Description
This warm and welcoming Appalachian Ski Mountain home is the perfect starting point for your next High Country adventure! With four bedrooms, three levels, two decks, a hot tub, and a game room featuring foosball and an arcade, there's something for everyone to enjoy. 
 

Nuttin’ Better has 3 bedrooms, and one additional private sleeping area.

Main Level: Master Bedroom

Upper Level: Two Queen Bedrooms

Lower Level: Additional Sleeping Area with Two Twin Beds


The main level has just one step onto the covered deck and one step into the house. You'll walk into a welcoming main room, with a cozy arrangement of furniture facing the gas fireplace and a big Smart TV with Roku streaming devices. There's a dining table for 4, and room for 2 more at the kitchen counter peninsula. The kitchen is smartly laid out and offers everything you'd need to prepare tasty meals for the entire group. 

There's lots of fun to be had in the downstairs entertainment room! Another set of couches and a big Smart TV are down here, along with a foosball table and a multi-game arcade machine just waiting for friendly competition! Step outside on the covered deck and enjoy a soothing soak in the new hot tub. 

Time for bed? Nuttin' Better has four sleeping areas. The main level offers a King master suite with a private bathroom. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, each with a Queen bed. And downstairs, off the game room, is a bonus area with two twin beds. 

Walk to the entrance of Appalachian Ski Mountain! The cabin is located on the mountain between Boone and Blowing Rock, just ten minutes into either town for delicious dining and unique shopping options. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 5 minutes away, as well. Nuttin' Better is the perfect home base for your next adventures! 

 

IMPORTANT DETAILS: 
- The fourth sleeping area, on the lowest level with the Twin beds, does not have a bedroom door. 
- Nuttin' Better is pet friendly for any size dog. People are asked to keep their dogs off the furniture, please. Pet fee is $25/nt per pet, 2 dogs max. Aggressive breeds are not allowed. 
- This home is on a mostly level gravel road. It is plowed in winter but guests visiting from November-April will need to be prepared with 4WD or AWD vehicles; and chains may also be necessary in snowy weather. 
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. 
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- Please observe a quiet hour of 10PM as there are full time residents nearby. 
- Parking space for up to 3 vehicles.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

We rented the house for a week, and we enjoyed every bit of it. The house was clean, spacious and prepped and furnished with all you need. Everything worked well and we greatly recommend this place if you want to ski, explore the area or simply relax anytime of the year.

Truly- there is Nuttin Better than this home! The rooms were comfortable! All beds had extra blankets in closets The kitchen is like your home- not a rental! Great oven! Great fridge! Great utensils: pots and pans. Dishes all match- heavy duty ones. And so clean!!!!! Basement was a little chilly.,,, no problem- space heater tucked away longside the washer and dryer. Hot tub spotless. Fireplace easy to use. The location was perfect!! We will be back for sure!!

As described, comfortable, very well stocked. The fire place did not work. We did call that in. We stayed over Christmas time and really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend for skiing trip, minutes from the skating rink, and slopes.

This place was exactly as described and worth the booking. We all comfortably fit in the bedrooms and common spaces. It was spacious, but cozy, and we loved the porches. The primary bedroom on the main floor was also great for our older dog who was able to get around with needing to use any stairs. We would be happy to stay here again.

The cabin was very clean and everything was in good working condition. It was in a beautiful location and close to town. We had fun using the hot tub and spending time on the back decks.

This was such a comfortable and inviting place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised (and grateful) at how clean it was, especially since it is kid and pet friendly. My three kids enjoyed the downstairs area a great deal. It is a great place to stay for a family gathering. It is also a great location with easy access to the Blowing Rock and Boone areas. Would highly recommend this place.

Great location and probably one of if not the cleanest house we have rented! Back porch very relaxing and nice to see all the deer feed on the apples from the tree in the back yard.

This home is centrally located between Boone and Banner Elk. We stayed during the summer and enjoyed the location to hikes and shopping. Beds were comfortable and home was clean. Nice cabin in the woods.

We had a great stay at Nuttin Better. We loved the yard and proximity to downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. We were able to see the Tweetsie fireworks from the Appalachian ski resort, which was less than 1/4 mile walk. Highly recommend for families!

Spacious house equipped with everything we needed on top of what we brought with us. Hot tub worked great and was nice ending to our evenings! House was super clean and comfortable for our group. Very convenient to Boone and Downtown Blowing Rock.
