Hummingbird Hollow was fantastic. Easy to find and we especially appreciated how close it was to everything. Major trails, the Blue Ridge Parkway, all the towns you'd want to visit. Despite the proximity to all major attractions in the are the property was secluded and felt very private. We only stayed the weekend but maximized the time we had. The cabin was well appointed, clean, and had everything we (or you) would need for a comfortable stay. I have to add that the host was always responsive, usually within 10 minutes if we had a question. 10/10 would stay here again. Thanks for the great trip!

Beautiful home that was clean and well maintained, with plenty of amenities. The communication with BRMR was excellent before, during, and after our stay. We had no issues with check in or check out, and everything was as advertised, no surprises. We lost power mid-stay and BRMR was very prompt in responding when we reached out. Outage was less than 15 minutes. We will definitely use BRMR again.

This place is absolutely stunning, And beautiful. The home is a vacation in itself! We had a wonderful time it was cozy and relaxing. The home not only was it easy to access and get in everything was labeled with little labels, letting us know exactly where when and what I was extremely impressed with this and it made for a easy stay one thing you don't want to have to worry about every day life homes when you're trying to enjoy yourself this home was perfect. Even though it was only a 2 acre lot and other homes were close by, it was very well secluded and laid out so the presence of other people was not felt. All in all, it was a great spot. I definitely recommend this location and will definitely be using Blue Ridge Mountain rentals in the future.

Great home for our family of 4 and for having a few extra college kids for dinner. The location is very convenient to Boone and Valle Crucis and a short drive to all the other High Country towns. The driveway is very steep, but was fine with our regular sedan vehicles in Fall. 2 cars can park easily and there is room for a 3rd car.

My family stayed at Hummingbird Hollow to celebrate my son's birthday. He was so excited to have the air hockey table to play and hot tub to hang out in. My husband and I enjoyed watching the birds and chipmunks from the porch. We did not use the fire pit, but it is a beautiful set up. The property is very secluded from surrounding properties; we enjoyed the privacy. Inside the cabin was well organized and clean. There are little notes to help navigate the home. Management had great communication throughout the stay through text and email. I had to call afterhours once and they were very responsive. My family enjoyed our stay at Hummingbird Hollow very much. My son is already asking if we can come back next year.

This was an unforgettable experience! The cabin was beautiful and the hot tub was nestled at the corner of the deck so when you were sitting in it you felt like you were in the woods! The customer service was the best I've ever experienced at an Airbnb - so responsive, proactive and considerate. We didn't have a lighter for the fire so they dropped one by at a moment's notice! Our stay was great! Our house was beautifully decorated for Christmas! Instructions for everything were clearly defined and published in a book and throughout the house. Emails from the agency were sent throughout our stay to check in and to remind us of important check-in/out procedures which was very nice to have and be able to refer to. This is a rustic but cozy cabin with plenty of room for 4-6 people. It has plenty of outside decking to enjoy the beautiful private surroundings. The new grill, hot tub, fire pit and carport are the icing on the cake. The internet was good and the kitchen is stocked for very basic cooking. If you're a cook's cook, bring your own favorite kitchen tools. The location is very central to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Grandfather mountain. We enjoyed out stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this very woodsy, private home. It is so close to anywhere you could want to visit. It has a manicured yard with ample parking, large porch with tons of seating, jacuzzi hot tub and a new gas grill. Our dogs loved exploring the yard and we didn't have to worry about any traffic! We made a fire in the cozy cabin fireplace and watched movies, went hiking nearby at Otter Falls, shopped in Boone and Blowing Rock and visited Grandfather Mountain where we picnicked by a stream and saw deer in Moses Cone Memorial Park. We highly recommend and definitely would go back!

What a nice cabin! The family enjoyed using the hot tub while it was snowing out...we went snow tubing nearby at Hawks nest Tubing and it was a totally relaxing weekend in the cabin. Very quiet and cozy. Built a fire in the fireplace and just enjoyed getting snowed in for the weekend. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. We would stay again for sure!! **Note: they recommend 4WD or AWD during winter and possible snowy roads. Take heed on the advice, as the driveway is steep to get up to cabin. But once up there....you won't want to leave!! Awesome weekend!!

My husband and I rented the cabin to move our son into ASU for his Freshman year. The location was perfect and a great distance mix between the University and Blowing Rock, which is where we ate, etc. The home has EVERYTHING for everybody. From privacy, to a front porch swing, a grill, a jacuzzi, games galore, and a true rustic feel of a cabin home. We loved the fire pit and made good use of it for smores. I have stayed in a lot of cabins and this one is in my top 3! We will for sure be back. If you are on the fence, don't be- it's perfect and you will love it. My family of 3 as well as our dog enjoyed our stay in this cute cabin. It had plenty of room for all of us. While we did not use the hot tub, my son enjoyed the air hockey table. The house was conveniently located close to Boone and only a short drive to Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. I am rating it 4 rather than 5 stars as the home sits off a busy road and between 2 other driveways that were very busy with cars going up and down during our stay. Car noise can be heard while sitting on the necks but it not noticeable when inside the home.

