High Time Cabin

We had a great time! The house was in the perfect location - close to Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. The house itself was beautiful and we loved the outdoor fireplace. The deck could use some additional furniture besides rocking chairs and a hard bench though. The driveway is extremely steep, so we were glad we brought our 4x4 truck. Blue Ridge Rentals never disappoints. Their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions. Their properties are well-maintained and we always appreciate the linens and the generous “starter” kits of soaps, paper towels, etc. We have been customers for years and will continue to visit the area, as we always enjoy our time in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains!

Our stay was wonderful! The house was perfect for us. There are high end appliances, everything you would ever need in the kitchen, plenty of space, tvs in every room, a beautiful view, privacy, comfy beds, overall just a cool house and property. It was very clean too!Our only issue was getting through the gate to the neighborhood, so make sure you get a gate code along with your door entry code. Oh and be prepared with 4 wheel drive

We had a great week staying with our two dogs. Cabin was everything we expected and no surprises. Enjoyed seeing a few deer at the house and loved hearing the owl nearby. We visited Grandfather mountain and several waterfalls as well.

We had a beautiful weekend stay at High Time Cabin! It is fully stocked with everything you need, has comfortable beds, boasts two fireplaces, and a perfect porch. As other reviewers mentioned the driveway is VERY steep so be sure to have AWD.

We did not make reservations earlier and were fortunate that there was an opening. On short notice, BRMR provided us with all the info we needed. It rained most of the time but what a delight to just sit by the fire and gaze out the large wall of windows. This cabin is a wonderful alternative to hotels especially if you have children. It is clean, neat and beautifully decorated.

We had a fantastic stay at Ma’s Sunset Retreat but the location was not our first choice. We arrived at our first house to find the pipes were frozen. Blue Ridge worked very quickly to get us relocated. In less than 1 hour, we were unpacked in our new home. The commutation during our relocation was awesome! The house is in a fantastic location and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. Our chocolate lab was most impressed with the fenced in yard. We will definitely stay at this house again!

It was a wonderful place to stay. The cabin is only three years old and looks amazing. The basement floor is under construction so we couldn’t access it. It was very clean and has a beautiful view of the mountains. It’s over a mile up the mountain. The driveway is very steep so if we didn’t have a four wheel drive vehicle we wouldn’t have been able to get to the top entry. It snowed about three inches while we were there and that made it very slippery and the four wheel drive vehicles even slide going down the driveway. Highly recommend anyone renting this cabin to take a four wheel drive vehicle. We thoroughly enjoyed staying and we will definitely be back to stay again in the future. Our dogs enjoyed the snow also. Thanks for allowing us to take them along on our vacation.

Overall very nice place to stay and very relaxing place to get away from everything. Unfortunately there was a city burn ban so unable to use the outdoor fireplace at the time but inside had fireplace did just the job. Had a fury friend try to get into some garbage during the stay so highly recommend locking the garbage as posted! 4x4 or AWD is a must as the gravel driveway to the house is pretty steep. Would come back here again

This one topped our list! Loved the location in a private gate-entry neighborhood. We stopped at Grandfather vineyard prior to check-in - 3min down the road, serene, sat on the Adirondack chairs by the stream and relaxed with a glass of wine- the vineyard was super pet friendly. The cabin was high up in the mountains away from others which made it super peaceful (& with a gorgeous sunrise view on the back deck). What comes with that territory is a steep climb up the driveway. I have an AWD SUV & did okay but I do agree with other reviewers that a 4WD vehicle is probably best here. This is not something that would prevent us from going back to this home, but is worth mentioning for planning. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, bakeware, pots/pans, everything we needed. Beds SUPER comfy! Everything in the home was new, beautiful, spacious and cozy. Tons of outdoor space with rocking chairs and table/grill. The mgmt company was responsive & helpful. We WILL be back, thx!

