- Firewood is not provided at the home, but may be purchased in advance from our office with a week (7 days) notice. Firewood is $25/day for 2 bundles of wood and a Firestarter log. 
- Pet Rent: $25/nt per pet. MATURE DOGS ONLY PLEASE
- AWD/4WD is recommended during winter months at all of our mountain homes. In times of heavier snow/ice, chains may also be necessary.

CANCELLATION POLICY – 
Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. 
Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. 
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Great house. Well stocked kitchen, awesome decks, close to the river. Saw deer every day. So peaceful. We have stayed in a bunch of different homes over the years and would definitely stay here again. Blue ridge rentals is a great company to rent from.

We loved this house! The kids had the best time playing and exploring the river. The house was beautiful and spacious for the other family we went with. Well stocked and very clean. Only thing missing was a wine opener but we managed 😊. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a recent stay at A River Mist Too. Very nice home in a great location with a beautiful view of the Watauga River. The three master suites were very nice, it gave each couple privacy with plenty of room. The open concept bathrooms with heated floors were amazing. The fire pit is conveniently located between the house and detached garage / bonus room. There were a few small issues with the two upstairs TV'S and the automatic door code lock but Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals made things right. A great rental company to work with. We would stay at this property again.

Beautiful home & great location!
We booked the property for a long weekend stay. It was everything we could have wanted. The kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms were very comfortable. & bathrooms were large. The only suggestion is regarding the good bit of rain & snow that we had. The washer & dryer is in the garage & there's no cover from the elements walking to it from the main house. We were grateful for the generator as the power flickered several times. Overall it was everything we could need or want & I'd definitely stay again.

This was an exceptionally beautiful location and a lovely house. It was also one of the cleanest vacation rentals I have stayed in. The property is "pet friendly" so we expected there to be a bit of evidence. However it was amazingly free of pet hair and nicely clean throughout. Definitely a repeat rental for us.

This was our first time staying at A River Mist Too, and it was an amazing experience! The house was gorgeous, both inside and out, the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The bathrooms were really spectacular and the beds were amazingly comfortable! Everything was perfect! It was a bit of a drive to get to the grocery store, but we liked the privacy that the house and property offered. The sounds from the river were wonderful. A great time has had by humans and the doggos! Would definitely recommend! 👌

Loved the property. Beautiful place. Arrived on Sunday, the trash was overflowing from the trash cans. Tuesday I hauled it to the convenience center. No one came for the trash till the following Tuesday. Made a call about the hot tub that was not working and the HVAC not working properly. Also told Blue Ridge the HVAC filters needed changing, Filters were never changed. I changed the 2 downstairs filters. I needed a ladder for the 2 upstairs filters which I didn't have. Judging from the grills and sound, they also were past due. I'm happy to forward pictures if you like. I was notified prior to our arrival that the hot tub was not working properly but usable. Cold water and no jets are not acceptable for being usable. Nor were any of the controls operable. Was told multiple times someone would be out to look at it. No one showed. Swept the leaves that were packed around all the evergreens at fire pit. Also pulled couple buckets full of weeds from fire pit area. I hate to complain but for spending the amount of money that i did for 2 weeks, I expect a lot more than I received. Your clients need to put some money into their investment or charge significantly less.

Exceeded expectations!
Everyone loved this beautiful house! Layout allowed privacy & plenty of space for our multi-generational group. 3 king en-suites w luxurious blow-your-mind bathrooms. Well-equipped spacious kitchen. Small office off of living room has pull-out full bed that might be comfy for a small kid. Played in the river several days & loved having meals outside & listening to the river from the many decks overlooking it. Weather was perfect! Wow- cool temps in August?! We brought river tubes, walked upriver exploring, past pavilion, then floated slowly down. Several deeper pools to linger in. Saw one snake. Cove Creek store up the road 10 min’s has some basic supplies, firewood, nice people & decent sandwiches. Fire-pit for obligatory s’mores. We appreciate the natural setting & wildflowers by the riverbank, but a quick weed-whacking of grass would have made it a nicer place to sit. We had brought a tarp to set our stuff on for a day of river fun. A couple of the larger pathway stones will wiggle/shift a bit under your feet, so watch your footing when walking down to river. Spent a few hours in Boone, Mast General Store & other shops. The Come Back Shack for burgers never disappoints. Other fam favorites: Local Lion & Stick Boy for baked goods, Proper or Red Onion for a nicer sit-down meal. None of us were ready to leave. What a great house that helped us make fun memories!

My husband and I celebrated our fiftieth anniversary in River Mist Too with our two daughters and their husbands. The home was perfect for three couples with private bedrooms and bathrooms. The setting was peaceful whether sitting near the river or reading a book on the porch or decks. The kitchen was well-equipped and the recreation room kept us entertained on rainy afternoons. We read the information sent to us from the management company and knew that a grocery store wasn't nearby. Accordingly, we were well-supplied with food and didn't need to venture out. The home is tucked away, which allows serenity, but a drive to hiking trails. We were pleasantly surprised that the water level in August was high enough to allow but swimming and fishing. We all had an enjoyable stay.

We had a great stay at River Mist Too. The house and kitchen were well appointed, the view of the river was beautiful. We really enjoyed making fires every night and all of the wildlife!

Gorgeous cabin inside and out. Lots of modern amenities. Love the kitchen. Beautiful views from expansive deck and all bedrooms. Living room is comfortable with nice electronics. Nice fire place with gas logs. Garage has game room pool table, table soccer. Includes couch sitting area and TV, mini kitchen and full bath. Great entertainment area for kids. Xbox also. All Bathrooms are so cool. Open showers with over head shower heads and extra hand held spray. Heated floors. Fairly private setting. Easy access to river. We will be back!

