We loved our Christmas stay at Boulder Springs Lodge in Eagles Nest! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The owners added a festive Christmas tree plus other decorations that brought extra warmth and holiday cheer, making us feel right at home instantly.
The super comfortable bedding, media room with wet bar, stunning mountain and stream views, plus the peaceful sound of the nearby springs made it even better. It’s conveniently close to the main gate. The owners were quick to respond and incredibly helpful, turning our holiday into something truly special.
5 stars all the way for this perfect mountain escape!

Everything was absolutely wonderful! We had such a great time and truly appreciated how much space there was, perfect for our group of four families. It never felt crowded, and everyone was able to relax and enjoy themselves.
The views were incredible, and the home was so comfortable, especially the beds and couches! I even found myself checking for a label on the couches because I’d love to have one back in Florida 😊
We also loved how convenient everything was, especially having the Dollar General nearby, it came in handy more than once!
From our perspective, you really thought of everything. Definitely a 10/10 experience and we would absolutely love to come back!

This home was the most well stocked home we've ever rented. The kids, grown and not so grown, loved their bunk room spaces and game room away from the adults. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub! The nearby convenience store was super helpful as were all the fun activities at Eagle's Nest. We played games, worked puzzles, and had another fabulous family reunion…best weekend of the whole year!

Boulder Creek is a huge house. I was initially nervous because our bridesmaids and groomsmen, plus their significant others were staying together in one home. Normally when you try to book a house large enough to fit everyone, the bedrooms end up being smaller, with a bunch of bunk beds just shoved together. Boulder Creek is not that. Each bedroom was large enough for all of our luggage, and plenty of room to move around. Even the bunk rooms in the basement were nice! The bunk beds themselves were tall, meaning the bottom bunk wasn't claustrophobic, and the ceilings were also high so the top bunk has plenty of room to sit up - even for adults.
The beds in the bedrooms were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in while staying in a rental. They were not the typical hotel-style-firm mattresses. And, the bedding itself was insanely comfortable. Our bedroom even had a heated blanket (which we didn't need, unfortunately). There was also plenty of space for keeping your things, dressers/etc.
The one issue that we had occurred on our first morning when we woke up with no water. There was a system fault, and the water automatically shut off due to a leak from one of the toilets. I called the company at 6:40am, and by 11:30am they sent out their tech, Peanut, who had it fixed within 30 minutes of arriving. We had absolutely no other issues for the remainder of our visit, but I'm sure if we had, Peanut would have taken care of us!
Most of the time when you rent a home for a vacation, you aren't sure what appliances will be available. Boulder Creek has them all. Coffee grinder, drip coffee pot, Keurig, crock pots, cast iron skillets, tea kettle, plates/bowls/cups of all shapes and sizes, and every cooking utensil imaginable. We had everything we could possibly need and then some! If it wasn't in the kitchen, it was in the butler pantry. Oh, yes, they have two refrigerators! Full, with freezers in both. The only downside of the kitchen was that I couldn't bring it home with me.
The carpet and furniture in the home felt like clouds!! Even the dining chairs were comfy enough for us to sit around the table for hours talking and playing games. No back pain here!
The linens provided were also thick and nice, no thin towels that could only be used once. The only thing I would suggest is leaving more towels, but we just did our own laundry and were able to wash them and share. The cool thing was that there were special towels provided for the hot tub so we didn't have to use our shower towels for that!
Speaking of the hot tub - holy cow! An 8-person hot tub with bluetooth, lights that change, different jet settings, and a view to die for. Easy to use touch-screen, and there are instructions in the provided binder on how to open it/hook up to the bluetooth.
There are multiple fire pits available, and the best part was that fire wood was provided for the entire stay. Most places will leave one or two sets of wood. Boulder Creek had enough to keep us going all weekend and then some. The indoor fireplace is electric, and there is a gas one outside the master bedroom.
Overall, we had a difficult time leaving Boulder Creek, and are anxious to return again. From the booking to checking out, everything was very smooth and we cannot express enough how much we enjoyed our stay!

