Overall the stay was lovely. Close access to the river and the hot tub were a lot of fun. There's also a bar barn through the field across the bridge that was a lovely place to adventure. Only cons were we requested an air mattress which was not there, the mail toilet was finicky, and a nail in the porch sticking up. Maintenance did come and fix most things though. (Mgt. note - we appreciate this guest working with our team to address these issues before and after their stay.)

We had a lovely relaxing stay. We loved the proximity to the river and the ability to hear it from the porch. Having the hot tub and fire pit gave us different areas to relax in. The cabin is on the corner next to the bridge but although it was pretty busy during the day it did not affect our enjoyment of our stay. We got plenty of waves and the evenings were quieter. The cabin had all we could ask for and we enjoyed every minute. Would definitely come back!!

We loved staying here for our spring break week. We enjoyed the bedrooms and the two older kids loved the loft area. The home was clean and well maintained, aside from some sub floor issues in the hallway but that didn't affect our stay. The hot tub was nice and we enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the deer and fishermen. The area was nice and quiet. I didn't realize how close by the road and other homes would be, but it was still very quiet and relaxing. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Loved the cabin and location! Right on the river with beautiful views. Close to the ski resorts… we went to Sugar mountain (15 minute drive or so) very close to Boone and the amenities. Our dog loved it and enjoyed the multiple deer running nearby! The hot tub was great! We did stay during a weather event and it was nice to see the snowplows and brining trucks going right by. The roads were fine! Tough to see the debris from the hurricane… happy to bring back some life to the area!!! We did try to fish but no luck… ecosystem changes understood but we gave it a try anyway. I will say the cabin advertised a gas grill… the grill was present but the propane tank was not. The towels were sparse… 4 total for the 3 of us… we used the washer and dryer frequently… plenty of paper products for a 3 day trip. I did bring some but didn’t need them. Also brought laundry detergent which I used but didn’t need the dish detergent. All in all, we had a great time!

Everything about the experience, and the cabin, was excellent. Quick response when I needed to add a dog to the reservation; photos that undersell the actual cabin; immediate and proactive action on a minor problem that was totally outside their control.

Bridgepoint Cabin is in a great location, only 3 minutes from the Mast General Store, and the Mast Annex Store. We enjoyed the wrap around porch, as well as seeing many deer early mornings, and late evenings, that would walk into the cabin yard. Also the cabin is right on the Watauga River, and easy access for fishing. The cabin was fully stocked with all the amenities needed making our weeks stay enjoyable.

The property was in a great location. It is busy on the bridge as it’s a well traveled road but it would not stop me from coming back. Lots of fishing on the bridge but fun to watch. You can put a tube in and float down to the valle crucis park which was so fun! The hot tub was removed from the property but Blue Ridge Mountain rentals was amazing to work with and making things right on that end. I got numerous emails making sure we were all set with our stay and would definitely be back!

Spent 3 relaxing nights in this cozy log cabin on the Watauga River near the Mast Farm inn. Cabin was very comfortable and quiet… and convenient to all the things we wanted to do.

The cabin is in a very remote, peaceful setting... However there are restaurants in close proximity. This is a beautiful part of our country. We enjoyed Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and viewing Linville while we were here for a weekend.

The cabin was wonderful! It was clean and well-stocked with essentials. The corner lot is right by a one lane bridge over the river. It’s a lovely view. Travelers with small children should note that the ladder to the loft is quite steep - there’s excellent handrails and tread on the steps, but little feet may falter. Also, the back yard drops steeply to the street and river, and not all cars drive slowly despite the narrow bridge. These are not critiques of the beautiful property, just useful notes for parents!

We had a great trip! We have always loved that area so when we found this house it was perfect! It was close (half a mile) to our favorite park Valle Crucis Community park and Mast general store! Also Over yonder restaurant was good too. It had what we needed for our family. Fishing at the river in front of the house for my husband, pet friendly for our small doodle who loved it, my daughter loved the loft, and I loved the hot tub. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home for other families to make wonderful memories in the beautiful mountains:))

Had some issues with a rental and found this company that helped us tremendously. Got us in an acceptable rental that was great. Right on the river and tons of deer. Quiet and peaceful. Little bridge in front gives hours of entertainment but is unlit at night so it quiets down. Perfect.

Cabin was comfy and clean. It was conveniently located to all the things we like to do in the area - Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, gem mining, Grandfather Vineyard, and more. Next time I'll look for a cottage a little further away from the bridge where folks stop to fish. This cabin's front yard is a popular fishing spot/bridge, so we didn't have front porch / hot tub / camp fire/ chair-sitting privacy and quiet.

