Absolutely perfect home for a large gathering! This house is very special - lovely and well-furnished in every way. My family has rented it now for two years for our family reunion and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend!

The Bolding family loves this property!! We always tube at Hawk's Nest and the sledding down the driveway was MOST excellent. The kitchen dining area fits our 15 family members just perfectly. We plan to return next year, hopefully on the same weekend for a longer stay. From the number of ensuites to the number of bedrooms....Matney Ridge just works and we feel at home there. Thank you so much for our wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay!! The house was fabulous and met all of our needs for our stay. We had 15 guests and had plenty of room for everyone! And the location is great. Will definitely rent again when we're in the area! The kids loved the treehouse and playing by the creek!

We came for my fiancé's birthday with several couples and their teenage kids. It was so comfortable and the property had a cool hiking trail, disc golf, and easy access to Elk and the ski resorts. We loved the hot tub and would come back in the warm whether to enjoy the outdoor areas even more.

Experience of a Lifetime! My friends and family had one of the best vacations of their lifetime at Matney Ridge Estate in Banner Elk, N.C. thanks to Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. The house was in pristine order, they were accessible for questions, they made the check-in and check-out procedure very easy and it was all around an amazing experience! I would highly recommend them!

Wow! Matney Ridge is an uniquely and beautifully constructed home on a gorgeous, secluded piece of property. It is very well appointed with comfortable and inviting furnishings and the kitchen is very well supplied with ample silverware, plates, and cooking supplies for a large crowd (the multiple large skillets were greatly appreciated!). We enjoyed the very large deck with lots of seating, pool table, hot tub, and exploring the grounds. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and our kids have already asked if we're going back next year!

We stayed at the property in Jan 2022 after a large snowfall - property was well maintained and driveway was cleared For easy access with a 4x4 - snow covered driveway NOT good for 2 wheel Drive - house had plenty ty of room for 5 teenage children and 2 adult families - kitchen was fabulous and very well stocked with everything you need to cook - Hot tub area was one of the best I have ever seen - our teenage kids loved exploring the property and the second set of adults enjoyed the separate guest quarters over the garage - beds were extremely comfortable - we hope to have a chance to come back for another weekend getaway in the fall !

Matney Ridge is wonderful! Our family which is spread out across the US stayed at Matney Ridge to attend a Banner Elk wedding. The home is fantastic and very accommodating. We could not have been more pleased. Our 3 year old granddaughter summed it up by saying she loved the big house!

My goal is to adequately express how amazing this property is. My family (my parents plus 3 sisters with our families) stayed for our annual vacation. Kids range from 2-15 and all loved it. There was plenty of space at the house and property to feel like we all had our own space. We’ve rented houses for 15+ years and all agreed this was our favorite. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was immaculate and fancy yet comfortable. We could tell the owners care well for the property and take pride in their home. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The furniture was quality and not typical rental junk. The kitchen had everything we needed. The management company was available and helpful. They welcomed us when we arrived to show us around the house. And the acreage. Wow. It was my little slice of heaven. The sunrise view off the back porch was worth waking up for. The whole property was beautiful and worth exploring. For any of you instacart users, I had Publix delivered shortly after we arrived which was awesome. Location was great too

Off the beaten path (which we like) between Boone and Banner Elk. We had 12 folks and several dogs - plenty of room with the 7 bedrooms and most don’t even share a bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped. The house is on over 70 acres with (strenuous) trails to explore. Thanks for having us!

This was our third winter trip to Banner Elk. This secluded property was amazing. It has amazing views, a fantastic layout for multiple families, hiking, rope swings next to a creek, not to mention a completely stocked kitchen! Everything you could need for a fantastic get away from it all. I hope to be able to return to this beautiful property in the near future. Our children range from 1 to 8 and they all cried when we had to leave. You can explore the grounds for hours. Again, I cannot say enough great things about this property. Thank you for sharing it.

Wow, such a beautiful cabin! All the activities are built in the beautiful property- fishing, hiking, sight seeing, etc. The cabin was very clean and up to date. The property manager reached out to us daily to check in on our stay. We really could not have asked for a better experience!

This property has so many amenities and places to roam and explore, you'll never have to leave for an adventure.
