We had early check in to start our trip off!We have stayed here before and loved it! We couldnt open the hot tub and called and someone came and opened it for us. We are planning on staying again in the future.

We loved the place we stayed, called the Riverdream. Blue Ridge Rentals did a great job keeping us informed about the rental, how to get in, use the hot tub, etc. They even brought us a new coffee maker when they learned the carafe of the one in the rental was cracked and leaked. It was a terrific getaway at a reasonable price! The location was central to the towns and places we wanted to see and things we wanted to do.

The house was very nice and clean. It's about 20 minutes from Boone and 20 minutes from banner elk. I would definitely like to come back in the summer time. It fit 10 of us comfortably.

We ended up renting Riverdream due to a late cancellation of the property we had rented on the Gulf Coast with only a month notice. We were unable to find a comparable beach property, so we shifted our search to the mountains of North Carolina. The property offered a large front porch facing the Watauga River, 5 bedrooms, and appeared to be very spacious (with an en suite for my wife and I to “get away” from everyone else). I can say that Riverdream delivered on all the expectations. Every morning I came up from the en suite to the main floor, we'd spend some time sitting on the front porch and enjoy the sounds from the river. The property is pretty quiet, with the occasional car going by, but mostly just natural sounds to listen to during the day. The bedrooms are comfortable and there are 5 TV's in the house. There are at least 2 DVD players and a large collection of movies to choose from (in addition to the cable/satellite system). There's also a good collection of books available to read at the house. WiFi was good and consistent. There's a second (somewhat noisy) fridge on the ground floor near the en suite in the family room that was convenient when we were downstairs. The sectional was comfortable and a nice place to relax after a long day. As far as location, the property is about 3 miles from the Mast General Store along a windy road that follows the river. It was probably another 15-20 minutes from there into Boone. We thought it was reasonably convenient to the surrounding communities like Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. We did a few trips away from the house, but spent a fair amount of time around the house, cooking meals and visiting with family (we came from 3 different states to vacation together). I'd recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a quiet getaway with a larger family or group of friends.

This house was a perfect spot for a family getaway. We had rain one day, and the 2 living spaces were perfect for movie watching downstairs and meals and gabfest upstairs. The location on the river was absolutely perfect. The sound of the water was so calming. The river is perfect to wade in and practice your fly fishing, which we did! The house was clean and outfitted with fluffy towels and cozy linens and throws for reading on the covered porch overlooking the lawn and river. The view of the Baird House nextdoor, the oldest house in the county, was an extra treat. All in all, this spot was lovely and we'd definitely return.

Place was clean and everything was setup properly. I never needed to contact the management company. They even had two men come to shovel some of the snow off of the stairs when we were there. I recommend this place.

We stayed at Riverdream in Sugar Grove for our weekend trip to Hawks Nest. Riverdream is a 5 bedroom house with beautiful view of the Watauga River just on the other side of the street. The house was large, nicely furnished, with everything we needed, including the (very hot) hot tub and all the small appliances we needed. There was even a generous supply of things we didn't expect (and don't get) in our timeshares, such as aluminum foil and baggies, plenty of dishes and glassware, including wine glasses. We were also pleasantly surprised that there was a large selection of books, DVDs, and games to keep everyone occupied at night. We will definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for our family including 2 grandparents. They layout couldn't have been better to allow for social distancing of our older, more susceptible to Covid, family members (they sleep on the bottom floor where they had an easily accessible 1 step entrance. The rest of the family had ample space in the clean and well stocked 2nd floor. The teenagers used the hot tub, everyone enjoyed the fire pit and evenings stargazing. The river just in front of the house was serene. I love to explore new places to stay when we visit the mountains but this house is a keeper! We did have an issue with the hot water heater (it didn't work) but the management company had it repaired the same day that I let them know! Great, quick service that didn't disrupt our stay at all.

My family rented Riverdream for a long weekend. Perfect in every way. Totally comfortable. Stunning view of the Watauga River which we had access to. Glorious hot tub enjoyable on cool summer evenings. 2 miles from the original Mast Store. Peaceful quiet surroundings. Spotlessly clean. Bravo to the owners!

This was a perfect halfway point for family coming from Florida and New York. There was plenty of room,games for the kids,comfy beds , a wonderful jacuzzi . We liked that the house was not too far up into the Mountains too.

The people we dealt with at Blue Ridge Rentals were absolutely wonderful. We appreciated the nice appointments: there were nice towels, games for the children, movies and good books to read. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. Everything was well laid out for our extremely large family and we enjoyed being right on the river. It was a great weekend. Thank you.

My family and some old friends from Florida spent a wonderful weekend in the well maintained, comfortable and quite attractive Riverdream cottage. We enjoyed a little fishing in the Watauga, visiting by riverside and family time inside the cabin. Everything was very nice. Our Florida friends hope to rent the cabin for an entire week this summer. I am sure we will be back too! Thanks!!

This home was so perfect for our two families, I just cannot imagine it being any more perfect! The road in front is quiet and has very little traffic. The river is right there! You can almost check the conditions right from the front porch. Inside, the beds were comfy - my picky sister had the master bedroom on the main level and she RAVED about the mattress. My niece loved her bedroom on the other side of the main level, and my husband and I enjoyed our privacy downstairs in the master suite. There is a door at the top of the stairs, separating the levels, which made for very quiet mornings for everyone. We brought our coffee maker and set it up downstairs and had our own, private coffee station in the morning. No need to go upstairs and wake anyone! The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need - kitchen and entertainment. There is a wall of books, videos and board games! My husband loved being able to walk outside first thing in the morning and wade into the river. He even caught a small trout! We will back.