We had a fabulous time at Boulder Creek in Eagles Nest this past March! Thank you everyone at Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for making our stay there so comfortable! Thank you too for the goodies! They were delicious.
We love this home! We've stayed at others on the mountain, but once we found this one, we keep coming back. This year is our 4th year at Boulder Creek. The layout of this home is perfect for our family. We have many favorites in this home. Here's a few. The sitting area by the kitchen with the fireplace is very cozy. Coffee seems to taste better in one of the comfy chairs. Plus, it gives us extra space so we can all be together while others are cooking in the kitchen. The chairs for the island are comfortable too. Another favorite is the outside sitting area across from the dining room that has a wood burning fireplace. The couch out there is perfect for napping by the fire or just relaxing any time of day. It's a nice cozy place for our family to sit, relax, talk and laugh!
I could go on and on, but will close saying that the owner of this home is awesome! Our family has grown over the past few years. When the owner found out a little one would be joining us, he added all the infant, baby and toddler items we needed to accommodate the new addition to our family. That was so nice of him. It made our stay so much easier, plus we didn't have to lug these items around while traveling. We were very touched by his kindness and thoughtfulness. He has always gone above and beyond to ensure our stay is perfect! We are very grateful we found this home and look forward to returning! I am sure anyone who stays at Boulder Creek will enjoy it as much as we do!

My family has used Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for quite a few years now. The staff is very professional, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. We have no complaints at all. They are a phone call away and assist promptly if there is a problem or issue at a vacation home rental. We have stayed in Eagles Nest in Banner Elk NC for most of our annual vacations. The last three years we have stayed at the beautiful Boulder Creek Cabin. It has been by far our most favorite home to spend our annual family vacation. This year we were blessed with an addition to our family. When the owner of Boulder Creek found out we were bringing a baby, he added all the necessary baby items to the amenities of his home. You can't ask for a more wonderful home owner. It made our stay so easy and my niece very happy. Another wonderful feature added this year is the Dollar General Store. This is a beautiful and immaculate home. There was plenty of space for our group of 21. The hosts were very responsive as well. We enjoyed the stunning views from the balcony as well as the well appointed home. Highly recommend! We hope to return soon.

Checking in: Checking in was very easy. VRBO address and address at check in email were different. Address on email does not show up on GPS so make sure you follow the driving directions on the email once you get up on the mountain. Location: The house is a short 15 minute drive into town and a 5 minute walk into the great camp. There were plenty of fun things to do at the camp for everyone (though a lot is closed during the wonter). If you are going in the winter make sure you take a car that's 4x4 or AWD! The driveway is steep and even though they salt the roads the drive up and down the mountain was challenging after a big snow fall. House: The house is gorgeous, so many unique details and hidden surprises. The house is just as pictured, the kitchen had everything we needed and more! The kids had the two bunk bed rooms and living space downstairs and were in heaven! They loved the trains and all the family games. There is plenty of usable outdoor space which was great for us as we got two winter storms during our stay. Overall, we loved our stay and cannot wait to plan our next one. We would highly recommend it!

Our executive team used Boulder Creek for our annual planning retreat, and the house was absolutely beautiful, cleaned and prepared for our arrival perfectly, and Blue Ridge Rentals was a pleasure to work with throughout. The cabin was stunning. The kitchen and dining room was big enough for the entire family to enjoy. The outside fireplace was amazing and made it easy too start with the gas hook up. The workout room was an added bonus. We will be back.

This rental was an absolute dream. There was more than enough space for our entire family (21 people) to sleep comfortably - but that's not really my focus here. This. Cabin. Is. Everything. The kitchen was beyond stocked with all you could need to cook with, the plethora of TVs (perfect for football weekends), the views (be still my heart) and the decks - it was just beyond perfect. Not to mention the fun family kickball game at the field located a short walk away. My family's weekend away at this lovely rental might have saved 2020 for us. It was THAT amazing. Thank you for a beyond perfect weekend!