What an amazing home! We had a fabulous time in this riverside retreat! Hearing the river from the house was so nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kitchen gadget and appliance you could possibly need. This would be particularly great for larger groups and family gatherings. Just a great great property!!

First-class cabin. There are simply too many good things to say about it, from the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, TVs, hot tub, game room, location, firepits, etc.. We will definitely be back.

Perfect cabin. Perfect location. Great for fishing, luxury accommodations, jacuzzi, playing pool and making s’mores. Comfortable beds and extraordinary bathrooms and kitchen. Highly recommend!

Family all celebrated recent birthdays in this terrific home. The house was perfect for 3 couples. fire pits, grill, and hot tube were all put to good use! Quiet at night and tranquil during the day, listening to the river pass below us. Would definitely consider A River Mist Too again for a special time with family/friends.

We really enjoyed our stay st River Mist Too. The house is beautiful, nicely decorated, great bathrooms and right on the river. The kitchen is well equipment with very high end cookware. We made big fires in the fire pit and the kids loved the hot tub. I highly recommend this house and we will definitely be staying there again.

Our stay at A River Mist Too was absolutely wonderful! I've rented several other cabins in the area that billed themselves as "luxury" but fell short of my expectations. A River Mist Too was exactly as billed; awesome! From the fully equipped and beautiful kitchen, to the decor and heated bathroom floors. The location was peaceful and secluded; We even saw a pair of deer cross the river one evening! We'll definitely be back. Thank you for all of your help in booking this wonderful cabin. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals is by far the best company we've ever booked with. Our recent Labor Day stay at "A River Mist Too" exceeded all our expectations and more! So much space to enjoy.This mountain cabin with the Watauga river running through the back was tastefully decorated inside and out with two fire pits & decks overlooking the river. Every amenity you could imagine was included from the kitchen & bar, dining & living room area, bedrooms & bathrooms, balcony, game room and outside Jacuzzi was included. We instantly fell in love soon as we stepped through the front door and didn't want to leave! Our family is definitely looking forward to coming back again next year!! Brenda Calhoun

What an extraordinary and beautiful way to celebrate the wonderful men/husbands/fathers in our lives! This house is over the top gorgeous- and the view amazing! Sitting every morning listening to the world wake up as the sounds of the river rush by us...it feels like a holy place- God's Country! It's closer to heaven at A River Mist Too! Perfect weather almost every day until night falls and we watch the fireflies light up the night. We have had an amazing week filled with laughter, love, joy, and sweet memories. This place is Amazing!!! The view of the River, the hot tub, the fully stocked kitchen, the detached garage (game room) that our children enjoyed playing in, everything was more than we expected. We really enjoyed a nice relaxing vacation in this lovely home. We hope to come back one day.

A River Mist Too~ a perfect vacation in a perfect home. Upon entering the driveway and seeing A River Mist Too it took my breath away. It sat slightly down a small hill and the snow that covered the grounds seemed to bring the home to life. It was beautiful. The deck in the front with the rockers just seemed to call out to us and we couldn't wait to get inside and begin our annual family vacation. Upon entering the home, all I could say was wow. Looking around at the interior, the art décor, kitchen and living room I could tell that the owners spared no expense and I could feel the love that went into picking out every little thing for A River Mist Too. The Master Bedroom and bath were more than I could have imagined. Beautiful, a must see in person because pictures do not do these bedrooms/bathrooms justice. The kitchen was stocked with any and everything you could imagine. For once I didn't have to wonder how I would be able to cook everything and get it to the table at the same time. With 6 burners, 2 ovens and a microwave, cooking for 8 was a snap. The appliances were top notch and we loved the fridge with WeatherBug. We had updated weather reports at the touch of a button. Very cool. The detached game room was used a lot. The men and boys absolutely loved it. They would have stayed in there forever if it was up to them. Between the pool table and foosball table I'm pretty sure they became pros by the time we left. Again, the game room was decorated with great thought. Loved the table and chairs that were made for the pool sticks. Great addition. I have to mention the view in the rear of the house. It really is magnificent. The Watauga river that flows just outside can be heard from virtually everywhere outside of the home. It's beauty is nothing short of calming. We sat there what seemed like forever just watching and listening to the flow of the river. The men did a little fishing and we were surprised that they caught some trout as they had never fished that kind of water before.(Being from Florida most of our fishing is in the ocean.)We cooked the trout over an open flame from the wonderful fire pit. It was the best tasting fish! One can't get a better or fresher fish than that which was caught, cooked and eaten within an hour time frame. Speaking of the fire pit, it was used every single night there. With ample supply of firewood provided by the owners, it made very cold nights feel warm and cozy as we all sat around the fire pit, laughing, talking, making smores, roasting marshmallows and having a few drinks. What a wonderful way to re-connect with family since the real world seems to move so fast and we all go our separate ways with work, school and social events. I would highly recommend The River Mist Too for a perfect getaway. It exceeded all my expectations and as much as we hated to leave, we all had comfort in knowing we had found that one vacation home that we had been looking for over the years to come back to again and again. Thank you Blue Ridge Rentals for being so kind, considerate and accommodating and thank you to the owners of A River Mist Too for allowing others to enjoy your beautiful home.

I am so thrilled we found this home and rented it for the week. My sister rented a A River Mist and we were in a River Mist Too with our grown children and grandkids. This home is beyond spectacular. The owners of this home missed no details in planning and building this amazing house. The bedrooms and bathrooms are amazing. The kitchen is a cooks dream. They missed nothing. This review would be pages long if I tried to cover everything. I am a Realtor and we have traveled to many places. I have seen a lot of houses, but this home is a stand out among them all. We will definitely be back. Next year we want to stay for two weeks. One week was just not enough. Thank you for allowing other people to rent your home and enjoy your dream.
