This place is absolutely gorgeous! Incredibly well stocked, plenty of room, comfortably slept my whole family and could house 8 people very comfortably if we wanted to bring even more. Only thing I wasn’t fully expecting was the 30 minute drive to ski, but that’s nothing that can be changed - and the drive is beautiful so it wasn’t bad at all. I would definitely stay here again.

Really nice place! I loved the view. w We came at the middle of the night, and can't see nothing. But when sun is raised, Really beautiful view opens at front of you! Like in all houses you can find some little things, not exactly what you expected. House decoration exactly for location. we have spend in the house only last day of the stay, because of the rain and very strong fog. I can recommend house for people who like be far from noise and towns. Thank you for our stay.

The cabin was exactly what we were expecting. Very clean, spectacular views of the mountains, very quiet and peaceful. Everything works at expected. Boone was 30 min away if you miss the restaurants. Close to trails. We didn't need a 4WD vehicle but roads were challenging if you are not used to drive in the mountains. Definitely worth it and making memories for the family

Staying at Mountain masterpiece was a wonderful experience. The Christmas decorations made the place feel like home. The cabin was very cozy and the wood burning fireplace added comfort. The Mountain Views were beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was awesome with some of the best views I've ever seen. It is a long winding road that takes you up to the cabin literally at the top of the mountain. The cabin was super clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here. My only reservation would be if there was snow on the ground the long winding road would be very nerve racking to drive if you aren't used to driving on snow.

This is our second year staying at Mountain Masterpiece and will not be the last! The cabin is always perfectly clean and the views seem to get better somehow. It is a short drive to Boone and Beech mountain. Even with less than ideal weather conditions during our stay, we all felt very comfortable. Blue Ridge contacted us to make sure we were good and even offered us a late check out. We will always book with Blue Ridge when in the area. Thanks again for an amazing stay.

This was our second visit and we loved it! The property manager was very informative and warned us about the road that had been affected by Tropical Storm Nicole before we headed up, which we appreciated. The county fixed the road fairly quickly. The view is breathtaking and the hot tub was a welcome retreat after full days of hiking. The bed in the master suite is wonderful, a perfect balance of firm and plush. Everything here is well thought out and just relaxing from the moment we arrived.

This place has a gorgeous view looking from the backside. I love the large wrap around porch and swings! The hot tub was perfect and in a great location, just steps outside of the master bedroom. We wished the grill was in the back overlooking the fantastic view but having the grill was nice in general. The house it up a steep gravel driveway so be prepared. Coyotes would howl a lot nearby. Overall this place was wonderful experience and a relaxing time.

An awesome cabin for a group stay! If a winter stay, be sure to have 4wd. Winter weather can have an impact on the drive up there. This cabin is "back there". The view from the porch is one that never is tiring!

Our only issue was that we wished we would have booked it for longer. It’s great!! The property management is so friendly and so helpful. The cabin is gorgeous and perfect for a mountain getaway. It’s about a 30 minute drive to Beech Mountain. We will definitely be back to this cabin when we are in the area! We did have to drive 20 min out of the way to pick up/drop off the keys. If they had a lock box at the property that would be ideal! Thank you for an amazing stay!!!

This is our third visit to Mountain Masterpiece. The description given is on point, but no words can describe what it is actually like to experience this setting. If you are looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, Mountain Masterpiece is perfect. We explored the surrounding areas during the day (although it is hard to leave the view from the wrap around porch ), built fires, played games and cooked in the well equipped kitchen every night. I would definitely recommend this cabin and Valle Crusis Log Cabin Rentals to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of the mountains. My family plans to make this an annual destination!

Very nice, shower leaked from upstairs into kitchen ceiling. Maintenance came out at end of day, also let him know to operate the dryer you had to use channel locks to change it. (Worked ok but killed my RA in my hands 😊. We donated a baby gate for future families to use at bottom of stairs so they don't have to worry about a young child running upstairs. Overall loved it.

