There were 7 of us, 3 generations ages 11 to 72. Had a memorable long weekend skiing and snowboarding at Sugar Mountain, family shuffle board tournament, s'mores around the fire pit and relaxing in front of the fireplace. The house worked perfect for us and the addition of falling snow was a huge bonus!! We all hated to leave.

We loved our stay at this cabin! Every year we have a surprise Christmas vacation and we have no negatives whatsoever for this rental. It was so cozy and rustic. The kitchen had everything and beyond of what we needed. We loved that the fridge had a working ice maker. We LOVED the gas fireplace and outdoor fire pit. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the space we had to spread out.We loved the area and the neighborhood. Would 100% come back and recommend this cabin. Oh and we LOVED the bear theme and all the rustic decor!

We do not get much snow where we live! So we headed to Banner Elk NC to find some! Beech Mountain was perfect. Staying at Bear Creek was an awesome place to stay to help make this possible. And Pet friendly! The fire pit at night was the icing on the cake! Love it here! Happy to recommend.

We had a wonderful family weekend at Bear Creek! We celebrated two birthdays (twins) and celebrated a baby announcement/gender reveal of our first grandchild. We throughly enjoyed our time together laughing, playing games, enjoying the fresh mountain air and time together as a family. We have stayed in many homes over the years but this one by far has been the most clean and well stocked home we have ever stayed in. We had everything we could possibly need. On Sunday morning before we left we had a visit from a beautiful deer family in the back yard. It was the perfect ending to such a wonderful weekend. My family stayed at this cabin in early December. If I could have given it 10 stars I would have. The house was spectacular and the outside was amazing. There were herds of deer all around and the kids loved it. Again there are not enough stars to express how much we loved this property.

We loved our stay at Bear Creek. Bear Creek cabin is in a great location - 10 min from the original Mast General store in Valle Crucis, 20-25 min from Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock if you want to shop ect. 30 min to pretty much all the local ski spots Beach Mt, Sugar Mt, and the best place around Appalachian. 5-10 Min from Crab Oarchard Falls, highly recommend visiting, and with in a hour to Grandfather Mt and several other great hiking and other waterfall locations. So much to do in this area! We also enjoyed a quite family day and night at the cabin. Great spots for kids to play, plenty of tvs with lots of cable channels, and indoor shuffle board. We were a little upset the air hockey was not there but after playing the shuffle board our boys loved playing. Outside the back yard is perfect with a nice sized yard, fire pit with lots of fire wood, and two back decks with tons of seating. We had dinner by the fire and on the back porch. The kitchen has everything you need to cook every night if you want or need to do so. We loved this cabin and will definitely recommend it to friends, family, and others. We would definitely look into staying at Bear Creek for our next visit.

Super cabin tastefully decorated with bear decor. Very nice porch for watching the wildlife pass by. We saw several deer early morning and late afternoon. The property management company was very responsive, too. I highly recommend this cabin! A good location for visits to Boone, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk.

We had an awesome time with my parents, we love the cabin, it was very clean and they had everything you need. The staff was very nice and helpful . The home was very clean, spacious and well kept. We enjoyed out stay immensely! The location of the home is about 30 minutes from Blowing Rock and Banner Elk and 20 minutes from Boone. This is a little further out than we are used to but it ended up being just fine. The entire vacation was 5 star from the rental company to the house and the experience itself!

Rented the Cabin for ASU graduation, because only a short 15-20 min drive to Boone. Cabin located in a small development, with the houses spaced a good distance apart, making you feel like you have the mountain to yourself. Cabin well appointed with everything you need. Just bring you clothes and food, and thats all you need. Management company was great!!

Great property ideally located in quiet area. While restaurants are only 15-20 minutes away, it was great to roll in with groceries and whip up our own meals so we didn’t have to leave the cabin. The house is stocked with all the cooking supplies we needed and is a great reason to stay in and not leave the serene setting.

Property was in a beautiful location. Easy to get to and roads leading to the cabin were fairly flat which I appreciated not having 4 wheel drive. Renting process was quick and easy. Property was very clean with beautiful cabin decor. We will definitely stay again in the near future

We really enjoyed the stay at Bear Creek. It was fun to try to count the number of bear décor throughout the house and we made it a fun little game between all the couples. The outside fire pit was a major hit. Spite it raining all weekend, we still very much enjoyed out stay and will be back in the future.

My cousin's, friends and I spent a wonderful week in this lovely, well-stocked cabin. The cabin was so clean, with ample seating at the kitchen table and in the living room. The outside porch and the firepit were both enjoyed by all of us! Having three levels worked out great if anyone needed a little quiet time. It was convenient to all of the area attractions including Grandfather Mountain, Blowing rock (the sweetest little town), the original Mast General store and lots of scenic, beautiful rides on the Blue Ridge Pkwy. One of the loveliest area's I have ever visited and we take at least two trips a year.! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends!

We stayed at Bear Creek for a girl’s getaway winery weekend. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and the attention to comfort. We loved sitting around the fire pit at night making s’mores and sitting on the large porch drinking coffee in the crisp fall air. We had a wonderful experience and can’t wait for next year’s trip!

We had a wonderful time at the property. Great location, with space/ You can also choose to walk up the hill for beautiful views, or down the hil and walk along the river. The neighbors are chatty if you go down the hill, and shared some cool history of the location. Only challenge was that we did not have hot water the first morning. If that happens, check the breaker first. It was off. The management company was very responsive and was going to send someone before we found the breaker box. Will def stay ther again.

This property was perfect for our family, with a downstairs area for the kids so they could have their space while the adults had theirs. The fire pit was a great bonus and they provide firewood in winter months which was very appreciated! The decorations throughout the house were darling and that bed in the MBR was VERY comfortable. We would stay here again.

This home was very clean and has thoughtfully been furnished and stocked. You can tell it is well loved. There are extra blankets in the closet so if you run cold you can use an extra blanket. The kitchen has everything you need. The kids loved making smores at the fire pit. They have plenty of wood which was so nice! The downstairs game room was kid friendly. It is very close to Valle Cruis downtown and about 25minutes from Hawksnest for tubing, easy drive. You can be at App in about 20ish minutes. We had a great time and hope to come again soon!

This is exactly what you’re looking for if you want the classic cabin in the mountains type of feel. The owners did an incredible job of honoring the cabin’s Bear Creek name — you will find cool bear-themed decorations and chachkies in every inch of the place, and can walk into the same space 3 or 4 times and still see something new every time. My fiancée, who is a stickler about cleanliness, also commented on how clean the cabin felt. We walked in, and immediately felt like we were home. We will definitely be back!

What a gem!!! What a beautiful and well kept house. We went there to enjoy the winter and in hope to find some snow! The weather didn’t agree with us but we had a blast staying at the Bear Creek cabin. We cocked delicious meals in the very well equipped kitchen, made s’mores at the fire pit outside the cabin, and grilled on the two grills available on the porch. The cabin was stuffed with everything you need from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms. Very clean, and everything was functioning right. The cabin stands by its name since there were so many bears around it, in every corner in all the rooms:)) kids had fun hunting each one of them, discovering them in the most unexpected places and counting them. This cabin is your home away from home, it’s a place we’re worries and stress wash away, a place to make memories and enjoy family time! Thank you so very much for sharing your home with us!
