On the Rocks

Everything about On The Rocks was perfect! Amazing house, comfortable beds, lots of cookware - things like salt/pepper that you normally wouldn’t bring - it all was provided. Also the beds were very comfortable! The master bath tub was a DREAM! Will definitely be back again.

This is our second time back to "on the rocks" and it's becoming a tradition. We love the dining and social options in Banner Elk/Grandfather/Valle Crusis. It's a perfect weekend away!

Our family of four stayed for a long ski weekend and would go back in a heartbeat! The home is new, tastefully decorated, great open floor plan, 10 minutes from Sugar Mountain skiing, and with stunning views.

This is great property. GPS stops about 2 mins from the house so locating if unfamiliar with area could be small issue. Otherwise non factor. House was gorgeous with wonderful views. We had three couples and three kids under 5. The living space is huge and welcoming. Easy to let the kids sit in the floor and adults enjoy the fire. The only downsides of this house are there following. 1)Water pressure is super super low. Making showers/bath time for kids and dishwashing somewhat challenging. 2) many outlets i master did not work. Making phone charging, kids noise machines, and other accessories tough to charge and use. 3) The beds and bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. I think some upgrades in pillows and mattress toppers could help. We stayed during and extremely cold snowy weekend which was exactly what we wanted and expected but found one last issue. 3)The master suite is freezing and the heating blankets do not work. Not a huge issue for just adults, but we had our 1 yr old sleeping in a pack and play and he did not sleep well both nights. Luckily we had a small heating pad we would place under his sleep are to provide more warmth. Both nights we did not sleep because he kept waking up hourly cold and ending up sleeping in the bad with us. THe HVAC could due for some maintenance since we adjusted the heat and expected the master to warm, it only made our other guests super super hot at night and didn’t warm up the master at all. It’s about 10-15 degrees cooler than the rest of the house. This property is not a budget property, so these small HVAC issues and electrical issue would go a long way for making this property continue to be a rental star. All and all, we enjoyed the house. It’s super welcoming and spacious. Great set up for adult guests, great play room in garage, loved the fire. We will likely return but hope the HVAC and small electrical issues can be adjusted.

On the Rocks was a fantastic home! A perfect stay- incredible views, immaculate home, plenty of space for our family of 5, well-stocked kitchen. Nice to be in a neighborhood, and still have the feeling that we had the mountain all to ourselves. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was a pleasure to deal with. On the Rocks was an unbelievably beautiful, clean, and new house. We loved it so much we didn't want to ever leave. The view was incredible and the sunsets breathtaking. The house was very cleaned and well stocked when we arrived. I would recommend Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for sure.

One of the cleanest and newest cabin I have ever seen. All the furniture and kitchen equipment are brand new. The view was fantastic. We spent couple of hours outside by the fire place every day. They turned the garage to a game room with a ping pong tables, video games, board games and etc. If you have kids, they wont leave the game room. I wish the cabin has a hot tub. That would have been awesome.
