The home was perfect for your family, the coffee pot had some issues but they took care of it immediately. highly recommend this house!

The Dan'l Boone cabin was perfect for our big family (11 adults + a dog). It's a beautiful location, with stacked back porches that look down on the South Fork of the New River a few hundred feet below. The bedrooms were very comfy, and the hot tub and pool table were used and appreciated. The driveway is tight, but what the heck… we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

We were looking for a place big enough for 12 people and be close to the Appalachian ski resort. Even with the cold weather, we never face a hard time, it was cozy and it has everything we needed! we were able to hangout all together have some board games without any issues! thanks!

The house was so charming! Loved that there was plenty of seating for everyone and plenty of bathrooms! The weather got rough the night before we checked out and the roads were icy, as they said, 4wd definitely needed if there's going to be snow/ice during your stay. We had 7 kids and 4 adults and we all enjoyed the stay!

This house was perfect for our large family. We loved having a pool table and an area to hang out in downstairs. The fireplace was so nice!! We never made it into the hot tub but my husband did take a peak at it when we got there and it was clean and the water was warm. The house itself was very clean. I wish the kitchen cabinets were a bit updated. It was difficult to get pots and pans in and out but it was manageable. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes, bowls, glasses, and silverware. Our welcome bag included Girl Scout cookies and you just can’t get any better than that!! We loved the privacy and peacefulness of this home. Each bedroom had an electric heater which was very cozy. It also had a generous supply of blankets. Communication was great! We were even able to check in an hour early which was very nice. We would definitely stay here again and recommend highly.

Loved the clear directions. The place looked just like in the pictures. High mountain expeditions was just 4 mins away on Castle Ford Road and they offer tubing, kayaking, or canoeing dow the river. We had a group of 10 family members and the 5 bedrooms were plenty. There were plenty of towels as well.
The neighborhood is private and very quiet and safe. However, there is really no place to walk since the beautiful homes are built on steep inclines. We could not make out any trail to go down to the river. It would have been nice. But, like I said above , a 4-min drive will get you to river.
The home was spotless inside. The basement has a bedrom and is the game room.
Areas of improvement for future guests : The outside furniture was dirty. The shower curtain in the master bedroom was pink with mold at the bottom and smelled bad.
The managemet was responsive and helped on things we brought up. Excellent communication.

3 families stayed for App graduate and we had a lot of room for all. House layout perfect to accommodate a large family gathering. Step driveway so carpool keep that in mind. Welcome gift left when checking into the house was thoughtful and the little bag of bathroom amenities were nice. If ever back that way will keep this place in mind. Not far from App.

Our recent stay at Daniel Boone Lodge renting with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was a wonderful experience. The house was just as pictured with plenty of room for all. Everyone commented on how we didn't feel crowded, yet the home felt very cozy. The house was very clean upon arrival with a very well appointed kitchen. The grill was clean and worked well. Sitting on the porch and listening to the river below was very relaxing. We will definitely consider staying at this home again and will most definitely use Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals.

Great place for a large family or group to stay - a great lay out and lots of places for people to congregate or hang out separately! I do recommend carpooling as much as possible as the driveway is steep but the road and driveway are both paved, so not that difficult to move the cars around.

This was a wonderful house for our two families (including our adult children). Loved the location and the secluded setting. That driveway is no joke though... We had nice weather but had there been snow, there would be no navigating it without 4-wheel drive cars. The management company did caution us on that!

This cabin was perfect for accommodating 6 adults and 4 children. The hot tub and pool table were both big hits with the kids! I do want to point out that the trail down to the water is quite steep and uneven. It wasn't a huge deal for most of us, but not everyone in our party was able to use it. Just something for travelers to keep in mind if the trail is a selling point. Overall, a great location for a large group. I highly recommend!

Our stay here was great! We enjoyed the hot tub and the view and even made new friends! The request for wood was denied as they said we needed to call a week prior to stay to get extra wood but we didn’t know we’d need more than what was provided. Overall our stay was great and we definitely enjoyed ourselves!

My family and I enjoyed the time we spend there . Wish I would have made a longer trip cause we did not want to leave. Only thing is you said there was a path to get to the river. It look like there might have been one. Some of my family tried to go down there but it was to hard. Be everything else we loved

The cabin was well stocked and very nice inside. The bedrooms and bathrooms made it the perfect space for a group of friends to getaway for the weekend. The hot tub was nice, as was the pool table. The kitchen was well stocked and the entire experience was very nice. The driveway is hard to find and very steep, but we found it! The only other negative was that the floors are not insulated and are very thin, so you can hear everything when you are in the master bedroom or the queen room above it. Overall, a very sweet little cabin with a lovely view of the river. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the water with our morning coffee. Would definitely come again!

Booking was simple and the accommodations exceeded our expectations! We absolutely loved everything about the Daniel Boone Lodge. The rental agency made it very easy for us to check in and out. I booked this for a group from our church and we all loved it! We plan on going again.

Great location for a weekend visit with family and friends. We stayed at Daniel Boone Lodge for a weekend visit of the App State campus and to visit with friends. The accommodation were perfect for our group. There was enough space for everyone to get together or have some private time for themselves. We were pleased with the cleanliness and easy access. Our family will definitely use Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals when we visit again.

We stayed here with extended family while attending our daughter's graduation from Appalachian State University in nearby Boone. Everything was exactly as advertised. We had great morning walks and enjoyed the hot tub in the cool mountain nights. Nice decorating touches with a rustic mountain motif (love the bears)...
