Muir Lodge

The cabin was great for our weekend getaway! It was well stocked so we could cook and hang out at the house during our down time. The location worked out well for our trip, we spent a couple days in Banner Elk area so it's about 30-minute drive to get to the area. We skied Sugar Mountain and did the Alpine Coaster during our visit, and it wasn't too bad to drive over there, although the road is very curvy so it may be different if we would have gotten a lot of snow during our trip. Private location and the hot tub on the deck was great after a day on the ski hill! Would definitely stay here again!

Muir Lodge was an excellent choice. While there was some construction during the day it is a beautiful location and very quiet at night. Plenty of space to relax and the kitchen was perfect for all cooking.

We enjoyed Muir Lodge! The location was perfect for our adventures. The beds were clean and comfortable and the outdoor furniture, fire pit and porches were enjoyed by all of our group. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, really enjoyed our stay. Great location, great neighborhood and great views of grandfather mountain off back deck. The home itself, furniture and decor is a little dated but we did not rent this place to be inside the whole time. We did have some issues of things not working, however Blue Ridge is extremely responsive and took care of most items within their control. We may look to find a different property next time we visit, however would highly recommend and look to renting a property that Blue Ridge manages.

We loved our stay Muir Lodge! The location was perfect—close to Blowing Rock and Boone. It was peaceful with pretty views off the back porch. We loved the fire pit and the double living spaces (perfect for when you have kids). We would definitely stay there again!

We loved our stay at Muir Lodge! The balcony and views are amazing. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed (even dog bowls for our pup!) and the beds were super comfy. We enjoyed s’mores in the fire pit with our toddler and loved exploring Blowing Rock, too. We hope to return!

Proximity and ease of access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is a real plus. Beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain from the upper deck. Very nice firepit set up with new chairs. Three master’s suites perfect for a getaway for several couples. We will be back!

The house was wonderful for a extended weekend away with my daughter husband and sister in law and her husband. The hot tub is clean, spacious, amazing! My favorite part of the whole house might be the gliding chairs in the upper deck. We hopped in to the blue ridge parkway SO easily! Such a perfect location to explore Boone and Blowing Rock! Can’t miss spots: Roscoe Gem Mining Grandfather MTn Winery Linville Falls We absolutely loved our stay here and already talked about coming back again!

Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals is wonderful to work with. They are customer focused and easy to communicate with. All communication is clear and honest. Was such an amazing place to stay. Could have been cleaned better, there was an odd smell inside the cabin, beds and pillows weren’t very comfortable, some of the kitchen burners need to be fixed and could use some updated furniture. But the views were great, hot tub and fire place were amazing, great price, easy check in and out. A cozy great cabin experience. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful time getting together in this house. It was perfect for three adult couples. The three bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, the kitchen well equipped and views from the upper deck were lovely, especially at sunset. We did not use the fire pit or hot tub but it was nice to know they were there. It was an easy drive into Blowing Rock and to hikes locations. We would definitely rent again. Our only problem was in our rush to get out in the morning, we all seemed to have left something - hope they are good about returning items.

Between Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain and conveniently located on a road that is yards from the parkway and only a few hundred yard from 221. The house was wonderful. The decks were a hit for the view and the chairs. Used the hot tub and the firepit. Would definitely book again in the future.

Great location to get to many hiking opportunities between Blowing Rock and Linville. Very easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway. The porches and view from them to the mountains was our favorite spot to relax. House had all the amenities you need.

We had a great time at Muir Glen and did not want to leave. The house was clean, well decorated and felt homey. We enjoyed the beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain from the decks and the proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway could not be beat especially for my husband who loves to rode bike on the parkway! Staying at Muir Glen was our family's best mountain getaway and we would definitely consider staying at the home again!

We spent 5 days at Muir Lodge with another couple and 3 kids ranging from 8-13. What a lovely property! My favorite part was how well the kitchen was stocked with cookware, glassware, Kuerig, toaster oven, etc. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful property with spectacular views. The hosts have kept it extremely clean and charming. The rooms are extra large with each having their own private bathroom, living room on second floor is an amazing place for gatherings. Amongst this space is the backyard, the views are mind blowing and the fire pit stands out as a special place to sit and enjoy the evenings.

Overall the house is great, clean and has everything you need including towels for the hot tub (although we had our own). The house is perfect distance from everything, we like to be close but not too close to town. View was great.

We recently came back from our stay at Muir Lodge and it far exceeded my expectations! The house was very comfortable and very roomy. Each bedroom had a large master bathroom. There was a living area in the lower level which we never used as well as the very comfortable living area on the upper level. The deck overlooking Grandfather Mountain was perfect, especially for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The location of the home was perfect as well -- just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and just a few minutes to Downtown Blowing Rock, Moses Cone Park or an easy drive to the town of Boone. We were a family of 5 adults (4 millenials) and everyone had a great time. I hope we will be back in the not too distant future!!

This beautiful home is perfectly situated minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking, Julian Price Lake and Moses Cone; and less than 15 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock.

We absolutely loved this house! We were all in agreement that it was so much better in person. It was perfect for 3 couples. Everyone has their own space and no one is stuck in twin beds. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend away, this is it. We spent the day time exploring nearby Boone and Blowing Rock, then spent the evenings at home taking advantage of the well equipped kitchen and hot tub. There are plenty of games, puzzles, and books to keep everyone entertained, plus having 2 living spaces was great when the ladies were tired of watching sports. Highly recommend this house!
