A River Mist Walk

We had an amazing honeymoon stay at this cabin! It was the perfect secluded getaway with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together. The cabin was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, so we hardly needed to leave once we arrived. We especially loved the heated bathroom floors, which were such a nice touch, along with the pool table and board games for entertainment. Having river access was another huge bonus and made the stay even more special. We also loved relaxing in the hot tub, which made our stay even better. If you’re looking for a peaceful, private getaway with plenty to do and all the comforts of home, this cabin is a wonderful choice. We would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great time! Cabin was clean, organized, and was great for our getaway. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and the pool table upstairs. It was nice to have a fully supplied kitchen including a dishwasher. Our dog was able to relax all day with the large tv in the living room. We hope to come back!

Very good experience at A River Mist Walk. This cabin was exceptionally clean. Can't say enough about the heated floors in the bathrooms as well as showers with no doors. Very large tub as well if you wanted to enjoy that experience. One suggestion would be to find another home for the pool table upstairs and replace it with a nice bed versus the current sleeper sofa. King bed was very comfortable in the master bedroom and the walk in closets in both sleeping areas was a plus. The expansive downstairs living room and kitchen was very nice. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, cutlery etc. Hot tub was nice but definitely needs a new cover. Nice walk around porch with plenty of doors to the outside. Nice fire pit to use as well as the outside gas grill. This cabin also has a stand by generator fueled by natural gas which I assume works. While there were other houses kind of close it was still mostly private especially with the leaves on the trees. Close enough to the river to even hear it. Only about a 25 minute drive to downtown Boone. Google maps took us straight to the Cabin. A relaxing vacation starts with a nice home away from home and this cabin fits the bill.

We had a wonderful week at A River Mist Walk! We can’t say enough about the amazing house, it was clean and cozy.. very well stocked with all the essentials plus more, the bathroom had heated floors which was great on those cool mornings! The hot tub was great as well. We will definitely be returning.

Incredible property we would definitely visit again. Easy drive to the property and nice walk to the river. Bathrooms were like spas. The kitchen was a dream Every cooking need was provided top of the line small appliances, gas stove, dishwasher washer and dryer and two refrigerators. Plenty of space and storage. It is for sale so we hope the new owners will keep the same quality. Blue Ridge was excellent, attentive staff, easy rent, check in and out.

This house was immaculate. On a scale of 1 to 10 for cleanliness it would rate a 12! Perfect for a couple who wants a romantic get away. morning coffee on the deck listening to the river, listening to the birds chirp and watching some deer drink from the pond were just some of the highlights. Jacuzzi was awesome and had a blast playing pool on the pool table. Absolute Gem of a home.

The reviews and pictures are spot on for A River Mist Walk and yet it's even better in person. The floor plan was perfect for our family (2 adults, 1 child, age 10). The exterior is well lit and maintained. The interior is everything you'd want a modern, getaway cabin to be and the attention to detail and housekeeping is first class. This was our first VRBO and Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals has set the bar high for everyone else. In fact, they'll be the only ones we work with for any future trips. They are incredibly responsive, informative and in touch throughout your stay via text/email. Our entire experience with them and stay at A River Mist Walk was beyond our expectations.

Cabin was even more impressive than expected. Very private, with a beautiful kitchen stocked full of appliances, cookware, bakeware, etc., comfortable living area, luxury bathrooms, firewood supplied for fire pit. I would definitely love to stay there again.

The house was wonderful with top-of-the-line appliances and furnishings and decor. A lovely gas fireplace kept us company and the rocking chairs on the front porch were a great place to sit. Everything one could possibly need was available for cooking or relaxing. We found lots of good places to hike and explore. It's a great place to get away and escape the world while still having every convenience.

The cabin was amazing! Great location in reference to travel time to the lake and other local areas we like to visit, such as Boone. We always aim for cabins with 20 to 30 min drives to civilization and this cabin was perfect. There is a wonderful convenience store 10 mins away for basic necessities as well. The cabin has everything you need for cooking, washing dishes, washing laundry, and entertainment. Just sit back and relax, and please drink your coffee or tea on the front porch so you can enjoy the sounds of the river and the mountain or pond view. The hot tub is wonderful, the firepit is perfect. The cabin has perfect outdoor lighting for kids and your furry friends as well. The river access area is very close to the cabin and is a great walk for your animals daily stroll. Towels for daily use and for the hot tub are provided, however we did bring some of our own as we stayed a week and did not want to run laundry all the time. We will recommend this cabin to friends and we will be back again for another stay.

