Description
Welcome to Carolina Lookout!

Experience the privacy and long-range views with this mountainside cabin. With four levels, your group can comfortably spread out for quiet time, or all come together. Enter on the main level to the open living room with a large sectional around the gas log fireplace.  The kitchen is newly renovated with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. Guests have their choice of a standard coffee pot or Keurig to start the day. Breakfast may be at the dining table inside, or step outside to the decks and take in the layered, mountain views spanning for miles. There is a king bedroom with smart TV on the main level, and a full bathroom featuring a shower directly across the hall. Head upstairs to the loft with a Smart TV and full over full bunk-- perfect for the children! Nearby is a queen suite another smart TV. This bathroom has double vanities, a tub, and shower.

Heading down, the first lower level starts with a sitting area and full sleeper sofa. There is a full bathroom with a shower for guests on this level. The King bedroom has a smart TV and fabulous mountain views. The lowest level of the home has a second space with large screen TV, seating, and a poker table for the adults. The exterior door leads to the firepit and lower level decking featuring the massive, salt water hot tub.


Additional Notes:

- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. 
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- This property is pet friendly with a $25 per day, per dog fee. 
- Please observe a quiet hour of 10PM as there are full time residents nearby. 
- AWD or 4WD vehicles are required during winter months and recommended year round. Snow chains may also be required in time of snow accumulation. 
- Parking space for up to 3 vehicles. 
- All 3 TVs are smart and offer streaming capabilities (no cable package)

Stunning views, great location!
Four floors allows you to spread out, and I could sit on the porch all day with those views (spring, before leaves were up)

We thought it was a great cabin
The AC in the downstairs bedroom
did not work and the wifi/ tv was terrible. I would suggest StarLink.

We spent a week in this cabin and felt right at home. The views of the mountains are incredible. The host was very responsive to our questions and quickly solved a couple of issues.

The view is pretty unbeatable while still being really easy to get into Boone! Truly feels like the best of both worlds. We were able to relax and unwind at the cabin with a feeling of getting away and also found it super easy to pop into town if we needed anything! Would definitely come back pretty much any season.

This house is amazing and very peaceful! So many sleeping spaces, incredible views, extremely quiet but only a short drive to downtown Boone and many trails. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend for any group, small or big.

Had a wonderful stay at this airbnb with a group of friends. Hot tub and fire pit were great amenities, large comfortable beds and couches, games and toiletries all provided. Host was helpful and responsive and can’t beat the price, highly recommend!

Easy access to downtown Boone and it still offers an amazing view. They have essentially everything you need to have an awesome getaway. Very happy with the house and the customer service. Quick to respond and very hospitable. Thanks again!

Fantastic visit. Beautiful views with some light flurries of snow made this trip Incredible. What a wonderful property with lots of space 15 minutes from everything. Would definitely return.

Great location and space. The only downside was that the WiFi was down and the hot tub was out of order. We did not get any alerts about the hot tub, but received instructions on how to manage the securement device and general rules. Otherwise, fantastic airbnb and would book again.

The main floor with the east facing balcony was incredibly accommodating ! We had windows and doors open with screens the whole time and our souls were at peace for the duration. The jacuzzi was perfectly placed and we used it every day!! Just Wow!

We had a weekend getaway with a group of friends and the Carolina Lookout was absolutely perfect. So cozy and relaxing- and a very quick drive to downtown Boone. The hot tub was perfect for the cold weekend we had. We got snow and ice and they very nicely accommodated us by giving us a late checkout time (without us even having to ask) so we could leave safely after the roads had been treated.
But be prepared for a good little workout climbing up and down all the stairs during your stay! Lol
And if you’re looking for a place to eat our group HIGHLY recommends The Local, in Boone. It was delicious.

We had a wonderful weekend at Carolina Lookout, including an unexpected snow storm! The house is stunning - exactly what you would want for a mountain getaway! We had 7 girls and felt we had plenty of space. Loved the hot tub!! And the views were insane!!!!!!!!
A word of warning - you definitely need 4WD to reach the house! They are not kidding about that!
We are already hoping to stay again next year :))

We stayed here for family weekend and had a great time. The house is ideally located only 4 miles from the university. The house has a wonderful view of the mountains that unfortunately was blocked by foggy weather for most of our trip :( I would recommend having 4 wheel drive if staying here, especially in winter months