We loved Mountain MasterPeace. The cabin was beautiful and the view was mesmerizing. While the cabin was pretty far out of town, the roads were good and easy to negotiate. The cabin rental agency was great to work with and very helpful. I did wish that we didn’t have to go to their office to pick up and return keys as it was a bit out of our way both times. We would love to come back again one day. Thank You.

Getting to the property is slightly difficult and can be intimidating to a person who is not used to mountain roads. However, the views this place has are breathtaking and completely worth it! Communication with the property owner is smooth and effortless. They answered all my questions and handled problems professionally and quick. The property is remote enough that you fell like you are far out of town, and close enough that it takes less than an hour to get to any shopping you may need. The fireplace is a wonderful fixture and not having to hunt for fire wood is a major benefit.

Our time at the cabin was great. The views are wonderful!! The trees were not in bloom so once that happens the view from the hot tub is limited. The hot tub was great.. very clean. We had plenty of wood and kept the fire going. It's quite a trip up the mountain but my Accord made it... it wouldn't in the winter!!! The directions to get there were spot on but our gps did work. The check in was ok, I wish there were codes on the door instead of having to return the key to the office. All in all We would stay here again!! The office staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Days prior was emailed a packet that had to be signed and initialed on multiple pages then scanned and emailed back.Day of check-in you must go to property mtg company and pickup keys. On checkout you have to drive back to office (25 min from cabin) to return keys. Then they ask you to call to let them know you have checked out. Not a huge deal, but with door codes and digital acknowledgment of rules it could be simple.

The property has an amazing view from everywhere. It was decorated for Christmas with many Christmas trees. Plenty of dishes and supplies. The hot tub was top of line, big enough for 5 people and extremely clean. High ceilings, wood everywhere and a huge deck. Need a 4 wheel drive in the winter. Nice area to walk the dogs with nearly no traffic. We loved it.

Ovearall this was a great rental and I would recommend. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, warm, and comfortable. There isn't any noise buffering between upstairs and downstairs rooms so it was a little bit loud. The hot tub wasn't working and the property manager had it remedied immediately. We missed being able to use the hot tub for 2 of our 3 nights and that was the biggest reason we rented that house instead of another. The manager said he would refund some of my money but then I heard nothing. Gorgeous views from the porch. If you go in the winter, you might want a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Cabin was in a moderately remote location - mainly winding mountain roads but the final couple of miles were unpaved snow/ice covered. Glad to have brought an AWD Tesla rather than minivan due to staff recommendation which was accurate for this time of year. Summer would be fine with car. Driveway is tight - would be tough to get two cars there and wouldn’t be able to turn around. The cabin is well furnished with a wood-burning fireplace (firewood supplied). Gorgeous view from wrap-around deck. Very quiet as you’d expect. Clean hot tub on the uncovered portion of the deck. Kitchen well furnished but as other mentioned - bring your own spices, salt/pepper, and condiments - especially during COVID. The staff was wonderful with quick contact beforehand and were very knowledgeable about their properties. I’ve rented many places thru VRBO but this was by far the best communication that I’ve experienced. Location has great access to ski and recreation areas. I would definitely stay here again.

The drive up to the property was intimidating, but worth the adventure. Once we arrived to the house we were pleasantly surprised by some details that made us relax and enjoy ourselves. The solid wood doors, the luxurious cabin feel with a large stone fireplace, the cleanliness was top notch (sparking wine glasses), the wrap around porch with an AMAZING view was delightful and a clean, updated hot tub was what made our stay even better. This is our second year here and it never disappoints. The view is absolutely breathtaking. The hot tub is always clean and waiting. The home is large and always accommodates our group of 8. The large porch triples the amount of living space. The kitchen is stocked with all the dishes and cookware needed (except a pizza cutter). The beds are comfortable and clean. What a marvelous cabin! The view was captivating at all times of the day. We felt secluded and yet were only 15 minutes to Banner Elk and closer to Valle Crucis. We had terrific hiking, then a lovely soak in the hot tub. For hiking, don't miss Carver's Gap at Roan Mountain for panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and of course, enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway. Cabin was quite comfortable and well-equipped. I can't think of a thing I would change!

