We really enjoyed our stay here! The home was very well-equipped, clean, and had everything we needed. We loved the loft space upstairs with an awesome movie collection, large bedrooms, fun game room in the basement, and clean hot tub. We'd definitely stay here again! Also, the property company was very easy to work and communicate with.

We thoroughly enjoyed our retreat in the mountains. Temps back home were in upper 90s and in Boone it was in low to mid 70s. Lots of activities for our 3 generations close by. We saw lots of wildlife at the cabin and surrounding area. The house itself was wonderful with 3 floors and a game room in the lowest floor. Kitchen was well stocked with plates etc. Everything worked well. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for a summer getaway.

This cabin was a great size for our family of 4 and could easily have held a few more people comfortably. It is only a few minutes from the downtown area but still in a quiet mountainside neighborhood. It was very clean and the host was easy to reach.

Very comfortable home, impeccably clean inside and out, perfectly working hot tub. It's located in a residential neighborhood, so you can easily see neighboring homes, but it still feels private. Kitchen had all the necessary cooking items, but make sure to bring your own seasonings/oil. About 10 minutes from downtown Boone.

We had a fantastic 2 day stay here. The property is close to everything and it was very clean when we got in. The hot tub and wood burning fireplace were the highlights and my kids loved it. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood that had recently been plowed it made getting in/out very easy. I would highly recommend this place and the rental agency. I called once about how to change the hot temp and they were very responsive.

We had a great stay at Southern Comfort while attending our daughters graduation from App State. The house was clean, beds were comfy and the air hockey table was put to good use. The hot tub was probably the cleanest one we've had at a rental! One thing, definitely heed the advice from other reviews to be careful going over the speed bump at the beginning of the community, if you are in a car.

We had an amazing time during our stay at the rental. We thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, uno in the hot tub. We had an issue with the AC unit and maintenance was able to help within hours.

Wonderful home away from home. Many amenities, centrally located to Blowing Rock, Boone and Banner Elk. Lots of nearby hiking trails, mountain views, lakes for kayaking and rafting adventures. Home was spacious and relaxing. Enjoyable week!

Beautiful home well equipped made us fell like home everything you need was there. Plenty of rooms for my family. Fun games for children and adults. Have a child with disabilities and having washer and dryer was really handy for us. Will recommend to friends and family or anyone looking for a place to spend some family time or a getaway. 100% Satisfy with our stay will be back soon!! Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals were amazing to work with! They were wonderful with getting back to me, even on a Sunday when we had a question about our upcoming trip. Southern Comfort was awesome! The house was very clean, easily accessible and the neighborhood was so peaceful. We made great use of the basements amenities and utilized the hot tub daily after hiking and tubing. Close to downtown Boone, App State (which we were touring for our daughter), Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Plenty of room for our family of 4 and our Goldens to spread out. We would definitely book this property again!

The location was pretty central. We were 20 minutes from Ski Appalachian, close to Banner Elk, and about 25 minutes to Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, which was awesome regardless of the weather conditions. The Cabin were very satisfied with the cleanliness of the property and the space. The Hot tub was amazing and much bigger than what it appears in photos. No snow on the property, however if there was...they had 2 sleds and a good yard for sledding! Hope to go back in the earlier months of winter but would definitely need a 4 wheel drive or chains.

Great weekend with grown children and grandchildren 7 and 9. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished with everything we could possibly need from linen to puzzles and movies. Saw deer, watched movies, drank hot chocolate and made some wonderful life memories. Hot tub was very relaxing after day of sightseeing, and alpine sliding. Great hosts. We are talking about a possible visit later this year.

We had a great time. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Neighborhood was nice, safe & quiet. Only (minor) issue was that it took about 30 minutes to get to each ski area, which was a little longer than expected. Otherwise it was great!

We had a great family weekend getaway here at Southern Comfort! The location was perfect and just 10-15 min away from both Boone and Blowing Rock. I would definitely book this place again for a Winter stay also. Very clean and spacious for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids.

We have family in Boone so some nights we had extra guests and some nights it was just the four of us. It made visiting college students way more fun than staying in their cramped apartments! It rained the whole time but nobody cared because their was plenty to do at the cabin and the large covered porch made it nice to sit outside and watch the liquid sunshine!

Thank you Southern Comfort for a wonderful stay!! The house was amazing for my families weekend getaway!! My kids were in tears leaving because they did not want to leave! So cozy and comfortable...wishing we could of stayed longer. Also...thank you for allowing us to bring our dog as well!! He was so happy and loved running around the property!! Most every year, my buddies and I get together to go relive our time at AppState by staying a couple of nights, enjoying tailgating and a football game, and hanging out at the great bars and restaurants around the Town of Boone. This past weekend, we elected to stay at Southern Comfort and the cabin was awesome! The location is really hard to beat. We were literally less than 10 minutes away from our customary tailgate spot just a short walk from Kidd Brewer Stadium. The cabin itself was very clean, well laid out, private not too secluded and was tastefully decorated to meet all of my groups needs. And the room rate per night was an incredible value. All in all, if you have a group of 5 to 8 people, this cabin will not disappoint. Thanks!
