The house was built with the finest quality and attention to detail. It was a joy to stay in this home!!! The management company was responsive via phone, but we found a frying pan coated with burn on eggs... dust balls under the beds, (very minor issues) but we came to stay for Christmas... and there were still halloween decorations up. They had a fake tree (I think in the garage?), but didn't bother to put it up. :( We stayed for 9 days during the holidays and there were no decorations. A slight disappointment considering how much we paid. We were also told the hot tub and one of the large games (air hockey?) were not available the day before we arrived. My husband hiked 40 miles on the AT while we were there, so the hot tub was a major reason we booked this location. I don't blame the owners... but the management company should pay closer attention to detail when they are getting paid a lot of money based on our rental price!FYI. I hope the owner sees this! This is a beautiful home with wonderful views, a convenient location to Banner Elk and is as described by BRMR.
The Bedrooms with large full baths offer privacy for several couples or large families while common areas provide viewing and dining for everyone.
Kitchen has everything for a quick snack to a gourmet meal for an entire family.
The home was spotless!
The gated community is hilly but a huge common area at the entrance offers play area for children and walking for others
You won't be disappointed by this home.
Having rented thru Blue Ridge in the past this is a first class company with excellent customer service.

Recently enjoyed our stay at the Overlook Estate, a beautiful property just outside of downtown Banner Elk. Plenty of room with wonderful amenities which our crew of fly fishermen enjoyed immensely whether it was the well appointed game room, the perfectly equipped kitchen or the deck and its gorgeous fireplace. This cabin was was such a treat to stay in! We knew it was a beautiful place and location from the pictures, but we’re still blown away upon arrival! We wanted a space where we could spread out and have our seperate areas. We had 8 adults(4 couples) plus 4 kids, ages 1,2,6 & 7! My girls stayed in the bunk beds, they aren’t really pictured, but they loved it! The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need, this was great for us, as we planned to do lots of cooking while there. The outdoor deck area with the fireplace was also a great area to hang out and enjoy the views. You are tucked up in the mountains, but also close to amenities.
The cabin was very clean and we were provided with lots of towels and extra blankets. I would say the only one thing we were bummed about was not having access to the fridge in the laundry room. We had to keep all our beverages outside to keep them cold. The kitchen fridge was full of our food for the week. Not a huge deal, as it was cooler out.
This is the first time I’ve stayed somewhere where the rental service checked in to make sure we were doing okay. Questions were answered right away and we didn’t have any issues during our stay! We will definitely keep this place and Blue Ridge Rentals in mind for future vacations.

We do an annual trip for my husbands birthday. 10 adults. It's tough to find a place that suits us perfectly. This home is it! The bedrooms are spaced far enough you feel comfy in your own space and the gathering places such as kitchen and family and game rooms are large enough to accommodate. The TV's worked great too as we had sports events on almost all of them. The kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you need. Stores are close by as well so the location is convenient yet you feel the beauty of the scenery around you. The hot tub was a hit on the huge outside deck. And the decor is spot on. You just couldn't ask for a better place to spend a long weekend with friends.

What an AMAZING house!! It is extremely spacious with plenty of rooms, bathrooms and activities for all! We all enjoyed playing pool, foosball, air hockey and pac-man. The outdoor hot tub was a hit along with the outdoor wood fireplace & grill. There’s wrap around porches all over the house giving a beautiful view towards the mountains. We also saw tons of deer on the back hill. Our group had an amazing time and would go back in a heartbeat! This location is so close to downtown Banner Elk (food, bar, grocery stores, etc.). As a warning, the gated neighborhood and especially the house driveway is extremely long & steep! Please be aware during winter months.

We have stayed in the Banner Elk area for a month during the past five years. We have used several rental property agencies during that time, but Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was the very best in service and attention to detail. We had a most awesome stay at Overlook estate! The cabin is spacious and gorgeous. There was plenty of room for everyone and lots to keep us busy.The cabin is just beautiful down to every last detail. The views from the decks are amazing and we enjoyed watching the 4th of July fireworks.

Beautiful property with the most amazing views from all over the house! The home is just gorgeous, but the view is spectacular! We loved the fireplace and hot tub on the balcony overlooking the mountain view. The home is secluded yet within perfect distance to local grocery stores and gas stations.

Beautiful, huge home. Loved the open spaces, flooring, and wonderful baths. Our extended family used the home as as hub for cycling and hiking. We enjoyed using the pool table and hot tub in the evening.

This house was fantastic for our long weekend. We had 4 families and tons of space for everyone without feeling like we were on top of each other. The wood burning fireplaces, inside and out, were fantastic and well used. The pool table was one of the favorite kid hangouts. Thanks, much appreciated.

We had the most amazing time at Overlook Estate in Banner Elk, NC! It was such a stunning, gorgeous home with the most breathtaking views. It was clean and fit our large family's needs perfectly space wise. We all loved the pool table and hot tub, not to mention the beautiful fireplaces that we used everyday. It was the perfect mountain getaway for South Floridians! The only thing we would have enjoyed more is if we got sow! Thank you for everything! We all want to come back to this same cabin one day soon!!

Could not have stayed at a better place. From the comfort of the house to the views, it was a wonderful experience. For 14 years a group of high school buddies have been coming to Banner Elk to play golf at Sugar Mountain. And while we have stayed at some nice places, NONE can hold a candle to Overlook Estate. We will be reserving it for next year!
