Beech Haven thought of every detail to make it enjoyable and fun for a family to get together and enjoy games inside as well as outside. The property is beautiful and the house is amazing and well kept! We enjoyed every minute! Plus, it is very convenient to downtown Banner Elk!

Our family can't stop talking about how wonderful our weekend was at Beech Haven! Every detail to make it comfortable, inviting, entertaining and charming was well thought of by Beech Haven for our weekend. A whole day of games was perfect for all (ages ranging from 20-87)! We started with Pickelball, then off to corn hole, followed by indoor games of ping pong, pool, shuffleboard, and shut the box! The owners provided us with wonderful food and dining options. We all enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning listening to the birds while enjoying the view We can't wait to come back!

Our family of 12 absolutely loved Beech Haven. The property had so many places to be together as a family or have some quiet solo time. There was just about anything you could think of for your stay provided. The location was excellent for seeing surrounding areas. Would definitely stay here again

We loved the property! Location location location, only a few minutes from downtown, very easy access to everything. Best part was the size, plenty of room for the holidays with 2 families. The house was decorated for the holidays, which was a huge plus. The home had EVERYTHING you would ever need with regards to cooking and entertainment. The weather was perfect for outdoor tennis and pickle ball, so we took full advantage of our own tennis court!
Small note, no king beds, even in the master. Not a huge deal for us, but something to know, if you'll be there for long periods.

We stayed at a rental called Beech Haven... it was a former girls campground and had all kinds of fun historical memorabilia all over the house. We absolutely loved it! So much charm! So much space! Our kids had SO much fun! You do have to keep in mind that it's an older home so it has a few older home issues, but that didn't bother us at all. Very accommodating for a large group and lots of extras! It's not very often that you get somewhere and it's better than the pictures! I definitely felt like this place was! We were happy that we chose this property and will definitely be back! Also, Blue Ridge Mountain rentals did a good job as far as management.

Loved the view. It was snowing while we were there and the children enjoyed making snowmen and sledding. We had plenty of room. Loved being able to sit us all at one table. We will stay again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We had a large family group at Beech Haven. The property is amazing. The grounds are spectacular! We had so much fun on the tennis courts, pavilion, lawn and creek. The property was an old camp and we felt we were at camp for the weekend. The home was well stocked for a large group and we were in want of nothing. The rooms downstairs are heated with space heaters. I feel the downstairs would be cold in the cold winter months, that is the only negative. **RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT**: The lower level of the home has a mini-split system for main heating & cooling in addition to a total house HVAC system. The space heaters are for extra heat as needed and there are fans for extra cooling as well.

What an amazing house! We loved the spot - perfectly located and appointed for our group of four families! Lots of space for the kids to play and we loved the outdoor fireplace and pond. Great communication from beginning to end, we will be back!

Great space both indoors and out. The kitchen was well equipped. We all had a great time! We were all hoping to use the tennis court but it was in the middle of being painted even when we specifically asked if the tennis court was usable. The pool table needs a rack and the cue sticks need new tips. Trash can drawer in the kitchen was hard to open/close. Two mattresses need replacing 1) upstairs king and 2) basement queen. One of the two washing machines was not operational. Left two messages for Joanie Laws, but she never called back. Toilet needed a new flapper upon checking in and was quickly fixed. The hammock fell on one side because short screws were used. Thanks.

We had the pleasure of staying at Beech Haven for a week this summer. Our family of 7 adults and 4 kids had a wonderful week. Definitely one of our top vacation rental experiences ever!
Beech Haven is conveniently located, within minutes of Banner Elk, close to hikes, wineries, and other area fun.
While directly off a main road, the property feels very secluded. Having lots of space, both outside and inside, made for a relaxing and stress-free vacation.
If you are considering booking, do it! You will not regret it.

The property is amazing!!! The history is a must read. My family (ages 4 months to 79 years) was so impressed and had a fabulous time. My husband and I were impressed that not once did the kids get on their "devises". They enjoyed every minute outside on the property. And, the adults enjoyed the our door fireplace every night. Very, very relaxing (especially with a glass of wine-lol). I could go on and on - but I will tell you, it is a must stay if you are going to the mountains. We will plan another trip. Thank you!!!

our stay was absolutely lovely! the location was super convenient to Beech Mountain Ski Resort, which was where we spent most of our time. when we weren't on the slopes, this home had PLENTY to offer towards entertaining and everyone in our group. this home had everything you could have thought to need. from cooking equipment, bathroom needs, games, tvs, speakers & my personal favorite was the christmas decorations. everyone in group was sad to leave, after our week bc it was so homey it felt like we lived there & didn't want to leave.

The accommodations were very comfortable. There was room for everyone except in the kitchen which was small when cooking for 14. Outdoor seating was beautiful as were the immaculate grounds. Enjoyed tennis, archery and lots of running around. S’mores over the fire at night. Only gripe was temp regulation. Very cool in basement or warm upstairs, take your pick which to correct but not both. Puzzles and games were great. Pool and ping pong fun

The musicians in the crowd held nightly jam sessions under the shelter with the fireplace going; and the porch was a favorite hang out for all of us. I rented a home for a family skiing trip in the Boone, NC area. Beech Haven was perfect for our family of 5 kids (4-15) and 5 adults (37-68). Lots of space, a beautiful decor and a picnic pavilion that we used for dinner/cook out one night. Close to Sugar mountain and Beech mountain. Everything was there and in perfect condition. Your family will love it!

Our family of 7 (myself, my husband, and our 4 kids, ages 22, 18, 11, 10, 4) chose Beech Haven as our early Thanksgiving getaway. The pictures of the house and especially of the property do not do it justice. The outdoor property of this home is immense and beautifully kept. Our children enjoyed all of it...the 2 outside fire pits, the tennis court, walks by the pond, creek, and hiked up the mountain in the backyard we’re all amazing. The history of the cabin added so much to our stay. There was only one thing I can critique and it’s that I am allergic to dog hair and there was visible dog hair inside the cabin. The cabin itself was overall very clean, organized and had more than I expected in term of kitchen utensils, appliances, and it’s clear the owners have made sure their house is equipped for family stays. We hope to back to Beech Haven in the near future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Overall the property was amazing. There was so many outdoor activists for children and adults. The house had a ton of charm. One downside was the water pressure. Only one person could take a shower at a time. The other showers wouldn’t even turn on if another shower was running. There was only 1 bathtub in the house and that didn’t work at all.

This home was amazing! We were a large group of families that stayed in hopes of skiing over a long weekend. The weather was not accommodating for that, however, there was plenty to do on the property as well as in the immediate area.
