Your hunt for the ultimate upscale getaway is over! Welcome to The Blessing, a spectacular custom-built home nestled alongside the Pisgah National Forest. Christened such by the homeowners, who feel blessed to be able to own a stunning home like this, their hope is that you too will be blessed by your stay here.
Enter the home via a stone pathway and rustic steps leading to a solid oak door. The main floor has hardwood floors, walls, and ceilings throughout. The living area features a soaring cathedral ceiling with exposed beams, a wall of windows overlooking the serene forest, French doors to the deck, and leather furnishings arranged around a stacked stone gas fireplace and a TV with DVD player. The other half of the great room is the showcase-quality kitchen. Perfect for chefs of all abilities, this kitchen features granite counters, a pond-shaped sink built into the large island, stainless steel appliances including a 6-burner gas stovetop with a griddle and warming oven, and a deep double basin sink. The dining table will seat 10 comfortably.
Just off the dining room is a screened in sunroom. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and breezes of the forest lands surrounding the cabin. If the temperature drops, you can still enjoy the sunroom with the gas fireplace. Step from the sunroom onto the open deck if you’d like to get even closer with nature, or if you want to grill up a feast on the gas grill.
Also on the main level is a bedroom with a Queen bed. Next to it is a full bathroom with a tiled tub/shower, a vanity with granite counters and a superimposed geode-style carved basin. There is a mudroom just off the kitchen with a matching Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer set, as well as a small sink, an icemaker, the microwave, and a couple of closets. You can access the covered breezeway to the two-car garage through this room as well.
One of the large master suites is on this floor, on the other side of the great room. This room has a King bed, French doors leading to the deck, and an opulent private bathroom with a double vanity topped in granite with two superimposed embossed copper sinks, a walk-in shower with a Rainmaker head, a deep Jacuzzi tub, and a private water closet.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed and a built in reading nook in an alcove under a window. Between these two bedrooms is a full bath with a stone tiled shower and a granite vanity with a porcelain basin. There is also a small nook with a leather chair and lamp, perfect for relaxing with your favorite reading material.
Head downstairs to the lower level. There is a large great room, perfect for recreation. The pool table is an ideal complement to the cozy furnishings including two couches around a stone gas log fireplace, as well as French doors to the lower deck. The HDTV & DVD/BluRay players are built into enclaves in the stone above the fireplace, and there is a selection of movies. Play one of the many board games supplied at the house on the game table while you watch your favorite movie. There is a full bath off this room, with a tub/shower and granite vanity.
There are two suites on this floor, one at either end of the home. One room has three sets of twin bunk beds and a large TV with a two-person padded rocker, the perfect place for kids of all ages to gather to play a video game or watch a movie. The other room has a King bed, and each bedroom has a private bath with a tub/shower and granite vanities.
Step outside onto the deck off either floor and enjoy the serenity of the forest. The relaxing hot tub is located on the lower level deck, and with the surrounding trees, you are assured perfect privacy as you soak your cares away. If you listen hard enough, you may hear the sounds of a waterfall on nearby Boone Fork Creek.
You may not ever want to leave the welcoming embrace of this well-appointed home. Should you tear yourself away, though, you will be pleased to learn that the cabin is located just 10 minutes outside of Blowing Rock and 15 minutes from Boone in the old Shull’s Mill area. The trailhead for Hebron Rocks Waterfall is just a quarter mile away, and the cabin is just four and a half miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and its hiking trails, as well as convenient to Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Ski Resorts and all that the High Country has to offer. We had a terrific stay at The Blessing. It is nice and secluded; you feel like you're the only people around. The house is very close to a quick walk down to Hebron Falls. We walked down to the falls and back and it was just about 1.5mi round trip. The kitchen is very well stocked and the extra fridge in the garage was helpful for the big group. We unfortunately had quite a rainy stay so we didn't get to enjoy the expansive deck space but thankfully the hot tub was fully covered and you could sit in it without getting drips from the deck above. My family and I stayed at The Blessing the early part of June. The home was absolutely beautiful and furnished perfect. We had lots of room for all of the adults and also the kids. The kitchen was amazing. The Blessing was immaculate and was cleaned, and ready for us on arrival. Thanks to the owners but also Blue Ridge Rental. Our annual summer family trip was made even better this year by this beautiful house. The location is absolutely breathtaking – we saw wildlife, beautiful views, and it is a very short walk to trails nearby. The house itself left no amazing detail Dash we all agreed that the rain shower in the master bath was the best & now everyone wants one. We really loved the personal touches in this house. Our family is quite large and this was the perfect location and rental property for us. This rental is perfect for families with many kids but also allows everyone access to quiet spaces. There is hiking, fishing, playgrounds etc very close by the property. The communication from the beginning to end of the process was outstanding! The house was wonderful, kitchen was well stocked (first time I've seen cast iron cookware!), bedrooms very comfortable and having six BRs and baths for six of us was nice! The Blessing was a perfect choice. The Blessing fit all of our friends comfortably. There was a great amount of parking and was not difficult to reaching the cabin. This is an amazingly gorgeous property. Very private a great mountain hideaway. Staff at Blue Ridge were so accommodating and kind. Highly recommended for large groups! Everything was perfect! We arrived at check in just a few minutes before closing and the service was top notch. The home itself was breathtaking. The rooms were clean, accommodations were better than described. The Blessing was truly a blessing to our family!! This is such a beautiful home and the owners have thought of everything from the decor to the comfortable beds and sheets to the cute "bear skin" rug in the children's room and includes a beautiful, functional, well stocked kitchen!! They even included a welcome bag filled with treats! We had a most restful and fun filled time at The Blessing and the whole family, including the grandchildren are asking when we can go back!! This was our large group of 5 families 3rd year of doing a ski vacation and this house was by far our best experience! We have already decided we will be back next year!! The house is beautiful inside and out. The bunk room and basement are the perfect hangout for kids and the hot tub was large enough for 8 adults. We enjoyed the porches and large living room for games. Every bathroom was done with the nicest finishes and large bedrooms through out. The garages were perfect for getting ski gear on.
