Secretariat's Secret

Making the reservation was extremely easy. The cabin was awesome with wildlife, beautiful scenery all around us along with several great hiking trails. Keypad entry was a huge positive for us in that we didn't have to hunt down a key. We just drove to the cabin keyed in our code and had immediate access to the property. Departing instructions were easy to follow as well. Well worth the spend

My family really enjoyed the house. The location was great and quiet but easily accessible to stores. The host was great and had a quick response every time we reached out. The house had everything you could need. Just bring clothes and food.

What can we say about this place - we just loved it so much! The entire process of check in and communication was on point. The home was sparkling clean and fun to be in - like a museum! So many unique touches. We loved the Koi pond and the hot tub, and the time on the beautiful deck so much, and loved curling up around the fire at night to enjoy some wine and and conversation. If you are looking for a great place to stay that is convenient to many adorable shops, restaurants, blowing rock, trails, etc I highly recommend this home!

Our stay was incredible. Much better than I expected (and based on the photos, I was expecting it to be great!). The cabin is big enough to fit a group comfortably but also feels cozy, and the views are amazing. Checking in and out was a breeze, and the fire pit area and koi pond were like magic. I'd go back every weekend if I could. Hosts were super responsive. I have no critiques.

Awesome Coy fish pond in the back yard near the fire pit, the fish come right up to you ! Also good a place to stay if your going to Sugar Mtn because it's a short drive there , maybe 20 mins or so. And Linville falls if you wanna go for a hike is about 15 mins away. Hot tub was a great addition to this place to warm up after some snowboarding and skiing in the cold. Enjoyable view of the nature and close to the town as well. Overall great location , I definitely recommend this place if your wanting to hit the slopes and do some hiking as well or just walk around the town.

If your looking for a great place, close to amenities, close to skiing or some R&R, this place is perfect! Our family of 6 and our two small dogs felt very at home and would definitely be back!

Excellent location. My teenage daughters loved the hot tub. I loved the indoor fireplace. The kitchen had all the tools you would need.

The house was beautiful! I loved that they allowed our two dogs to come along (with a fee). The fireplace and hot tub were extra perks that us Florida people don't usually get to enjoy. The booking, checking in and out were so easy.

This is a lovely and spacious home. It had a well-equiped kitchen, a nice place to eat and play games. It had a wonderful deck with a hot tub that we all enjoyed. We were able to get Netflix so we could watch our favorite shows. I would Highly recommend this house.

Very easy to find, love the details put into the exterior and interior of the house! Crisp cool nights were a perfect time for the hot tub. Definitely recommend to those looking for an escape into the mountain side!

Property is secluded in the woods, while being a very short drive to Blowing Rock and downtown Boone. We had a great experience at this house.

“Very peaceful, private place. About 15 minutes away from restaurants and grocery stores. 30+ minutes to Artisanal. Beautiful Koi in the pond that you can feed. Very nice management company. ”

What a wonderful weekend of love, laughter, adventure, and relaxation for lifelong friends and new friends as well! This house was the setting for great conversation and memories to keep for a long time. This is a great place to enjoy the mountains any time of year.

Our family had such a great time at this cabin. This was a very last minute trip and the rental company pulled it off one more time. We've been renting from them for the past 5 - 6 years and never been disappointed! This cabin was just right for our family. We were hoping for snow, but unfortunately no snow LOL. Still we had a great time.

We thoroughly enjoyed a quick stay @ Secretariat's Secret. The home is lovely, peaceful, and just what we hoped for! The espresso machine was a nice surprise. We would definitely rent this home again.

We went to Boone to escape the Florida Summer Heat. Secretariat's Secret was the perfect getaway. Tucked in the woods high on a mountain with its own pond was only enhanced by temperatures in the mid 70's in the daytime and low 60's at night. We will definately stay here again!!

We stayed for our 7th anniversary and had a wonderful time. The truth be told, we enjoyed this place so much that we only left to go to the grocery store. The great view, privacy, and all the amenities really makes it hard to leave. The full functional kitchen and hot tub is a great recipt for a romantic getaway. My advice is to head out to the nearest grocery store and then come back and enjoy the Secretariat because time flies too fast here.

We stayed at "Secretariat's Secret" for our honeymoon and we couldn't have enoyed ourselves more. We loved the house, the secluded location, the hot tub.. honestly we loved it all. Having seen most of the tourist attractions previsouly (we love the mts), we spent most of our time relaxing, eating, and enjoying each others company. Places we recommend eating: murphys, the local, and the peddlin' pig. We also saw two movies at the local theater and on our final night we drove to Charlotte and watched the Hornets beat the 76ers. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our trip and each other. We loved our stay here and the staff at the management company were amazing!! Can't wait to come back!
