We had a wonderful stay at this Sugar Mountain house! The location was absolutely perfect- close to everything yet still quiet and peaceful. The beds were super comfortable, which made it easy to relax after long days out. The house felt very clean and well cared for, which we really appreciated. The driveway was newly paved and easy to get up and down, even in mountain conditions, which made arrivals and departures stress-free. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay and we would absolutely book again!

We had a great time at this property. We go on an annual ski vacation every year with the family and this property was a great hub for us. We enjoyed sugar and Beech and relaxed by the fire pit at night. The master bedroom downstairs and bathroom are amazing! The only thing I would say is there is not enough utensils and maybe one more trash bag so you don’t have to buy a box or bring one from home. Other than that fantastic!

We really loved the house. Cozy, private, and very clean. Super friendly management company. The only caveat is the driveway. We had two close calls with our cars sliding down it when it snowed. It is steep and has a steep drop on the side. Needs better guidance for renters on how to manage, and perhaps even provide some sand and salt if plowing services aren’t available.

We had 6 adults and plenty of room. The house is clean and trendy. It snowed and we had no issues with the driveway in an AWD. All of the main roads were salted and plowed. Had a blast at sugar mountain, which was so close. I highly recommend The Banner Elk cafe. Would definitely stay here again.

This house is very nice in so many ways! Location, cleanliness and convenience makes this a perfect place to stay. The only thing was the driveway entrance at the street. We have a dodge Durango and we scrubbed almost every time going in and out. If you read other reviews this is pretty much the only issue to this house. It was awesome having the fireplace going and seeing snowflakes fall.

We were in a great location which was convenient to almost all of the attractions in the area. Wooly worm festival was fun. Trip to grandfather mountain was breathtaking! Colors of the leaves were beautiful. My only concern was that we can into the property after dark and there were no lights on in the house which made it difficult to determine where it was on top of the hill.

Our cabin is perfect. It was clean and cozy and close to everything. We were able to make a snowman and sled right next to the house.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Everything was clean, a very warm decoration that made you feel like you were at home. It is a very quiet area but a few miles away you will find all the shops available to buy what you need and many activities to do as a family. It is definitely a magical place to relax.

Tuvimos una estancia maravillosa en esta propiedad. Todo estaba limpio, una decoración muy cálida que te hacia sentir como si estuvieras en tu casa. Es una zona muy tranquila pero a muy pocas millas de distancia encuentras todo el comercio disponible para comprar lo que necesites y muchas actividades para hacer en familia. Definitivamente es un sitio mágico para relajarse.

Adorable little mountain house that is very close to the slopes. Nicely designed, but not fancy. Really comfortable beds. Excellent Wi-Fi. I would definitely stay there again. It would be even better if they added a hot tub. Make sure you have four-wheel-drive because the driveway is extremely steep. Well appointed with some wonky aspects to the kitchen and laundry. For example, the dryer door does not open all the way because the folding doors in the way. The dishwasher is in the corner where all the cupboards are so that you can actually take the dishes out of the dishwasher and put them away easily and less you are 6 foot tall.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay on this beautiful home at Sugar Mountain. Absolutely everything you need they have and everything is very much updated and up-to-date. The downstairs master bathroom and bedroom are beautiful. And upstairs very comfortable also. We stayed with four adults and a toddler and we had plenty of space to sit, play and have fun. There are some nice trails in the neighborhood that we took advantage of. And when we needed some delicious coffee or a good lunch or dinner we just hopped in the car and in 10 to 15 minutes down the hill we had access to great coffee and barbecue. We highly recommend staying here!

Loved the property and will definitely return. Take note that the driveway is steep. My only suggestion is to fix the bottom of the driveway. No matter how hard we tried, we scuffed the bottom every time! However, we enjoyed the property so much, especially the outdoor fireplace, we will just drive the truck next time! The property owners were very detailed, kind, and great to work with.