First time going to mountain side of N.C. We loved it! Bridgepoint worked perfect for our family of 4. Everything we needed was there. Being right on the river was perfect, our boys 14 and 16 enjoyed fishing everyday. The hot tub was great and nice to have campfires at night. Lots to do if you love to be outdoors like my family. Great hikes, great mountain biking, zip lining, fishing and the Mast General a mile down the road is an added bonus to visit! Great location overall!

Great, little cozy cabin! Loved being footsteps away from the river, that’s why we chose the place. My kids enjoyed fishing and playing in the river. We took advantage of the fire pit and enjoyed lots of hot dogs & s’mores! Great location and close to a lot of the tourist spots. We had a wonderful time in the mountains and enjoyed our stay! Thanks for the beautiful memories! (FYI-when entering the driveway, go slowly and hug the right; exiting the driveway, hug the left because there’s a big hole and cars can get scraped easily.)

This cabin was amazing! The location was perfect for everything! We were able to do all the hiking we wanted to - Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Crab Orchard Falls and Otter Falls. We spent one day skiing at Sugar Mountain. The vineyards were great stops on the way home. The river right in the front yard made for a perfect relaxing day, we caught (and released) several rainbow trout. My son loved that! The cabin was so cozy and had everything we needed. Blue Ridge PM was great with contacting us to make sure everything was running smoothly and if we needed anything we had no trouble connecting with them through phone or email. Would definitely stay again this is a great place!

We loved our stay at Bridgepoint Cabin. The location felt off-the-beaten track, but was very convenient to Boone, snow tubing, and skiing. The cabin was a great layout for our family. Our two children, 6 and 11, enjoyed staying in the open loft; my youngest is a climber so we were comfortable with him going up and down the loft stairs, but they could be a bit precarious for younger guests. Downstairs there are two bedrooms and two baths and a great room with a super comfortable living area, a kitchen with everything we needed (we did bring our own electric griddle for pancakes - hint, hint), and a dining area. We really enjoyed the cabin motif! Unfortunately the hot tub was not working for our stay but we were informed of this ahead of time. Check-in and check-out procedures were very simple and organized. We would definitely consider this cabin for another getaway in the future!

My friend and I went on our first “girls trip” and we had a great time! The cabin is beautiful (inside/out), very cozy, comfortable; and clean. The hot tub was clean and very relaxing to sit and listen to the river. We greatly enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the beautiful scenery! We loved the fishing area! There were a lot of trout...they just weren't biting that day. Haha but with scenery like that, it didn't matter. The only things that I didn't know...and maybe somehow I overlooked it, was that the privacy is a row trees between cabins. There are about 5 cabins lining the river bank. We had the corner lot, right at the little bridge, and the trees between the houses, but, It was still quiet. There was a little more traffic than I would've thought, but it was kinda nice talking to more skilled fishermen that stopped and gave me pointers. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back again!

We stayed for a couple of nights to attend our sons last regular season lacrosse game at Lee’s McRae. We normally stay in Banner Elk but thought we would give Valle Crucis a try. SO glad we did! Quiet, peaceful and enjoyable. The cabin is adorable. The river is fantastic! The road was busier than we were expecting. Hot tub is older but serves its purpose. The neighborhood is quiet. Quite a few fisherman appeared. Plenty of grass to play with kids and pets and plenty of parking. The only drawbacks were that the cabin is a bit dark and could really use some additional lighting. And the King bed is not very comfortable, I ended up sleeping on the sofa.

Absolutely loved our stay. The house and property were fantastic, scenic, clean and well maintained. The decor was rustic and felt very homey and comfortable. The porch was so relaxing and where we spent most of our time. The only complaint that we have is that the propane tank for the outdoor grill was empty. We arrived packed with food for a bbq, which turned out to be a fail as a result of no propane. Otherwise this place was perfect and would strongly consider staying again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. Although it was closer to a fairly well traveled road and I was not anticipating that. The river was wonderful and we so enjoyed relaxing on the porch and hearing the water run. We also saw quite a few people fly fishing. The location was perfect for our daily excursions. The decor was cute and the cabin was just the right size for our party of three. We never needed the loft. All in all a great weekend.

