Very comfortable and cozy cabin. Beautiful views. An absolutely perfect deck on which to enjoy a glass of wine etc. Just 5 minutes from "downtown" there is still a wonderful sense of privacy and isolation. There are quite a few steps so not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. We look forward to staying here again.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Eagle Eye Cabin! You definitely need to be able to manage 40+ steps up the staircase, but once you do it is a wonderful retreat in the mountains with a beautiful view. The master bathroom is luxurious and the beds were all super comfortable! The deck around the upper level was great for getting outside and the canopy of trees surrounding the house meant even when it rained we only experienced the wonderful noise of the droplets falling through the leaves. We will definitely look at staying here again when we visit the area. (Please note this home was formerly known as Eagle Eye Cabin at The Original Eagles Nest).

What a lovely cabin in both design and decor! The owners thought of everything! We had a delightful stay and it was just what we were looking for to get away and relax.

We loved the place. Close to many attractions, nice sunset view.

This really felt like a large and modern treehouse! It is overlooking the most peaceful farm nestled in a valley. The sunsets were beautiful, and seeing the family of 7 deer grazing during this time made it all the more amazing. The beds were very comfortable and I loved the curtains (doors) that separated the Master bed from the living area. The steam shower was perfect! Going to have to consider this in my next home! LOL We grilled out and used the stove every day. We did not miss the lack of an oven, as we were prepared for this. The host was very easily accessible with any questions or concerns. I do recommend an added saucepan as this was missing and some kitchen towels to wash dishes with. Other than that it has everything we needed. Plenty of skillets and anything else you need for cooking. I also recommend reading the black book on the counter (looking right at you when you come into the cabin LOL), as this can answer most any question you may have. I overlooked this book but our host answered all of my questions with good humor! :) We would highly recommend staying here!

We loved the cabin, very clean. Great sledding Hill, our kids had a blast. Close enough to town, but still hidden away. Would definitely visit again.

The property was awesome. House was very clean and well maintained; Nicely appointed as well. Owner was proactive with information for our stay and very responsive. Great location, amazing views, and very private. The listing says one bedroom but the layout is more like a 3 bedroom house. We absolutely loved our stay.

This place was just what our family needed. We unplugged and just enjoyed all of our surroundings. Seen Deers everyday, very comfortable and great mountain vibe. The cabin decor makes it so authentic.

This was me and my wife’s first trip alone since our daughter (almost 4) was born. The cabin was so wonderful and we had such an amazing time! The stay was peaceful and secluded but still easy to get to Banner Elk and also a very reasonable drive to Asheville (1.5 hrs) for one of the days we were there. The cabin was clean and in great shape and had everything that we needed. We would absolutely consider staying here again! Thank you so much!!!

We spent 4 lovely days in this beautiful home. I needed a place to work quietly while my husband enjoyed some golf and R&R. Rain or shine the porch was the perfect place to relax. The home was well appointed with a stereo, jacuzzi tub and steam shower. There aren’t any bedroom doors, which was fine for us- might be a consideration if traveling with others. The loft is adorable- I could see kids each enjoying their own alcove hidden behind curtains. Exactly as described and the management company was in contact and available for any questions. A gem!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Eagle Eye Cabin overall. Great views, lovely property, very convenient to Banner Elk. Visitors should note; these facts are stated in the property description but are worth repeating: there is no dishwasher, there is no oven, and there is no air conditioning. Prepare for your stay accordingly and you’ll have a great time. (Please note this home was formally known as The Eagle Eye Cabin at The Original Eagles Nest)

Place was awesome and the beds make it hard to ever get up and get going... perfectly restful sleep after day on the slopes for sure! If you are headed to Banner Elk area this place is a top notch property!

Our family visited in October and had a wonderful stay. Joanie, the property manager, was very helpful with questions we had regarding our reservation. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely come back! We loved all the nearby attractions in Boone , Blowing Rock, and Roan Mountain. My husband and I are big hikers and the sunset at Roan Mountain will be hard to beat down the road!

The home was in a great location. It was very clean and the owner was always extremely responsive to any questions. The layout is great and ideal for 2 families or 3 couples. Everything was available in the home that you would need. I would recommend this property. 4 wheel drive would be needed if snow is on the ground.

My fiancé and I recently rented the Eagle Eye Cabin during October 2016. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the cabin is even more beautiful in person. If you're looking for a perfect getaway to disconnect, then this cabin retreat is for you. It is like being in a luxury tree house, complete with all of the amenities you would hope for. The bed is extremely comfortable, the jacuzzi tub is perfect for two, and my fiancé loved the steam shower. We will definitely be back to the Eagle Eye Cabin and I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to plan a romantic getaway. We loved the house; we travel a lot and the house was so well equipped. There is an adjoining cabin as others have mentioned with connecting steps, but we did not have any problems. Its a lovely location though during the winter they are not kidding about needing 4W or all W drive. We had all wheel and made out fine as the property managers we very dedicated to keeping the drive in a manner that we could go up and down. They left enough snow for traction and did a great job plowing as needed. The hot tub is hot, the WIFI worked flawlessly, the master bed was very comfortable. Our kids loved the privacy of the upstairs; the Great room and fireplace were enjoyed, the view is lovely; Joanie was very easy to contact and text with questions about the weather LOL!! Thank you Joanie!! You really made the stay. We would come back and would love to see it in the fall and spring as its surrounded by woods and mountain laurel!!
