This is a great cabin. It’s remote, but still just two-ish miles from stores, coffee, and a great bar/restaurant (Booneshine Brewing). If you like to cook, I recommend that you bring a sharp knife—the ones provided will not cut warm butter.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are well appointed. The wrap-around decks make for great evenings. Finally, this cabin has a great hot tub that easily accommodates 4+ people.
Our teenagers really enjoyed having what amounted to their own living room downstairs, but noted several times that both of the available televisions are quite small.
The road up to driveway is quite steep, as is the driveway itself. If you’re coming in the winter, and there is any snow or ice at all, you will have challenges if you are not prepared.

Perfect house for a family. Each room has its own bathroom and the ping pong table was a huge hit! Hot tub key was a little tricky to find (it’s hanging on a stick by the back door)

Great view! Especially from the jacuzzi! Fussball table, ping pong table, and some interesting books! Plenty of space and very clean. The road up to the cabin is pretty steep and all gravel. Looks a little scary when driving a non 4 wheel drive vehicle, but my Camry did just fine. Food Lion is just down the road. I highly recommend this place

This was our first time staying here. The place was very clean, no bugs, the views were fantastic, and layout, great.
Biggest negative, a few of the dresser drawers and hallway drawer easily fall out when you open them.

Beautiful cabin! We arrived a little after dark and it was a little difficult seeing while going up the hill after all of the rain but we made it! The hot tub was waiting on us when we got there and was amazing in the cold weather! Had an amazing time! We grilled steaks the first night there and enjoyed the playing foosball also!

Amazing house with a phenomenal view. Amenities were top quality and everything was super clean. Close enough to Blowing Rock for dinner and activities, but tucked away enough for peace and quiet. 10/10!

Enjoyed the views and spacious decks. The internet was adequate for two kids to do virtual school while we were visiting. House is a short drive to downtown, but feels completely isolated once you are home. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

My family and I love the cabin's beautiful open-floor plan, which allows us to easily communicate with each other from any room. The deck off the master bed is perfect place for our morning coffee and reflection. We hung out there before going on our daily hikes and water activities. Thank you for providing this lovely place for us to stay in while visiting the mountains! We are looking forward for our return in the Fall

Wonderful lodge to enjoy views no matter whether inside or out! Loved the floor plan of home. Plenty of space for everyone to be in an open area but doing many different things! We enjoyed the many different seating areas on deck, hot tub with views & amenities. The location to downtown Boone & all activities is a huge plus. Would definitely stay at Chestnut Lodge again!

Comfortable cabin with owner attention to detail. Nice view from the back of the house. A little worm. Seriously needs some coat hooks/coat storage at the entry. Really nice to have on-suite baths with each room. Hard to make temperature upstairs and down comfortable at the same time. We all had fun with the foosball and ping pong. And great to be close to good hiking trails.

We stayed at Chestnut Lodge in Boone, NC in late June 2019. I found the house to be equipped as-advertised, perfectly cleaned, and ideally prepped for our stay.
Likewise, all my interactions with Blue Ridge were pleasant. They responded to my emails quickly, and did everything expected to ensure we had a pleasant stay.

Wonderful experience with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. This was the first time we had used them for renting a house, and we would absolutely do it again. The house was clean, beautiful, and exceeded our expectations. Had one glitch with the instructions for how to remove the cover on the hot tub, but they immediately responded to our email with the steps required.

Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were wonderful to work with. I called to make my reservation over the phone and they were very courteous and patient with my questions. They allowed us to check in and out at the cabin even though it was an old fashioned key and not a code. We stayed at the Chesnut Lodge cabin and it far exceeded its description. It was very clean and well maintained. The views were beautiful. We traveled with three couples and children. We loved that every room had its own bathroom. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and we never felt cramped. We would rent again!!

The house was very cozy and homey! Each bedroom had it's own bathroom which was great when we were all getting ready for the day. Hot tub was a wonderful relaxing end of day family thing. The view was amazing, you felt secluded in the cabin, but you were only 10 mins from Boone and 15 from Blowing Rock! The only draw back was the car races that took place on Saturday. If we have know we would have stayed at the cabin for the morning and gone out for the afternoon & evening, when the races took place. It was loud and could be heard even inside the cabin. Other than that the trip was wonderfully relaxing! We would do it again for sure!

This cabin is great! We had 6 of our family that stayed there. Two of them were our mothers, with each bedroom having bathrooms....made it perfect! The cabin was very clean and the hot tub had a beautiful view and had lights! Great place, great customer service! Look at the view!

We had a wonderful experience at Chestnut Lodge. It was one of the most relaxing weekends we've had in a long time. We spent most of the lazy hours in from of the fireplace with wonderful friends and family. The set up was perfect with other family we joined in Boone. We also went skiing at Appalachian Mountain Ski lodge, which was fairly close, and also hit up Hawksnest. Boone has a great atmosphere with fun dining and shops. We will definitely do it again! Everything was wonderful. This is a beautiful cabin and certainly not "roughing it". When nothing else was going on i could watch TV or sit on the 180 degree porch that overlooked the mountain side. The kitchen is fully equipped. there is a washer/dryer should you need one. And the place is absolutely clean clean clean. This is the 4th time we stayed and we will be back next spring.