It snowed on the day of our arrival and left the area looking like a winter wonderland. The house was just as it was described. We recently stayed at Hummingbird Hollow and really enjoyed our stay!! It is in a perfect location. You feel like you're "away from it all" but you're also really close to everything!! We loved the coziness of the cabin and the stocked kitchen! The outdoor living areas were awesome as well. The only thing that really could use some attention is the hot tub. It worked fine but you can tell it's been around for a while. Some of the headrest things had either fallen off or were about to and another piece had broken off as well...not sure what that piece was for but it was on the back porch when we got there. Also, it was a warm evening and we couldn't figure out if there was AC or not. We will probably be back in the fall!!!

The excellent location of this home makes it an easy drive to Boone, Banner Elk, and even Blowing Rock (using the back roads), so it’s convenient to trails, restaurants, and shopping. The house is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is well-stocked. Although the property is dog friendly, you won’t know it! Apparently, the requirement to keep dogs off furniture and beds works well. Our senior Boston Terrier had a wonderful time. We had our own cabin in Watauga County years ago, and Hummingbird Hollow makes us miss being home owners. We’ll be returning here often!

Great stay at Hummingbird Hollow. I took my family of four and had a great time. We ended up having contests to see who could get the highest points on the basketball shooting game in the loft upstairs. My wife won with 113. It's very quiet. It's up in the trees so you have lots of privacy. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, plates, etc., we cooked almost every day. Hot tub was nice and hot. Sitting out of the large deck under the trees was very relaxing and enjoyable. We're going to come back in September. I have already recommended this cabin to a friend for his upcoming mountain trip.

Hummingbird hollow is a pristine cabin, perfect for a quick mountain get away. Communication with owner easy, checking in zero hassle, will return! Location great for visiting both Boone and Blowing Rock (a lot of cute shops and a few breweries to check out). We spent a lot of time hiking in Julian Price Memorial Park with our dogs and plan to go back to do Grandfather Mountain. Great area.

Hummingbird Hollow is in a great location, the home and grounds are well maintained, the gas grill and hot tub were pristine and everything we could ever need was there for us to use. The home is almost exactly halfway between Sugar and Banner Elk and Boone and Valle Crucis is just down the road. And since Uber is now in Boone, you can take a $16 ride into town for many great F&B options. The rental process with BRVC is the easiest and friendliest we have ever experienced. We're looking forward to returning in the spring to see all of the rhododendrons that surround the property. Thanks so much for an awesome weekend getaway!

We spent five nights here. Our daughter and her husband joined us for three nights. We brought our pup (Willie), and he met Molly the beagle. We had our Thanksgiving here, turkey and all the trimmings. Delicious! We used the fireplace every night and we were toasty and warm. We read books, went sight seeing, even went to the Blowing Rock Christmas Parade.Daughter and son in law were studying for exams so mixed quick times with fun times. They enjoyed the hot tub very much. I had trouble with the Direct TV, got help from the rental agent and Direct TV hotline worked it out. Weather was good, got cold and windy on Saturday. NO Snow. A good time was had by all.

What a lovely, warm, well-tended cabin home. My husband, teen and I felt quite at ease here and so did our canine "kids". The location is great, and I'll bet the spring/summer blossoms here are gorgeous. The provisions for our fire-building were very helpful; so was the binder filled with info about the area. We loved the trestle table, and the counter tops, too-unique! And the master bedroom bed!.

We spent Christmas and New Years here celebrating the holidays, and skiing at Beech and Sugar. this is our seventh trip to the area, but our first stay at this cabin in the Valle Crucis area, we usually stay in Banner Elk. We wanted a cabin in Valle Crucis this time for us and our two small children to enjoy after skiing most days. We had about 7 inches of snow over 5-6 days and some very cold nights. We enjoyed the fireplace. Thanks for all the firewood, as we needed it. The living room, decorations, hot tub, day bed area, and two bedrooms were cozy and the furniture was very nice. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and this is a lovely location and a cozy cabin.

Such an adorable and cozy cabin! Just what we were looking for to spend our 3 year anniversary. The hot tub was great and really comfy bed. We took in the sights at Grandfather Mountain, Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns - ALL must sees! But there's so much we didn't do so we just might be back!!

We had a great long weekend here at Hummingbird Hollow! What a beautiful palace! It was great to be able to enjoy the jacuzzi and the fireplace! When it got chilly at night. We were lucky and had beautiful weather the whole weekend. We went zip-lining at Hawksnest, it was awesome! Highly recommended! We hope to be back here again within the next year. The Blue Ridge parkway was beautiful and only 15 minutes away. Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely cabin!