This is a beautiful cabin. It has a terrific view and is very cozy on the interior. Great porch. During the spring/summer your view will likely be limited due trees but in the fall winter the view is mostly unobstructed. The driveway is a little treacherous, definitely will need 4wd to get to the front door even when dry. If it was raining or muddy even 4wd might get stuck. The fireplace is a great touch and the furnishings are very nice and comfortable.
Overall beautiful home, very relaxing, we will hopefully be back sometime in the future

This is one of the best we seen! Owners seem to have thought of everything. We especially liked the outdoor fireplace. Even though 4wheel drive is needed it was easy to get to unlike some we have been to with long winding driveways. Kitchen very well supplied. Hoping to come back next year

Fantastic, quiet cabin in gorgeous woods! Super clean and lovely simple decor. Perfect spot to be lost in the woods but a close drive to so much. Plenty of space and tons of charm. The standout for us was the beautiful deck looking right into the woods. 5/5 would recommend for a NC hiking and outdoor adventuring get away.
One thing to note - not an issue but to be aware of. The gravel driveway up to the cabin is VERY steep. We had rented a Cadillac SUV without 4wheel drive and it was a challenge. We ended up parking on the lower level and hauling our luggage up to the top level where the entrance is because we couldn’t get the SUV up to the top of the driveway. No big deal for us, but I could see this being a challenge if you were with small children or older folks or there was bad weather. Definitely would recommend 4 wheel drive or a heavier truck for this spot.

Our stay at High Time exceeded our expectations. The cabin had the perfect amount of space for our family and we thought the layout of the bedrooms allowed so much privacy between everyone. It was very clean upon arrival and the starter supplies of toilet paper, dish soap, etc were a perfect amount for our stay which was appreciated. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed. I was amazed at how much pantry space there was so if we were there for a longer period of time, there would have been ample storage space for any groceries we had bought. The outdoor space was fantastic. The porch and views were wonderful. We had a fire every evening in the outdoor fireplace. It was definitely our favorite spot to be! We can't wait to return and explore the area more.

Very pleasant stay. We parked our car and it didn't leave the spot for 3 days. It was a little chilly to go out on the deck long, but the gas fireplace kept us nice and cozy, allowing the stress of work to go away for the time we had. It was nicely stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, and soap for our trip. This was much appreciated.

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to go to High Time with our very special friends and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience. The cabin is so very beautiful and the views are amazing, the outside decks are fantastic. You can tell the owners have put a lot of thought into the comfort of their guests, it was the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in and ample supplies and toiletries, not to forget the really plush towels, and the beds are very comfortable and I don't say that lightly!! We were blessed with cooler weather so was able to use the fireplace outside on the porch that had great seating and also the fireplace inside that has beautiful realistic gas logs. The cabin is conveniently located to several great places to visit, there is something for everyone near by, and yes ladies, there is shopping in Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing rock for you that is only about a 20 minute drive that is also a very beautiful drive. We went to a few wineries and a brewery and there are quite a few really good restaurants near by so you don't have to drive far if you want to stay close. This will definitely be a place we will go back to and recommend to all our friends and family, don't miss an opportunity to stay at High Time cabin !!! It gave us the opportunity to make special new memories.

TV - Lots of free internet programing, but nothing that we usually watch. Basic cable service would be nice. Happy that we brought our Chromecast. The outdoor fireplace is the bomb! A doe and her fawn visited almost every day. Really high and secluded; excellent location. You are not kidding about 4wd. A little light on towels and TP. It is 3BR.

We stayed at High Time Cabin during a cold weekend in mid-November 2021. We found the location to be exceptional for enjoying, Boone, Banner Elk, Sugar and Grandfather Mountain. Very convenient to both grocery shopping, great restaurants and lots of family activities. Also, there is a tremendous spa at Eseola Lodge just down the street for an adult getaway. The trails within the community were a great way to spend a couple hours outdoors without getting in the car. As far as the accommodations, the cabin had been finished only weeks before we used it and it was perfect. Cabin was very well appointed and comfortable, with spacious bathrooms. We used both the gas and wood burning fireplaces. Amazing sunrises from the porch. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary dishes, pans and accessories to cook any meal at any time of day. The five of us easily fit in the 3 bedrooms with room to spread out as needed. This will only improve when basement is finished. WiFi was consistent throughout the house. In short, we are already planning on going back to High Time Cabin next year.
