Daniel Boone Lodge has five bedrooms and also has one additional sleeping area.
Perched on a mountain ridge above the New River with 5 bedrooms and one additional sleeping area as well as 4-1/2 bathrooms, Daniel Boone Lodge is enjoyable throughout all seasons. During the warmer months, relax on the cool covered decks nestled high in the treetops, listening to the sounds of the New River below while taking advantage of the bench swing or rocking chairs. In colder months enjoy the vista of the neighboring mountains with the river winding back in the distant valley.
The main level has easy access into the entryway screened porch with a large gas grill, and into the spacious living room with timber and oak walls, exposed beam cathedral ceiling, and a huge stone wood-burning fireplace. It's an excellent place to gather to watch the 65” flat screen satellite TV, and blue ray player connected to wifi so you can watch netflix, Hulu, listen to Pandora, check Facebook and many other choices. High speed wireless internet is available throughout the home as well as unlimited local and long distance telephone.
The fully equipped kitchen with quartz countertops is stocked with everything a chef needs to prepare the simplest meal or a holiday feast. The dining area has seating for six with extra chairs, as well as additional seating at the kitchen table.
Also on the main level, you'll find a large suite with King bed, flat screen satellite TV, and private Jacuzzi bath and shower. This suite also has access to the deck overlooking the river.
There is another covered deck on the opposite side of the main level, just past the half bath and laundry area, that is great for going to and from the outdoor 6 person hot tub under the stars.
Upstairs you'll find a loft overlooking the main level living area, plus 3 more bedrooms. The first is a queen suite with flat screen TV and private bathroom with shower. Next is a room with a set of twin bunks and a separate single twin with a private half bath and a shared shower and tub. And third is another queen suite attached to the shared tub and shower with a private half bath and flat screen satellite TV.
The lower level has access to its own covered deck overlooking the river with plenty of seating to relax and listen to the river below. For your convenience, an electric grill is also available, plus a fire table. There you'll enjoy the large recreation room with regulation size pool table, mini-fridge and microwave, a game table for checkers or chest, puzzles and games, a dart board, and a 65” curved screen TV and bluray player, with plenty of seating including a sleeper sofa, and wood burning stove. Another room with a queen size bed is located on the lower level with private access to the lower covered deck and the river. A separate full bath with a walk-in shower is located there as well.
The nearby, New River, is one of the oldest rivers in the world and the only river in North America that flows South to North. Just a short drive from the cabin is the Big Hill Community Park, which is perfect for tubing, rafting, fishing, and more. There are outfitters who host rafting and tubing trips, as well as guided fishing trips on the New River (as well as the other nearby rivers). This is a special treat in the spring, summer and fall!

- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
-This home allows up to 4 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25.00 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
-CANCELLATION POLICY: STRICT: Cancellations 60+ days prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 60 days of arrival will not be refunded unless the dates are rebooked to another traveler.

We loved this Cabin. We come to Boone every year for a family reunion. This cabin is perfect. We will be rebooking here every year. The host is very responsive. The house is so clean and well set up. 3 families stayed for App graduate and we had a lot of room for all. House layout perfect to accommodate a large family gathering. Step driveway so carpool keep that in mind. Welcome gift left when checking into the house was thoughtful and the little bag of bathroom amenities were nice. If ever back that way will keep this place in mind. Our recent stay at Daniel Boone Lodge renting with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was a wonderful experience. The house was just as pictured with plenty of room for all. Everyone commented on how we didn't feel crowded, yet the home felt very cozy. The house was very clean upon arrival with a very well appointed kitchen. The grill was clean and worked well. Sitting on the porch and listening to the river below was very relaxing. Great place for a large family or group to stay - a great lay out and lots of places for people to congregate or hang out separately! I do recommend carpooling as much as possible as the driveway is steep but the road and driveway are both paved, so not that difficult to move the cars around.- Moira, Posted: 09/06/2022

This cabin was perfect for accommodating 6 adults and 4 children. The hot tub and pool table were both big hits with the kids! I do want to point out that the trail down to the water is quite steep and uneven. It wasn't a huge deal for most of us, but not everyone in our party was able to use it. The Daniel Boone lodge is a beautiful home, the kitchen is well appointed, and the rest of the home will leave you with nothing to be desired. There was plenty of room for our large family, with 2 toddlers, to spread out and enjoy the peaceful setting. We had a wonderful stay at the Daniel Boone Lodge. It was the perfect spot for our crew for a last minute getaway. We fit 3 families of 4 comfortably in the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, the cabin was clean and comfortable. The covered porches were perfect for sitting outside, even when it was pouring rain. Great location for a weekend visit with family and friends. We stayed at Daniel Boone Lodge for a weekend visit of the App State campus and to visit with friends. The accommodation were perfect for our group. There was enough space for everyone to get together or have some private time for themselves. We were pleased with the cleanliness and easy access. We stayed here with extended family while attending our daughter's graduation from Appalachian State University in nearby Boone. Everything was exactly as advertised.
