Our experience started the moment we entered the gate and drove up the mountain. As we arrived, we were immediately blown away by the incredible view and how beautiful the house was in person — the pictures honestly didn’t do it justice. The view from the back deck was amazing both during the day and at night.
Within the first few minutes of being there, a deer walked up within about five feet of us while we were on the deck. Our daughter was absolutely thrilled and it made the moment even more special.
The home easily accommodated our entire group and everyone was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cookware we needed, which made preparing meals easy. We also had a great time enjoying the hot tub and the pool table during our stay.
Overall, it was a peaceful and memorable place to spend time together. We would definitely come back and stay again. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home with us.

One thing to note-while there is a wide variety of pots, pans and cooking utensils, there are absolutely no kitchen ingredients (salt/pepper, oil, spices, etc), so come prepared!

The property is so well put together. The electronics and appliances are state-of-the-art but straightforward to use.
My one area of feedback is for the property company (not the property owner). The after-hours phone line needs some improvement; the call center should have at least the basic details of the property to help with emergencies (for example, the electrical breakers, water outlets, etc.).
An outstanding technician, Mr Trapper McGuire, resolved our issue the following day, but the call center needs to improve to avoid dangerous situations.
I would 100% come back and would recommend it to anyone!

Our family of 11 had a wonderful stay at Homestead Lodge. The amazing views from the multiple decks are simply beautiful. We enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets. The location is extremely private and quiet. The grounds and firepit were beautiful and perfect. The home was clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and cozy. Plenty of room for us to spread out. All bedrooms were thoughtfully furnished, and the beds were great. The house is thoughtfully stocked. The kitchen contains everything you need to make any meal - far more than the standard Airbnb kitchen fare. There are also thoughtful extras in case you forgot any basics. Be sure to plan on exploring the community. Our family enjoyed the base camp area. Advice, please pay attention and heed warnings from Blue Ridge Rentals regarding the bears. We encountered the community's residents adorable bear family of 4 a few times during our visit with them getting into my daughter's unlocked Tahoe on our first night! Just make sure & lock all vehicle doors and remove food items!! We were lucky and relieved they only enjoyed the kid's treats in the car and did not cause any damage. We are looking forward to our next visit soon!

We loved our stay! I have to say the pictures online do not do the property justice. Everything you could think of has been covered! The place is located perfectly and is stunning. We enjoyed the neighborhood UTV rentals all week as well! When we had a question by text we got a prompt response even on a Sunday! We would stay in this property again for sure! My only take away was after a 8 hour drive and arriving at 4PM the cleaners were not done so we all stood outside for 20 mins waiting for them to be done cleaning the property. Another note is the rental company does have a way for you to order firewood and I assumed all 3 fireplaces were wood burning and ordered 7 days worth of firewood. For other renters the only wood burning firewood you need is if you use the outside fireplace. The main floor inside fireplace is gas and the game room fireplace is for looks only. But we loved using the main floor fireplace! Other than that we loved the home so much and will be back!

The home is far superior to anything pictures can do justice. Having built 3 homes in the 850-million dollar range, I can attest that the owner thought out everything in this home and spared no expense. The furnishings are super comfortable and the kitchen has absolutely everything and anything you could possibly want. The basement is very well equipped and there are endless board games etc to keep you busy. The location is perfect as it's high enough to have a beautiful view but not so much that you need oxygen to go all the way to the top of the mountain which can take time. Easy in and out for visiting Grandfather mountain, Boone, Sugar mountain, beech mountain or anything you may want to explore in the area. We did go up and rent a couple of ATV's to explore the trails in the community which was a gas. We went to Grandfather Winery north of Banner Elk and it sits right by a river and is very peaceful. A couple of negatives is the construction traffic starts at around 7 am for workers heading up the hill which can be noisy but they did not bother us at all. The ice maker was not working and the player piano would not accept CD's to play. 2 bedrooms windows would not open for the cool night but I'm sure they would have come right over to fix but we didn't mind as we were only there 3 nights so we didn't want to give up the privacy of just having the house to ourselves with no maintenance personnel coming in. We will rent the house in a heartbeat again and plan to. Beautiful stay.

Last minute Labor Day weekend getaway with family. Very clean and spacious. Could not watch movie in theater room, but besides that everything was wonderful. When called the property manager to inform, someone responded promptly. I would definitely recommend and would come back again

The attention to detail was mind blowing. Our company opted to rent a large cabin in the mountains to conduct a leadership training seminar and stumbled upon this beautiful home. It appeared to check all the boxes as it even had a theatre which was perfect for presentations. We were all able to make ourselves at home and began the process of determining what we would be able to make for meals based on how well the kitchen was stocked. Once our seminar wrapped up we took to the amenities and had a blast watching movies, playing pool, hanging out in the hot tub, and the most fun had was over several games of Uno. The rooms were very cozy and peaceful, coupled with the high thread count sheets and amazing mattresses and you have a perfect recipe for deep sleep. To sum it up, the attention to detail paid by the owner of this home was simply amazing and the customer service received on the daily by the realty company was beyond stellar! The home is conveniently located so you do not need a 4-wheel drive to access the property. When we visited, there was inclement weather of 2 - 3 inches of wintery mix (snow), and we had no trouble accessing the property. The property manager was wonderful and provided a wonderful tour of all the homes amenities. The SONOS music system and baby grand piano was such a treat; not to mention the wonderful accommodations for the children! The home had plenty of room for all thirteen of us. The house is very sufficiently appointed and the Great-room is so lovely! The only thing wrong with our stay is that it wasn't long enough. You'll love staying at The Homestead Lodge!

The rental process was very simple, and access to the property made very easy. Joanie and the property management team were extremely responsive and actually reached out before the trip to make sure everything was setup and ready for us. They were very helpful, even reaching out during our stay to check and see if we needed anything. The house is phenomenal, and was perfect for our trip. It provided perfect accommodations for our golf group. We would definitely recommend this house, and we would absolutely rent it again.

The property lived up to expectations. Everyone in our group loved the house and location. The huge island in the kitchen made meal prepping with the group fun and easy. The kids loved watching movies in the home theater. My favorite thing was the outdoor fireplace and having coffee on the expansive deck in the mornings.
The property manager was extremely responsive to the requests we made of her during our stay. I’ve rented many homes in the past and can’t remember ever having such great service.
The only caveat for me with regard to the house is due to its proximity to the entrance of the neighborhood. We found the noise from heavy trucks driving past the house to be really loud and obtrusive on many occasions, sometimes very early in th AM. There is a lot of construction going on in the neighborhood,

Lots of room for big groups and families. House has everything you could need. Eagles nest is amazing...concerts on Saturday, toy barn and play area for kids, hiking trails. House has top of the line technology but often too difficult to use. Our family had a wonderful time, even in middle of summer weather was cool enough at night for fires! Joanie was wonderful to work with and made the stay great!

The kitchen was the best -equipped kitchen we have seen, with large quantities of silverware and dishes that all matched and made for a wonderful setting for our family who visited. Very pet friendly, and our two dogs enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The property manager was very attentive and responsive to our every need. This home has our highest recommendation.

Loved watching movies in the theater room, playing pool/board games, cooking and relaxing on the gorgeous deck. . Great bedroom suites with comfortable beds and great bathrooms. Wonderful home that we all loved it. Kitchen was well stocked, gas fireplace was lovely and house was super spacious. Definitely worth the money. I can't say enough.
