Banner Bear

We had a wonderful stay in Banner Elk! This is a great, peaceful place for a truly relaxing holiday. If you’re looking for quiet surroundings with easy access to Sugar and Beech Mountain for skiing, this home is perfectly located. You also shouldn’t miss Grandfather Mountain — the hiking trails and wildlife make it an unforgettable experience. The house was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The fireplace made it extra cozy, the beds were large and very comfortable, and the sofa was perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and enjoy a cozy night in. Right behind the house, there are lovely walking paths — perfect for walking the dog while enjoying the charm of the beautiful, historic homes in the area. liked the location, accommodations were fine and achieved the objective. I would suggest an earlier check in and later check out time, a easier way to utilize the tv's. We spent over an hour and a half trying to get a game and finally gave up. Seemed there was a lot of fees. There were no lights showing the property address. Seating was not that comfortable, and furnishings could have been better. I would consider it again if the need arose, however it could be made a much better value. We stayed at Banner Bear and Loved it!!! It's a perfect place to stay near town and not far from both Sugar and Beech Mountain. The Cabin seems much larger than it is with high ceiling and the way it is tastefully decorated. It has all the amenities you need. The heated bathroom floors and fireplace in the living room are a bonus since it was cold during our stay. They even left a nice welcome gift, and had sleds for us to use since it snowed a little while we were there. One morning we woke up to deer feeding in the back yard, what a wonderful way to start the day. Any questions we had before and after our stay Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals responded immediately! We highly recommend using them for rentals the pricing is Great and Awesome customer service! We will definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

The cabin was clean and beautiful. It was perfect for our family of five. We enjoyed the area and we thought it was in a great location for being able to enjoy the surrounding activities. We would definitely stay here again. We also brought our dog and he loved the fireplace. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful.

My husband, myself and our 2 long-hair chihuahuas loved the Banner Bear! The doggies were crated and had their own room and enjoyed the front porch that had it's own gate. The home is pet friendly, but doesn't smell like it! There are rugs, but mine were oblivious to them. There were plenty of kitchen items, pantry areas and starter paper products throughout the home. I'm a coffee drinker and loved the coffee area in the kitchen! The home itself is very nice, new and most importantly, has ample LEVEL parking. Great firepit on the front porch to sit and relax after a day of touring the area. We were very lucky to have a family of deer bask in the sunlight in the backyard and munch on some grass. The momma deer actually layed down and watched her young ones. A real treat. Hopefully other guests will be as lucky to see wildlife while they're visiting. We loved Banner Bear and felt like our home away from home. Banner Elk is a great area as well. Lots of do and see. We can't wait to come again and stay at Banner Bear!

It was a wonderful time and our house was wonderful. It was easy to find and convenient to the Banner Elk area. Everything in the house felt very updated and comfortable. Perfect for a 2 couple retreat.

We have been using BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN RENTALS for 20+ years for our vacation rentals. They are always professional, accommodating, friendly and eager to make your vacation experience a pleasant one. We recently stayed at Banner Bear in Banner Elk and loved our stay. The home was clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing time in the mountains. We also brought our Yorkie that thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful outdoors.

This getaway cabin is perfect for a couple. Location to downtown Banner Elk is perfect. Great year round from Summer fun, Fall leave season, to Winter ski season without worry of getting Fog or snowed in as a result of perfect location. I wish I owned it!!!

This property is almost brand new. Great for two couples with pretty much two master bedrooms. Choose the one with the walk-in shower it’s larger. #55 may vary a little from the others. The one next door did not have a back door or deck. Very nice.

The "cabin" was beautifully furnished and stocked with everything you might need. It is a short drive to Banner Elk businesses and restaurants as well as nearby attractions. Would definitely rent again.

First impressions upon pulling up, was the small size of the house but that was delightfully deceiving once you stepped inside. The tall ceilings and openness served to make it feel larger. The house amenities were first rate right down to the heated bathroom floors. The only knock would be the televisions were streaming services only that you had to have your own subscription and password. We had no problem but a less savvy renter may find difficultly in enjoying an evening program on the tv

Absolutely a home away from home. All the things you need to to cook, clean and RELAX very comfortably all included! The whole house is very updated all through out. My wife and I +2 kids and 1 dog are looking forward to coming back next year.
