Only 5 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and around 15 minutes to both Boone and Blowing Rock.
Appalachian Ski Mountain is 15 minutes away and for the golfers, Boone Golf Club just 11 minutes away, With its convenient location to all of the High Country's best attractions, you're sure to fall in love with Higher Ground!

Additional Notes:
- This home is pet friendly! Max 2 dogs that are 50lbs or less each please. Pet rent is $25+tax per pet per night.
- Check-in is after 4pm and Check-out is by 10am.
- This is a paved driveway with capacity for 3 vehicles. Accessed by a paved road that ascends at a steady incline. Home is situated at an elevation of 3900'. 4WD or AWD is recommended during winter months November-March when traveling to the High Country.
- Guests returning to Higher Ground receive a special non-stackable discount. Reach out for more details!
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.

From the initial reservation until we left, we were taken care off like family. The location was a 15 minute drive into Boone. The place itself was very clean and we liked the deck right off the family room/dining area. The neighborhood was quiet and had some great views. Liked drinking our morning coffee on the deck seeing the mountains in view. One morning we had 5 wild Turkeys in back yard. Very dog friendly as pup can hang out on the deck and soak up the sun while we are in watching football. Big back yard and great loop around the neighborhood for a walk.
