Beautiful home with mountainous views and the trickle of the nearby creek set a relaxing tone. Kitchen is stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans and other things you could need for cooking. The grill worked great too. Everything was clean and some firewood was provided. The cabin is uniquely built and lovely to look at. Lots of space. Hot tub was great. Claw bathtub in the upstairs primary was clutch. Bring bubble bath or epsom salt. Lighting was a bit dim in some rooms but would definitely stay again. Highly recommend shopping at the Dollar General in the neighborhood. It’s the first cashless store w NO employee. It was very cool. If you eat at the restaurant in the neighborhood, remember to respect the dress code or you will feel underdressed. Would stay again.

Our stay was wonderful! We came for a short family getaway. The views of the mountains were spectacular. Big Bear Lodge and Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were both fantastic.
Blue Ridge has exceptional communication from start to finish. From the moment we reserved our spot until the day we left, Blue Ridge communicated constantly with directions, check in, check out procedures, area attractions, Eagles Nest information and more. We had one small issue with the hot tub. Someone came out almost immediately and took care of the issue.
The house was fabulous and was exactly as advertised.
We will use Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals on our next visit to the High Country!

This cabin is huge but still cozy. Great layout for a bigger family. Our teen loved having her own master suite. Our younger children enjoyed hide and seek around the home. The owner called us about a critter issue after hearing about it from the rental company (it is the mountains after all) she was very kind and concerned. The rental company, however, was a little frustrating. We asked to extend our stay and was told the property was available. We made plans to do so and then found out from the rental agency that it actually wasn’t possible. Very annoying after hiring a pet sitter and rental vehicle ( needed AWD) for extra time. We got snowed it for a day and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to be stuck. Gorgeous views and great family bonding.

Magnificent home and view. Bedding and floors were clean but the home is in need of a deep cleaning ( dirty dishes on arrival and surfaces very dusty) Pets are allowed in this home, and we did take our small dog… which was nice for us as he is apart of the family. With pets being allowed it is evident that some pets have been had accidents in the home and they haven’t been cleaned up correctly as the carpeted areas and entrance to the home smell musty and like animal urine. Overall once we cleaned the home to make ourselves feel more comfortable, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a blast staying here!! Everything on property was just as advertised. Disappointed in VRBO’s description of location. The map that you click on to view this location is not close to where this house is at all!! VRBO needs to correct this and provide a more accurate location. This house is located closer to Banner Elk. Again great accommodations and house!! But location was very misrepresented!!

Pictures don't do this house justice. Everything about the house was exceptional. Only issue we had was the dishwasher not working properly but that didn't affect our trip at all. We will definitely be back to Big Bear Lodge!

This property was amazing! Stocked full of all you need for your stay. If you enjoy art Eagles Nest community will touch your soul. Property was extremely clean but there was some pet toys and other things under the kitchen table that would have been hard for the cleaning crew to see. Amazing views and plenty of spots to sit and savor the beauty. I will be back.