The cabin is at a cool 4200' altitude, with a serene, panoramic vista looking north toward Mt. Rogers in Virginia. Hummingbirds buzz the porch, and the hot tub is the perfect end to an idyllic day. Banner Elk and its restaurants, winery, and brewery are not so far, yet the cabin feels a world away from the bustle of civilization. It was delivered to us in spotless condition. The well-equipped kitchen allowed us to remain aloof from crowded dining spots, and the beds afforded us untroubled sleep. The staff at Valle Crucis Log Cabins was friendly, flexible, and helpful to a fault, and check-out was painless. This place and this company were wonderful in every way.

We had a beautiful time in the cabin. The view is out of this world. Every morning you wake up, the mountains have a new view. The cabin was well stocked with everything but condiments (ziploc bags, ketchup, mustard, tin foil or plastic containers for left overs. The beds were comfy and the cabin was gorgeous. Loved this property. The entire family enjoyed it. Management was nice enough to make sure we were prepared for the stay. Got a lot of snow and the 4WD came in handy. I was craving snow and we got our fill for sure. Beautiful views and the hot tub was amazing. Forgot something at the property and the management team has been very accomodating to help return it to me. House had everything we needed. Favorite part was the high end hot tub on the pack porch. Was impressed with all of the updates. The owners really take pride in this place. We look forward to returning for years to come.

Such a perfect cabin for a weekend getaway in the Mountains! Definitely recommend going up the mountain without 4-wheel drive in the winter. The roads are very well kept, but they are pretty steep. The cabin was in phenomenal shape and was perfect for what our group needed. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

The Mountain Masterpiece was so much more than my family expected! We loved every aspect of the cabin. The location was top notch. Going up that mountain was stomach churning (if you're not used to the mountains), but the views and cabin are so worth it. I would recommend this property over and over again to everyone. There were six in our party, and there was plenty of room for us all. It was immaculate when we got there. You definitely want to do your grocery shopping BEFORE you head up that mountain. There are windows and doors with windows all around the property. Letting the light come in every morning was beautiful. I will miss that. They had everything you could think of in their kitchen. Storage was great. Hot water was instant and super hot (we really liked that). The cabin was decorated so well, that I need to make improvements to my own home!

The cabin was great. We were not quite as prepared as we could have been for the winding dirt roads and were excited to hear the drive was to be paved. The area was very quiet and peaceful.

It was very clean upon our arrival, everything worked, the house was well equipped as described, there were no disappointments. But the outstanding quality of this house is the spectacular view. I have been renting for the month of August for over 10 years to escape the South Florida heat so I've experienced a few disappointing rentals along the way and many wonderful ones. This house is one that I hope to return to next year. There is no way to describe the enjoyment of hours spent on the deck, sometimes with clear skies, other with the fog rolling in and out of the mountains. Really quite wonderful. The kitchen was easy to work in. I know it to be true because I had many family members come for a few days at a time and we had just about all of our meals together at home. During my final week we had wonderful fires in the fireplace, a treat for South Floridians. The ride up and down the mountain was not difficult and soon became a breeze. The scenery up and down the mountain is just lovely. I took the time to say hello to the horses, cows, wild turkeys, bunnies and one singular deer. I spotted a small black bear scrambling off the street one morning but never saw it again. When I go off into the woods on my own I always carry Bear Spray, just in case. The rental people were very nice. I arranged through them to meet their new employee, Grady, who led me up the mountain the first time and also completely unloaded my car for me. What a nice young man and so helpful after a long car ride. I, of course, had arranged in advance a nice gratuity for him. I must mention how wonderful it was to have the 's beautiful, comfortable, easy to operate, holds 4 people easily, and was the perfect treat at the end of each day on the mountain.

