Not far from town, this home is in a quaint neighborhood with lots of greenery between the homes and they all have a beautiful view of the mountains. Perfect for morning coffee on a country porch overlooking beautiful hills.

My wife looks for places based on reviews soI will be accurate here. The location was great, 20 min to skiing and 10 to shopping. Houses look close but I never saw a neighbor. My two boys (5/8) absolutely loved it and cried when we had to leave. Downstairs rooms probably not haunted but we stayed upstairs just in case. It is as described, no issues and no surprises. Great if you're not used to the snow, great for families, highly likely we will return.

We came up here for Thanksgiving. The house was beautiful and well kept. Great view overlooking the mountain. Easy to get to, even at night. Plenty of space so you don't feel on top of each other. There is enough to do in the area that aren't bad drives, maybe 20-30min each (Downtown Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock). We recommend staying here.

BRMR was easy to book with. The check in process at our house was well-communicated and easy. We were greeted with fresh roses on the table and a welcome bag. We had an issue with the dryer not drying and it was resolved in a matter of hours. I would definitely book my next property through them.

The property was even prettier in person than the pictures showed. The house was very comfortable for our group of 8. We were each afforded privacy, while the common areas still fit us all comfortably. Another refrigerator in the basement would have been nice, especially while playing pool. Our views, although not high and sweeping, were very pretty. The location was convenient to Boone and waterfall hikes. I would go back to this property again.

My family and I loved our long weekend in Vilas! The highlights of the home were the hot tub and the hilly yard that was perfect for snow tubing. The kitchen was well equipped and big enough for all 10 of us to have family dinners. The basement shower didn’t drain well and the kids staying in that room ended up showering upstairs. The heat in the bedrooms was super hot and dry and we couldn’t find the thermostat to adjust it. We would definitely stay again, we loved it!

1 Awesome Skyview was a beautiful cabin. It wasn't too high up on the mountain which is a plus for snowy or rainy days or those a little nervous of driving in the mountains. It's also right off the highway. The cabin was fully stocked from the kitchen to the bathroom. It truly felt like home away from home. While I like to rent different cabins each time I visit the area, I think I'll be renting this one again...and SOON!!!

After paying over $300 a night for a Super 8 in Boone last year we decided to look around for a place worth that kind of money. We found it! This house was perfect for us. Four couples (and two kids) fit comfortably. The view really is lovely. The weather was perfect. Everything worked as it should. This is a lovely property and we will likely look to stay here again.

Four couples chose this house because we all wanted our own bedrooms and our own bathrooms. This house has that and more plus two half baths. The house is centrally located and not hard to get to. My wife and some of my co-workers decided on the Skyview Lodge after careful consideration of the properties available. We had four couples stay at this house in Dec of 2013 and loved that every couple had their on privacy and bathrooms. We have used Blue Ridge Rentals several times and have been very pleased with each house that we have rented in the past, but this was the one. We loved it so much that we are already planning another get away for 2014 or early 2015 at this same cabin. The hot tub was wonderful and since we took a projector with a DVD player with us, had a movie night every night we stayed in the large den area. I can not wait to get another chance to stay at this cabin. The only concern I had during the entire stay was that the grill was a little small for that many people, but we managed to work it out. We only left the cabin one day while we were there just to grab breakfast and to purchase enough food to last us the entire weekend. I am pretty sure all of our friends and more like 2nd family loved it!!!! Also the staff of the Blue Ridge Mtn. Rentals Office are wonderful to work and communicate with!!! We look forward to renting from them again next year. Thank You!!!

A group of ladies went up for a weekend away to this beautiful cabin just outside of Boone. There was plenty of room to spread out and we enjoyed the contemporary decor. The hot tub was a nice place to relax and we felt right at home. The wood detailing throughout was warm and inviting. We all thought it was a beautiful home and look forward to visiting again. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were great to work with and the cabin was very clean. We will have a few extra blankets for the basement bedroom, but that was a minor blip in the overall experience. We had a great time!
