Mountain View Retreat welcomes you! This private mountain retreat is located in the heart of the High Country and offers unobstructed views of Grandfather Mountain! 

The main level features a bright, open-concept layout with a cozy living room, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen—perfect for gathering after a day of mountain adventures. Just off the main living space, enjoy a dedicated theater room for movie nights and a charming sunroom with a gas stove, creating a warm and relaxing spot to enjoy the views year-round.

Also on the main level is a comfortable bedroom with a full-size bed and a full bathroom conveniently located in the hall. The garage adds an extra dose of fun with a basketball hoop game, perfect for friendly competition.

Upstairs, you’ll find three additional bedrooms. The primary suite offers a king bed and a private en-suite bathroom. A second king bedroom and a bunk room—featuring two twin-over-full bunk beds—share a full bathroom, making this layout ideal for both adults and kids.

Whether you’re sipping coffee while soaking in the mountain views, enjoying movie night with the family, or simply savoring the peace and privacy of the High Country, this Banner Elk home is a place you’ll want to return to again and again.

Additional notes: 
- AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months. The road leading to this home starts as paved then turns to gravel and is moderately steep in some places. 
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. 
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This home is not pet friendly. Thank you for not bringing pets into this home. 
- Please observe a quiet hour of 10PM as there are full time residents nearby. 
- This homeowner uses 3 exterior security cameras to monitor their home and ensure it remains safe.
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