This was a delightful home to spend the month of August in. For the last 10 years I've been renting homes in the area, mostly on Beech Mountain, but the view and interior of the home showcased on VRBO convinced me to try another mountain. I was not disappointed. Everything about the home was accurately portrayed on the VRBO website, but no photos could show the spectacular view adequately. It was my most important qualifier and this home had it nailed. I spent most of my time on the deck, sunny days, a few rainy days, but my favorite days started early in the morning watching the fog settle in and then lift. Just lovely. The house was so comfortable; the very good quality of the furniture made it so. The beds and linens were perfect. Ceiling fans everywhere made it so comfortable. The kitchen was a dream to work in; well equipped though be prepared to bring your own spices, etc. I've always done that anyway so it wasn't a problem. The house came with the various supplies detailed on the website so I was well prepared. Though there were no neighbors in the two homes nearby I felt very safe alone in the house; the door and window locks were of excellent quality I had family coming and going throughout my stay & everyone agreed that this was their favorite house of all those I've rented over the years. The spa was a big hit. Under the stars on cool, cool nights we all were in heaven! It was so easy to operate & crystal clear clean. ..and set at the perfect temperature. Going up and down the mountain became a breeze after a while. The scenery going either direction was glorious and so picturesque. I often stopped to say hello to the horses, cows, steer, bunnies and wild turkeys...and deer, though few of them. I did see a small black bear scamper from the road into the woods next door so I kept them in mind on my hikes. I always carry Bear Spray when I venture alone into the woods to feel prepared! I'm already thinking about next year as we hunker down here in South Florida getting ready for the hurricane. I wish I was still on the deck at Mountain Master Peace!

We were thrilled with our time at Mountain Masterpiece. The cabin was exactly as described, clean and the view was unbelievable! Linens and towels were great quality and beds were very comfortable (with new pillows). The hot tub and deck made it so easy to relax and enjoy that awesome view as much as we wanted. We will definitely make this our destination for any and all future trips to the mountains. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience!!

My wife and I brought our adult kids and their significant others up for an nice three-night stay. The communication for our pre-trip was professional and concise. The house met or exceeded all of our expectations. There were a few very minor maintenance items that did not need to be addressed during our stay, so they were simply brought to the attention of the manager when we checked out. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice relaxing stay in the mountains.

Had a great time at the cabin. Great views and nice and quiet. Kids were excited the Easter Bunny could still find us way up high on the mountain. We even had surprise April snow flurries which added to the fun. The cabin was in great shape, clean and well appointed. A super weekend!

Our family had a wonderful time. The cabin was perfect and the view is amazing. We loved having a wood burning fireplace. Nothing negative to say. If the weather is bad you will need a four wheel drive. The scenery to get to the cabin is worth the trip. Look forward to going back.

This home was perfect for a quaint ski getaway. The home itself is perfect for 7 people or so and the views are incredible. The hot tub was an added bonus :). The hosts were extremely accommodating and very kind. I would definitely recommend and am thinking about booking again for a summer getaway.

The house itself was very welcoming, with most necessities available. I especially liked the privacy of the master bed & bath, with the option to close off the room, and the additional bedrooms being upstairs. The real surprise is the breathtaking mountain view from the spacious deck (which includes a fabulous swing & hot tub!). My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed bringing our 2 children and my in-laws to this relaxing mountain home!

My only hesitation in raving about this wonderful home is that the owner may realize the price could be higher, as there is NO WAY any mountain house on this site could beat it. PERIOD! Everything top notch, everything. Nicest hot tub I've ever been in. Nicest grill I've ever used. Everything immaculate. Biggest complaint... broken toaster. But, I even got that to work fine! The location is remote, so if you want convenience or "activities," you'll be disappointed. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful home with amazing views, book it!