This place was amazing. The whole family loved it. We didn’t even want to leave the cabin once we got there but when we did we were within a 30 minute drive to all of the local attractions. Everything there is top notch. We will definitely go back for seconds.

A River Mist Walk is a "must stay" place. While affordable, it offered amenities that went above and beyond. Beautifully furnished with many comforts this cabin kept surprising us. We normally like to try different places but this is one we will definitely come back to.

A River Mist Walk is the perfect place for a peaceful get-a-away vacation. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with top-end appliances, cookware, and dinnerware to prepare meals. The fire-pit and hot tub are a wonderful end to each day. It was a perfect place for my husband, myself and our young daughter. She loved having her "own place" in the loft. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was wonderful, we had awesome weather and the house was AMAZING! We have stayed in the original River mist house and didn't think it could get any better but you managed to outdo yourselves again. We wouldn't have changed a thing, except maybe a longer stay, but I would suggest to put something in the book about the park area down by the river. We happened to see where someone else wrote it so we just walked down the road looking for it. But it was so great I hate for others to miss it. Thank you for such great service!!!

We stayed at A River Mist Walk to celebrate our 12 year anniversary and loved every minute of our stay. The cabin is beautiful! The craftsmanship and decor is first class and the kitchen and baths included every imaginable detail. We enjoyed the porch rockers, walking near the cabin & listening to the river, star gazing from the hot tub, relaxing with a game of pool each afternoon...we only left the property one time. What a lovely place to relax, unwind and spend a quiet, romantic vacation! We look forward to another stay in the future.

My husband rented us the River Mist Walk for the weekend for our 1 year anniversary/late honeymoon. The cabin was completely breath taking. It was beautiful! It was equipped with everything you could imagine and was as comfortable as being right at home. The place smelled amazing. We enjoyed it so much that we didn't even leave the cabin to go do anything. We enjoyed the kitchen so much my husband cooked meals instead of us going out to eat. We wanted a quiet, relaxing, stress-free, private romantic get away and that is exactly what we got! We will be recommending this place and we will be in contact to rent this place again! We had a wonderful time, it was just too short. We have never been away from our twin boys since they were born 12 years ago. Chris figured our 25th Anniversary was a good time to get away. When we got to the home I was so Surprised! Chris actually pulled it off, with your help allowing us to go directly to the home. Thank you for that! When I got in I was so amazed of how beautiful it was. I have for a long time dreamed of having a Log Cabin on the water and this was real close. We pretty much stayed in the cabin except for going down to the river to fish and Grandfather Mountain. Let me tell you, that was the fishing was the final touch. I am an avid outdoors man and the walk down to the water was so nice and the burn walking back up was even better! Lol. It was first light and it was a cool brisk morning with the fog rolling on the water and we heard the turkeys gobbling in the mountain above. We saw lots of deer tracks and there were 2 geese. We also had a dog to come check us out to see what we were catching. We saw many roll on the top of the water. I have always wanted to catch a mountain Rainbow Trout. Maybe next time, I'll be more prepared. It was truly amazing place and I did not want to leave!! I hope to be able to return with our boys. They were so excited to see the pictures online and are so excited about going! I don't think Chris could have found a better place for our Anniversary and he found a special place to present me with a beautiful heart necklace while I was sitting on the rock with the water fall behind me. My heart just melted. Thank you again for everything!! We have already recommended this place to our friends and 1 couple are very interested in going for their honeymoon in November 2016.Thank you again and May God Bless You!

My husband and I rented A River Mist Walk to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary and the accommodations were beyond our expectations. The cabin was equipped with every single kitchen appliance we could have ever needed and the board games and puzzles were an unexpected surprise. The craftsmanship and decor of the cabin is absolutely beautiful and the mountain views are breathtaking. We were lucky to have wonderful weather while we were there. We will be back someday. We stayed in the River Mist Walk cabin for an anniversary weekend. It was a gorgeous cabin, beautifully decorated. Everything was very well maintained and clean. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything you can imagine for cooking. The view was gorgeous, although a little lower in elevation than we expected. Highly recommended and will be returning.
