The view right outside the living room windows was perfect. You could see the top of the mountains and the valleys with the fog rolling through. Just a couple miles from restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores & within a 30 mile radius so many outdoor sightseeing abilities. Despite having neighbors sharing the driveway and another set of neighbors behind you, it was very quiet.

Me & my wife stayed here for 2 nights after our wedding and it was the perfect little get away. The cabin was beautiful and very cozy for the two of us. We will definitely be looking for more BRMR properties on our next mountain getaway!

This house allowed us to be surrounded by nature and enjoy privacy. We came to visit the Sugar Mountain ski resort, and this place was perfect for that. The house was very clean inside, and we found a lot of stuff in the kitchen, allowing us to cook any meals we wanted. Everything inside the house looked new, and the view from the window was beautiful.

Little Bear Cabin was perfect for our peaceful weekend away. Definitely have to pay attention to the directions given as the GPS only gets you to the bottom of the location access road, but very clear directions. Not a place to go without 4WD during the winter; the access road was plowed in a timely manner once snow stopped. Good location to go to for on the town activities or just stay and lounge in the hot tub!

This peaceful gem is all it claims to be and more. Beautifully appointed - interior & exterior. Love the decor! The hot tub is a delight and the mountain view at any time of day is breathtaking. It is totally possible to bring your groceries and not leave until check-out. Banner Elk and Boone are within 20-30 mins distance and have great restaurants & shops. Host is quick to respond & very helpful.

Little Bear was exceptional! The property was clean and thoughtfully designed providing luxury and comfort in a compact space. The views of Grandfather Mountain were breathtaking and the location was ideal when traveling to Banner Elk/Boone/Blowing Rock. Communication was top notch, from easy check in to reminders for check out. The owners allowed our fur babies, which made the stay that much more special. The rental is a true gem; just be mindful to practice your dish washing skills (no dishwasher), to enjoy the roof top sounds from rain and falling chestnuts (metal roof), to practice your driving skills (driveway is narrow and steep), and to embrace the echo from the tall ceilings. Little Bear offered us a perfect blend of relaxation and elegance and we can't wait to return!

We loved Little Bear's Escape. The location was just off the main road but felt very private and peaceful. The road to the property was a little steep, mostly gravel, but well maintained. All wheel drive or 4x4 recommended. The property was exactly as advertised, very clean, and comfortable. We loved all the natural light and watching the mountains change as the day progressed. It was quiet but easy to get to Boone, Banner Elk and beyond. The hot tub was a nice perk too! We wouldn't hesitate to return to this beautiful home. Blue Ridge was a great host, gave easy to follow instructions, and was very responsive. We did not have any problems or complaints. Thank you!

Had issues with the heat the first night we were there and the host did everything to have the issue corrected quickly for us. The space is beautiful and has everything we needed and wanted. Hot tub is a great addition and the views were great. We would definitely stay again in the future.

The cabin is encapsulated by gorgeous views of the North Carolina Mountains; this makes for such a wonderful experience when reading with a hot tea or morning cup of coffee. We really enjoyed the property! It was close to restaurants and activities in Banner Elk. Perfect size for a couple and small dog. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. Had some trouble with ventilation indoors with the fireplace so we had to keep the windows open while we had the fire going. We always pick up after our dog, but there was a down the road neighbor with several dogs that were unleashed and unsupervised doing their business on the property. So if you bring your dog, just beware of other dogs in the area. Driving up to the cabin is a small road, gravel for most of it which may be difficult in winter months.

The cabin was clean and well designed. Beautifully decorated and the kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was clean and the outdoor seating was comfortable and adequate. There was plenty of towels in the bathroom and the bed was comfortable.

My wife and I love to stay in tiny homes, let me just say this tiny home is by far the best one we have stayed in . The house was clean , unique and very modern. It was in a great location in my opinion and the views were amazing from inside the house. We have even discussed about coming back and staying during the fall / winter !

Wonderful place to get away together and have some quiet time. Everything was as pictured, would definitely stay here again. The driveway could use a little work, there were many places where the gravel had washed which made it a bit bumpy but all in all would totally recommend this place.

This cozy, modern cottage was perfect for my short getaway with just me and my dog. It's beautifully decorated and was very clean and comfortable. I loved that it was dog-friendly :) The location is wonderfully private but it's still conveniently located so it's easy to get any place you may need to go. I was a bit worried that the hot tub is located at the front of the home, but there is no other home visible from the hot tub, so it felt perfectly private. The cottage had everything I needed to cook meals and feel at home. I loved it so much that I am looking at returning to the neighboring property, Big Bear Escape, with my family!
The ONLY downside has absolutely nothing to do with the property and I'm sure the owners have no control over, but it's worth mentioning. There is a LARGE gap/trench between Highway 105 and the road this home is on. So when you turn onto this road, GO SLOWLY or you may need an alignment afterwards. It took me by surprise!

Beautiful house exactly as described. Make sure you park next to the house and not in front of the hot tub!
Love the expansive sliding door across the front of the house- the views alone are amazing!
Hot tub- great! Beware- you will have to walk on gravel to get from the tub to the house- bring some sandals or crocs etc. I cut my foot the first night.
The management company was very fast to respond- once because our internet went out and again because the hot tub started smelling. Both times the customer service was awesome.
One small con- the bedroom is at least 10 degrees hotter than the living room. Make sure you turn down the heat during the evening/night.
One big con- the bed. The first night my husband woke up with the worst neck pain and each night got worse. The last 2 nights I had horrible back pain. DON'T try the couch bed. lol
All in all- well worth it- this house was private but close to Sugar and has everything you need for a great time.

We had a beautiful and snowy stay at Little Bear. The house was beautifully decorated and designed, a perfect modern minimalism home. It was an ideal spot for us to be snowed in for the holidays. The hot tub overlooks grandfather mountain, as does the view from the living room windows. You won’t regret staying here!

We had a great weekend. Fireplace didn’t vent well, had to crack a door because smoke detector kept going off. Eventually carbon monoxide detector activated. We call maintenance and they came within 30mins and changed the batteries. Other than that, the stay was peaceful.

The house was adorable, the modern architecture and design offered an open floor plan with huge windows and gorgeous views. The furniture and decor were well appointed. The owners thought of all the details in terms of furnishings, as well as, amenities. Our vacation was so relaxing and we were in want of nothing. We will definitely return and encourage anyone to come enjoy this beautiful space. The location was also terrific, not far from either Banner Elk or Boone.

It's quiet and close to downtown Banner Elk, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Lots of hiking and outdoor activities in the area. The fact that we were able to bring our dog along was a huge plus too.
