The Ponderosa

The property was perfect! The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The kids enjoyed playing upstairs on the pool table, shuffleboard and foosball games. The decorations throughout the house were so unique and interesting. We would stay here again no doubt if we go back to the area.

The cabin is really beautiful and very well decorated, it has Mountain View's from every window. It is super well equipped. Kitchen has everything you need and more including condiments of all sorts. The bathrooms do have a welcome kit with shampoo, soap etc. and the towels are awesome. This cabin is really what a luxury hotel offers and more. We really enjoyed the game room, despite having a day with bad weather we did not even care because the house is so nice you don't need anything else else. Kudos to it's owners and the property management crew! Recommended 100%!

The service was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and we loved our cabin! We received the information we needed on time and as promised, and the firewood we ordered was waiting for us when we arrived. I will definitely use this company again for our next mountain rental.

The Ponderosa offers more than you can imagine—amazing views, chef's kitchen, comfy beds, crazy fun game room and uniquely themed atmosphere leaving you both inspired and in awe of the special touches found throughout the home. As we were leaving, we all agreed-this home is truly special. So thankful for our time here making memories to be celebrated for years to come. The inside and outside of this property was perfect! Check in was easy, the complimentary bottle of wine was a sweet gesture, and the cabin was spotless. The views from the front and back porches were amazing. This house was also the best stocked house we've stayed at; just bring your clothes and some food and you are set!

The Ponderosa was amazing! The house was very clean and welcoming. It had everything we needed for cooking and eating. We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious deck, the beautiful views, the complimentary wine, the hot tub, the game room, the fire pit and the comfy beds! The Ponderosa was the perfect place for us to escape and unwind! We were welcomed by a bottle of wine in the entryway and beautifully decorated spaces all around. The house was immaculate and the kitchen was fully furnished with loads of dishes and spices. Our teenagers got a lot of enjoyment out of the game room. Pool, darts, and shuffleboard kept them busy! What we loved most were the multiple sets of comfy Adirondack chairs on the porches. We spent many hours just sitting looking at the gorgeous mountain views. We made use of both fireplaces inside and the fire cauldron outside. Fires make everything cozy! Boone is one of our favorite vacation destinations, and we will definitely book our next stay at the Ponderosa!

Let me start off by saying that we are picky. We book stays frequently, I travel for a living and we enjoy nice things. When photos and descriptions do not line up, or are “stretched” from the truth a little bit, we're not happy. This was NOT the case with the Ponderosa. We were looking for a few nights away from home to explore in the mountains and stumbled on this gem. We were a little apprehensive with no reviews, but decided to give it a try. We will be back and we had to write a 5 star review. Check in nowadays is seamless with digital locks, email and text messages. It was simple, as expected. We had a welcome bottle of wine waiting for us when we walked in the door. Fire wood was graciously stocked inside, outside at the cowboy fire pit and surplus under the deck- all provided by the owner. Thank you for that! The house is clean. It was so nice to not be disappointed by a feel of dingy, you know what I mean? It was clean, smelled nice and as we started to inspect, was so well thought out. A lamp set on a timer in the main room, so you don't arrive in the dark. Night lights all throughout the home to have a soft glow (even built into the outlets in the kitchen). Plenty of throw blankets. Extra blankets and pillows in the closets, if needed. Bathrooms all had tissues, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and bath soap along with room spray. One set of towels per person, that the cabin can sleep, plus beach towels for the hot tub. Next to each bed was an alarm clock and either an easy access plug or a 4 port USB charging station. Games up in the loft (darts, pool, foosball, shuffleboard) were all in great condition. Now, the kitchen. The owners have provided everything. We travel with a tote. It has all the odd-n-end stuff we've come to like having with us when we do rentals. It's stocked with laundry detergent/dryer sheets, dish soap, sponges, salt/pepper, core seasonings, trash bags, spare paper towels, napkins, plastic “leftovers” containers, foil, plastic wrap, etc. - you get my drift. This house has it all! K-cup and drip brew coffee maker and even tea ball infusers included. We like to cook and I couldn't see anything missing in this kitchen (cookbooks included) for me to make any meal or dessert. Huge kudos to the owners. This place has everything really well thought out, even light switches labeled. Living room and master tv's were newer and we were able to push Disney+ to them for movie night. We will be back!

The Ponderosa was an amazing rental. The owners have decorated the home in such beautiful decor and it was so inviting. They have everything you could possibly need in the home. It had beautiful views and was so convenient to anywhere you wanted to go. We will definitely be back to stay again!

Could not have been happier with the place. Beautiful inside and out. Close enough to town that it was a short drive but also far out enough that it was beautiful views, sunsets over the mountains, while sitting in the hot tub. Inside decor was awesome. Plenty to do when the weather is bad, between pool, shuffle board, darts, board games, foosball. Everything you need to grill, cook, etc. Bed was super comfortable and the mast bedroom fireplace was a nice touch! Fire logs in the living area was very nice too, to keep the air inside from getting too dry, due to it being cold at night. Wish I could have spent a week there!

The Ponderosa was wonderful. We came during December and the home was decorated for Christmas. We also enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and Foosball. It was great that each bedroom had its own bath.
