiFi worked but not well due to the location- not a problem for most of us because it’s nice to unplug while for awhile but some family members needed to work remotely and that was an issue. Overall great place we enjoyed a lot.

My 16 year old niece penned a nice note before leaving, so maybe she says it best: "Wow is all our family has to say about this place. It truly is magical! The best memories that will be engraved in our minds forever, will be the sunrises on the top deck. It's hard to explain why, but to be able to sit and stare at the landscape in front of you is amazing, and to see and hear the birds chirping and flying by is a testament to life here in the mountains. Everything about the house was absolutely perfect and supreme, the only issue is that we had to leave. It was a perfect get away for family, and I wish we could have stayed longer. This place truly is a treasure." From an adult perspective I'd agree completely. Great location, maybe 20 min to downtown Blowing Rock and 20 min to Grandfather Mountain. The views are spectacular from sunrise and beyond sunset, with lots of space on either deck to take it all in. The neighborhood is peaceful, the setting relaxing. The house itself is clean, comfortable and spacious, and perfectly laid out. i.e. plenty of space for adults and plenty of space for kids, but plenty of space for all of us to be together as well! I couldn't have asked for a better set up in any way. We look forward to returning one day soon for a longer visit!

OWLS NEST CABIN, BLUE RIDGE RENTALS. We stayed in this cabin for 10 days. The cabin was perfect. We were a family of 5 with a dog. The driveway is a little challenging but if people from Florida in a rental mini van can figure it out.... anyone can. There is a cabin directly next to it, but they were the nicest people. Great neighbors! Great neighborhood. The bedrooms were just right. The bathrooms were stunning. The upper back porch, with a fire going and taking in the views was the best part about the cabin. You only need to come with your clothes and buy food and you are set. My kids had so much fun picking wild blackberries while out playing. Really close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and 20 minutes from Downtown Blowing Rock, a family friendly old school small town with such charm. We would stay there again and again.

Our entire family of 11 (our two daughters, son-in-laws, 4 grandchildren ages 1-6), my 88 year old mother and 2 dogs) stayed at Owl's Nest for a week of great fun in the Blue Ridge Mountains! The home was beautifully designed with an awesome view of the mountains. We had some challenges upon arrival with the electronic lock not working, but soon got a new code with the on-call maintenance representative. The cleanliness of the cabin was fair as there was dog hair on and under the furnishings. The parking area is steep and difficult to fit 3 vehicles. The family room and dining room furniture were limited and not comfortable for 11 individuals. Also there is another house very close on one side, which was unexpected. Otherwise, the cabin was great for our family. We had a phenomenal time exploring the parkway, Linville Falls/Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, Boone, Blowing Rick, Gem Mining, Grandfather Mountain, Ashe Cheese Factory and more! The deck with a fireplace was perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the exquisite view with a glass of wine. Loved having 3 private living spaces, washer/dryer, playroom, large covered/uncovered deck, open main level, spacious modern bathrooms, and proximity to numerous activities. We would definitely consider another stay at the Owl's Nest. Highly recommend this beautiful home!

Everything about Owl's Nest was outstanding! We had such great communication with Micki before we even stayed. The house was absolutely beautiful and the views were spectacular!! We had a minor hiccup with the rental when we checked in and I called after hours and Dillon jumped right on it to make our stay exactly what we expected. It's easy to like a company when everything goes smoothly but really shows the integrity of a company with how they handle things gone wrong. The "problem" was rectified immediately and we could not be happier. My husband and I rent a vacation home twice a year and while this was our first with BRMR, it will absolutely not be our last!!!

As far as comforts, every little detail was thought of. It poured rain our entire stay and STILL the views were just breathtaking. We hated that we could not take advantage of the decks as it poured rain our entire stay. Just 2 small complaints - the description advertised that there was a Wii at the property. We had 5 boys with us who were looking forward to that. The Wii did not exist. Second complaint was that there was no heat in the master bedroom/bathroom and we were there in 30s/40s temps so that wasn't very pleasant, although the bed itself was most comfortable and cozy! OVERALL - we WILL be back!

I cannot recommend Owl's Nest enough. It is newly built with great attention to detail, from furnishings to fixtures. With an upscale "rustic chic" style, I found it both comfortable and classy. I loved the sliding barn door to the master bedroom on the first floor that matches the accent wall. With 3 floors, there was plenty of room and the kids' space on the lower level (with wii) was a great addition. However, the best part about Owl's Nest is the spectacular view of the mountains and Blowing Rock. I could have sat out there all day talking with my friends or just watching the weather systems flow through. Simply stunning at any time of the day! My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.