My husband and our two boys came up from Mt. Vernon, VA to have a quick getaway before school started. We had an amazing time! We loved the hot tub, ping pong/airhockey table and just playing chess at the dinner table. We drove into Elizabethton TN and went whitewater rafting – it was AWESOME. A nice place to spend a couple weeks to escape the Summer Florida heat - like living in a tree house. The home is nicely furnished and comfortable. Bed linens are superb. We did enjoy the wrap around porch and spent most of our time there. The weather was perfect - 70's in days, 50's at night. Good jeans and sports tops weather. The rental agency was easy to work with and immediately responded to our request for more towels and a change of sheets. Brought a stack of brand new ones. The setting is quiet and the mountain air is pure and refreshing. And if you're lucky the neighbors ancient beagle hound will stop by to say "hello." thanks for a memorable get-a-way.

Our family stayed in the cabin for Fourth of July. We had a wonderful stay, despite the rain. It rained pretty much the whole trip. We enjoyed all the unique attributes like air hockey and the hot tub. We loved the Mast General Store as well as put put golf in the rain. Hope to come again! The Spencer Family, District of Columbia

My sister and I spent a week in your wonderful home. Most of the time we spent enjoying the wonderful deck. It is so peaceful here and just what we both needed. Your home is so comfortable, and we could not have been more pleased. We are looking forward to our next visit to this beautiful area. It was so nice to have all the conveniences of home. After weeks of looking for the perfect cabin in the mountains my mother found Hummingbird Hollow. She was looking for a place that made her feel like it was home and that I was allowed to come as well. Everything she needed she found with your beautiful cabin. The best part for me was barking at the deer that came to visit. So peaceful I slept the whole time! Thanks a ton.

Nice stay at the cabin. Here for the B.S.G Bike Ride. Good location, close to everything. Try the café bakery in Valle Crucis. Just open a week. Good baked goods, lunches and dinners. Very affordable too. The Cooks, Hollywood, FL

Thanks so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely home. We were so happy to stay here. It rained the first day but the fireplace kept us cozy warm. We ventured off the rest of our visit. We shopped and on our last day we went zip lining. Yep! Two 50 year old coots went flying through the trees. It was amazing. Everything was fantastic on our trip. I was pleased to see everything we needed was available in the cabin. We felt right at home here. Only one complain... I don't own it. LOL. I have a dream home and this is it. We aren't looking forward to leaving, but work duties call. Can't wait to get back for our next trip. Thanks for letting me bring my babies Pacer and Moe.

We had such a great time here at Hummingbird Hollow! The house is beautiful and it had everything and more t hat we needed to make our stay comfortable - I loved how it was secluded and private and how it's just close enough to town - Great restaurants in town too! Capone's pizza was GREAT! Makoto's Japanese Steak House was EXCELLENT! and Dos Amigos was good Mexican food! Grandfather Mountain was a beautiful place to visit and we drove some on the Blue Ridge Parkway which was gorgeous! PS. The daily visit from the resident Robin pecking on the windows in the morning was hilarious!

I am truly sad to leave this peaceful log cabin perfectly situated in the lush foliage. Waking up to temperatures in the 60's was such a delight. Loved the coziness of each room - each of which was perfectly appointed. "Molly" the beagle came up to visit us each day from somewhere on the mountain. This location was perfectly central to all of our activities: hiking the trails of Grandfather mountain, running at the Valle Crucis Park, shopping at Mast General, eating yummy meals in Boone. We loved every minute of our trip and hope to return one day! Thanks!

I am so beyond happy that I came across this cabin in my search! I was looking for a place that was away from it all to spend time with my boyfriend and be able to bring my fur baby and this had it all! There is nothing I would change. Thank you for making this a home away from home. I can't wait to come back. PS. I would love to see all of the greenery with the buds on it now in full bloom. We had such a wonderful stay. Absolutely loved the cabin and location. The hot tub was amazing! So glad we were able to spend a family retreat here at Hummingbird Hollow. We would love to return during another season. We think fall would be beautiful.

Thanks so much for having us in your home! I had such a wonderful time your home is the true meaning of cozy relaxing - to say the least it felt like home, so much so we had to stay one extra day. It rained almost all weekend, however the atmosphere made it very pleasant. I will definitely come back again in a few month as a quick getaway since I'm just in Charlotte. Thanks see you soon.

If the weather had cooperated, it would have been perfect. It's not that we were looking for snow, but we sure didn't count RAIN. On the bright side, it forced us to slow down and enjoy each other. I'm thinking it might have been too much togetherness for our two boys. We enjoyed the hot tub, games, the beautiful fireplace and yes, TV. Can't wait to come back and do some exploring on foot. Would love to see some waterfalls! Not sure when that will be.

Thank you so much. What a beautiful cabin, we had a wonderful time here on our Honeymoon. Hot tub, dinner at Louisiana Purchase, then relaxing with a beautiful fire and yes - SNOW! What more could you ask for? Pet Friendly!!! Our baby "Reba" loved all of it. This has been one of the most romantic getaways we have ever had.