First, I would like to give a shout out to the mangement company. They were always available, quick to respond to address paperwork issues, delivered firewood, and were very pleasant. Second, the cabin itself is great. Located right next to the river, nice fire pit and an outdoor spa. It also had a nice little grill that we used one night. There were a couple opportunities. We found the grill fork outside on the furniture that had not been washed. I probably wouldn’t bring it up, but we had small children with us and I was just happy I found it before them. Also, the driveway has a lot hole in it right at the top of a big slope that causes us to bottom out on the first night when we arrived. It was hard to see in the dark. It can be filled in with rocks. Third, because it rained a couple days, the area around the fire pit was really muddy. Might be good to rock off that entire area as well. That made it difficult to not track in dirt/mud.

We throroughly enjoyed our stay at Bridgepoint Cabin. Although the weather was rainy a few days, we enjoyed the time reconnecting with family, playing board games. We ventured out to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Caverns & Falls. We made several trips to Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. the sound of the river was so very peaceful. A bonfire on the last evening warmed our souls. The cabin was comfortable and cozy. We were able cook in the cabin a couple nights and grilled out one day. The cabin had everything we needed. Even high speed internet for those that had to work a few days. We’ll definitely be back!

On the inside, the house is large enough to seat two families--esp with the loft. My two boys, wife and I (and dog) had plenty of space. The evenings were quiet and I also had the best nap I've had in years. I did not bring my rods to fish, but there were a ton of trout hanging out under the bridge. Just very peaceful. What a cozy little cabin. Coming in from Boone, the road gets a little interesting before you reach the cabin. Paved road, curvy, but yo u def. need 4WD if it gets snowed over. Overall, our visit was wonderful! We enjoyed the view of the river from the front porch! Saw deer, geese, and wild turkeys throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the cabin was good, but disposal in kitchen did not work properly. That was reported and I believe fixed. The fireplace, FABULOUS! It generated the heat and we really enjoyed the coziness of the cabin during the snow fall! We requested a garbage pickup as I pickup was provided due to a holiday and this was responded to promptly. Bottom line: Loved it!

This cabin was a perfect location. It is road side and the river is right in the front yard. You can easily drop your kayaks in and go. The house was equipped with everything you could need minus a spatula for the pancakes but we made it work with what we had. We are considering the same cabin next year. Excellent cabin and even better location.

The cabin was cozy and as pictured on the sight. Close to lots of activities for the kids. Overall a wonderful getaway with family. The only thing I would change is the location so close to the road/bridge with children it made me nervous- though we had no issues at all. It was a gorgeous cabin with everything we needed to feel right at home.

The cabin was very comfortable. It is located on a peaceful and beautiful lot just steps away from the Watauga River. The cabin and lot look exactly like the pictures in the rental description. This was a great cabin we were able to check in early, it was a great location. We enjoyed walking along the creek and even crossed the creek and walked back. A few of us even took the tube out and tubed a little in the river, seeing since we couldn't find any where to go snow tubing. We also took advantage of the hot tub and fire pit. We will definitely rent this cabin every time we want to go to the mountains.

Beautiful cabin over looking the river. Hot tub, grill, very well appointed kitchen with everything you need. Visited the area to ski Beech Mountain for the first time. Weather did not cooperate much so we'll be going back later this season and hopefully can stay here again.

My family and I stayed at Bridgepoint Cabin for four nights, 8/18-8/22. It was our first trip to the Banner Elk/Boone area and we could not have chosen a better cabin for our needs. We're already thinking of booking again for a winter trip at some point soon to see the area during a different season.

The cabin is well-appointed and decorated in a warm, rustic, High Country décor. The heat and A/C work well, the jacuzzi a lovely enhancement on the outside deck. Fully stocked kitchen supplies, wi-fi, plenty of towels, local information, comfy beds, coffee, fireplace, hot tub, tasteful decor, plenty of hot water, and everything in between. My boys (10 and 7) really loved cuddling with the teddy bears that were laying around and really loved the loft bedroom. It was cold when we arrived but the heat warmed up quickly and it was SO cozy! We sat in the hot tub every night, cooked lunches and dinners, and had coffee on the porch while listening to the river. We took a drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the fall colors, took the kids to the trout farm where my 10-year-old caught a 3-lb Rainbow Trout. (They cleaned it for us and so we were able to have it for dinner, which was fun for the kids!) We fished in the river in front of the cabin until the cold front came through. Had a great dinner at Over Yonder and of course visited the Mast General Store and the House of Jerky. The kids didn't ask for their phones/iPads or to watch TV even one time! They both came away saying "Best weekend EVER!" The cabin itself is much more beautiful and cozy in person than the photos depict. And the location is fantastic. We'll definitely be back!
